Causes of Julius Caesar's death Julius Caesar's death was a Tragedy. Ironically the play name is The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, so of course it was a tragedy. Caesar's death is caused by his personality and himself, if he had lived, there would be more tragedy in Rome than if he died. In the Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Caesar dies due to the conspiracy’s beliefs on killing him being right, and how he ignores the warnings of his death. Proving that his personality got in his own way, and would have lead to future chaos in Rome.

The conspiracy is made up mostly of Caesar's close friends, but they believed that his personality would destroy Rome, so they believed killing him was the right deed to do.

“Beware the ides of March” The soothsayer tells Caesar to beware the ides of March, Caesar thinks nothing of it. This is a mistake made by Caesar to ignore the sign, his personality got in his way thinking nothing of this costed him his life.
“ Thrice hath Calpurnia in her sleep cried out. ‘Help ho! They murder Caesar!’”
Calpurnia dreams that Caesar will be murdered and thinks it is foolish. It is a mistake by Caesar to think it is foolish because it foreshadowed his death that eventually happened. His personality got in his own way and ended up costing his life. Caesar ignoring the signs and foreshadows throughout the play ended up costing his own life as his personality got in his own way.
Caesar's personality got in his own way, and would have lead to future chaos in Rome if he had lived. He dies due to the Conspiracy’s beliefs on killing him being right, and how he ignores the warnings of his death. Would there have been more Tragedy in Rome with Caesar alive, or
