The United States of America was founded on July 4, 1776 during the second Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia. During this meeting America declared independence, which let the world know that it was now a free country. Since that day, America has been recognized as a land of opportunity and prosperity. As said by President Barack Obama, “Now, as a nation, we don't promise equal outcomes, but we were founded on the idea everybody should have an equal opportunity to succeed. No matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from, you can make it. That's an essential promise of America. Where you start should not determine where you end up”(Obama). The United States of America is known for their rich history, freedoms, cultural and ethnic diversity, which makes up its identity.

More specifically, Americans have the the ability to practice a religion of their choosing without being persecuted, so people from around the world are traveling to America to practice their religion freely. In America, we also have the freedom of press which is the ability to communicate through the media without receiving punishment. In some countries, their citizens are unable to do so without being prosecuted. America is also known for its right to assemble peacefully. Recently, America has been known to have used this freedom to their advantage while protesting for education, rights, and new laws. Lastly, America has the right to petition the government, which allows citizens to express their feelings towards certain laws and legislation. I think that the promise of America is giving the lifestyles that people wants. For example, people would like to have their dream jobs and dream houses. They would also like the freedom that they can get, such as having the rights to vote for what they want and speak up to what they believe in. An American Promise is popular all over the places because they think that it will improve their life than the life they have now.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These words should sound familiar to most people. They were included in the Declaration of Independence, which was mainly written by Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration announced America’s separation from Britain, tyranny, and the monarchy.
A question most fascinating to me is where in history does the first hint of American ideals and identities originate from? If we were to look at where the fiery passions of an American identity first arise we have to look to where the colonists first fought for their right to be a recognized citizen of America. American colonists formed their identity through the ideas of liberty, resistance to unfair British jurisdiction, and cultural diversity. Their identities formed between the Seven Years War and the American Revolutionary War as these two events deeply brought out what the colonist’s ideals were and what they fought for so passionately. Between these years 1763 and 1775 we see the first American ideals being born in the colonies. An example of such ideals is the want and need for Liberty. A reason for wanting liberty was that British control suppressed the lives of the people living in America and over time grew harder for colonists to live with. Americans are revered to have a passionate patriotic view of their country and this is true as it is seen throughout history but in my research I will try to explain where these ideals first arose.
In 1775, our Founding Fathers had an idea, an idea of a new country a country called America. America was founded off of just a few key principles: freedom, democracy, and liberty for all, and now, more than 200 hundred years later, those key principles are still active today. Each one of those principals have been tested and people have tried to topple our great empire of justice and liberty.
The American dream is about working hard for what you are trying to achieve. The American dream comes from our past clear down to today and with influences it becomes a superior ambition. So much has changed historically since that time in America. We have survived the Civil War, World War 1, Pearl Harbor, World War 2, the Cold War, the civil rights movement, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In this essay I will tell you what America’s gift to my generation. I will be writing about the different electronics, games, rights, veterans, and solar power. The most important thing that was given to my generation was my teacher Mrs. Evjen or Jody Evjen.
The United States has given so many opportunities to my generation, Americans have been given so many opportunities like safety, career opportunities, educational opportunities and so on. One thing I would like to talk about is freedom. People are not being told what to wear or where to work, so many people can do what they want. People don’t have to be bossed around. In a world things are messed up for a reason. Sometimes we don't always understand this reason but things always seem to work out in just the right ways. Yes, there's crime, poverty, and struggles between the human race but without them America wouldn’t be how it is today. However I have a dream, a dream of a perfect America where those things didn't happen.
In the past, the United States has endured many tragic events; including natural disasters, wars, increase in poverty and homelessness, pollution, illness, and many others. It is very evident that personal sacrifices must be made to keep the world in order and maintain its life. Many stories have explained that in the near future of America, humans will have to sacrifice many things to keep the world and its life in order and maintained. The future of America is a world where it does not revolve around what the people want, it is revolved around what has to be done in order for them to continue living and being able to survive.

It is in this sentence from the Declaration of Independence, that the idea of the American dream has its roots. The phrase, “the American dream” can mean many different things, but among the most basic interpretation is that America is a land of opportunity and freedom for all who come to it. The idea of the American dream has influenced people to come to America in search of economic opportunities, political choice, and religious freedom.
