Radical Republicans believed that blacks were entitled to equal political opportunities and rights as whites. They also believed that Confederate leaders should be punished for what they did in the Civil War. People like representative Thaddeus Stevens and Senator Charles Sumner were extremely against Andrew Johnson's lenient policies and thought the federal government stuck its nose in state affairs too much. They learn the opinions of a certain group that believes that immigration, especially unauthorized immigration is a burden to the United States. It issue leads people to understand that issues such as this, will not always have a solution. The republican party has stood strong in its belief that the right to bear arms is a natural right to all American citizens as it is written in the constitution. “The first ten amendments of the Constitution describe the undeniable rights of every individual American. Democrats and Republicans share many similar aspects. Such similarities noted are due to their ideology that the economic state of the United States requires renewal. There is also noted that from both parties they aim to bring back the “American Dream.” Differences from each party are witnessed by the direction of responsibility placed upon failures of each to cause such problems as the economic decline. By this basis, the Democratic Party has stepped forward to saying the problem lies with the two wars we have been placed in by our previous administration.

The Republican Party has long relied on the support of older, white, conservatives. Regrettably, they are a shrinking portion of the voting population. The problem that they face is a shrinking voter base, mainly due to age. As their electorate shrinks, it is imperative for the party to appeal to the more liberal younger generations for support. The Republican Party needs to look forward to true reform. Above all, the party needs to abandon much of their social conservatism to appeal to millennials ' interests to stay relevant on the national political scene.

The way that I grew up was out in rural Memphis, Tennessee. Therefore, I was raised to be a Christian and a republican. But my family was slightly different than the rest of the people I lived around. They did not raise me to be a right winged republican. Instead, they took to heart what both democrats and republicans had to say and they agree a little with both. So, that is how I am today, I would not go and vote for someone just because they are a republican. If there is a person that is democrat, but brings to the table more ideas that I agree with then I am more likely to vote for them. It depends on what the person has to say, not what party they are in. I have met many people that do not share my way of thinking, most of them whom are democrat, and do not believe that it is

Diversity is extremely important for our country, then I strongly agree with the Republican’s stance that immigration should be for improving our country and economy, and should not be allowed for sex trafficking, gangs, or illegal drug contraband. It appears that the Republicans desire immigration to be monitored in order to improve our countries well-being. I do agree that we should not have quota limits on who can immigrate into the country, which is supported by the Republicans, but should have them dispersed eliminating the concept of “sanctuary cities.” This result in an overload for the city, and all who participate within the city will acquire difficulties. It is easier to acclimate to a new place if adequate resources are in place.

In America, every political party has a certain set of beliefs comprised of members with their own personal beliefs that may differ from their associated party. I consider myself to be independent from any party and to be a moderate. I have beliefs that agree with both the Democratic and Republican parties but I do not think I fit into either well enough to say I belong to either. Evidence for my reasoning is shown through my more “Republican” beliefs, my more”Democratic” beliefs, why I associate with neither party, and where I stand politically overall.

Republicans do value what immigrants bring to better the United States. The Republicans Views believe illegal immigrants enrich our country; however, Republicans also say in order for the immigrants to do so it needs to be done legally for the safety of Americans.
