Sensitivity Settings right for you!
Like in other first person shooter games, you will want to make you the vertical and horizontal aiming speed settings are set up nicely for your play style! In most circumstances, the default setting should appeal for many players, but if it isn't right for you, then change it faster or slower, then do some practice runs with it, like in Spartan Ops or Campaign. Once these settings are perfect, then you should be good to go! This tip can be applied to nearly any First Person Shooter game, like Call of Duty and such!
Make Load outs compliment the set!
Make Load outs compliment the design it was made for! It you are making a long range, sniper type, then make sure all your load out selections compliment the design. For example, Active Camouflage, a mid-range weapon setup like a DMR or Battle Rifle, and a good choice for pistol would be like the Magnum, with a mobility mod to make it easy to get into positions without tiring out. Or for a close range soldier, have dexterity for quick reloads, and close range weapons like the assault rifle or storm rifle, with supply as well, to get more grenades from dead bodies.
Stay with the Team/Complete Objectives
For games like Dominion, where there is objectives to complete, it is more important to take these objectives than just getting kills, and working together with the team is crucial to success! Help them take those bases, and offer support fire
In Richard Connell’s short story “The Most Dangerous Game”, the protagonist character, Sander Rainsford is an adventurous and fearless big game hunter. Rainsford has no remorse for his prey. Over the course of the story Rainsford experiences a sudden change of heart when he finds himself where “The world is made up of two classes—the hunters and the huntees.”
Despite the fact that the “founding fathers” never intended to unite Kilbourntown, Juneautown, and Walker’s Point into one city, the “Bridge War” of 1845, ultimately united these three towns into one and formed the city of Milwaukee. Furthermore, the cause of the war came from the conflicts between the two founders Byron Kilbourn and Solomon Juneau. There quarrel appeared to be never ceasing, and while George Walker was merely caught in the crossfire, there seemed to be zero hope for the “founding fathers” to come together and set aside their differences. In fact, it wasn’t until the destruction of bridges, and severe terrorization that these three men were finally able to come together and find a compromise to unite the three towns into the largest metropolitan of Wisconsin. Although, this brief moment in history may seem insignificant, in that the battle was short lived and resulted in zero deaths, it essentially altered history, by establishing a united
2. “Hunting? Good God, General Zaroff, what you speak of is murder”( Connell 158). This is a strong warn. That indicates the so-called hunting is murder.
Some stories do not have many different conflicts in the story. For example, in “Little Red Riding Hood” there is only one conflict which is Man vs Wolf or Man vs Man, but in some stories like “The Most Dangerous Game” there are all three conflicts throughout the book. Having more conflicts gives the story a bigger theme of suspense. In “Little Red Riding Hood”, the only conflict is getting to her grandma’s house where in “The Most Dangerous Game” there are many different conflicts that give the story more suspense and make it more interesting. Furthermore, there are many examples of conflicts in the short story.
How would it feel to suddenly go from being the hunter to becoming the prey? That is exactly what happened to Rainsford, one of the main characters in The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell. Rainsford was a big game hunter who accidentally fell of of his yacht. He swam to a nearby island, and there he met General Zaroff, a cruel man who hunts humans for sport. In exchange for release from the island, Rainsford agrees to be hunted by Zaroff. Consequently, Rainsford is a survivor because he kills Zaroff and wins the game. Rainsford is also a survivor because he demonstrates the qualities that a person must have to be considered a survivor. Although Rainsford is a survivor, Zaroff is not. To be considered a survivor, a person must go through a traumatic or life-threatening experience but still demonstrate resilience and determination.
I will be comparing the video verion of The Most Dangerous Game to the story.
“A Splendid Little War” was an alternative title to the Spanish American War named by Ambassador John Hay to his good friend Theodore Roosevelt. This war was one of the shortest wars of all time, lasting only about four months. Surprisingly, the main cause of death in this war wasn’t by being shot, but by dying of diseases such as Yellow Fever, Malaria and other diseases. Only 9,413 Spaniards were killed by wounds and combat and 53,540 were killed by many diseases. In this “Splendid Little War” America was able to free Spain's overseas empire which included Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. The United States was also hungry for foreign good that weren’t available to them in the homeland. After an easy victory over Spain, American was able to control islands in the seas such as Cuba, The Philippines and Guam. After this war, Spain was no longer a world power and the United States was on its way to the top.
The late 19th and early 20th centuries were a time of immense change in Europe. Germany had recently unified, destabilizing the centuries-old balance of power. The second industrial revolution was in full swing, and Europeans thrilled to the latest inventions, from the skyscraper, the first airplanes, and, most ominously, to the machine guns of Maxim and Krupp. During this time, Europeans perceived sports in a number of ways. First of all, many saw sports as an arena to train their nations for war. Secondly, others saw sports as a unifying principle around which to build nationalism and ethnic identity. Finally, many simply saw sports simply as a healthy and productive activity.
The operations of the Potomac and Rappahannock started with eight on board the Blossom. One person who was named Bagley was reported being engaged in traffic between the states of Virginia and Maryland upward to a full year. There were 30 sacks of wheat on the vessel. On the 11th instant, Acting Master Josselyn chased and ran on shore a small sloop which was attempting to cross to Virginia from Breton’s Bay. The crew managed to escape while also destroying or carrying with them everything except some salt and 2 hogsheads of sugar. The prisoners, vessel, and prize goods are secure and were handed over to the provost-marshal which was according to
Though serving in a highly disciplined, well trained, and well equipped force, I faced mental and physical adversity, a numerically superior enemy, and a dynamic battlefield. I served with fellow Noncommissioned Officers and leaders with vast tactical combat experience, but we were operating in highly restrictive terrain behind enemy lines. As we worked to create breathing room for the Battle Space Owner and defeat the insurgents on their own turf, we took several casualties and would be tested in our ability to remain equally dynamic to the battlefield, bring every asset to bare to accomplish the mission, and adapt our common tactics in order to survive.
Limited war was not so successful. Eventually, Lincoln realized that limited war should be replaced by total war. When total war began Lincoln order that the southern ports be blockaded and he insisted that 75,000 voluntary serve for the ninety days. Ulysses S grant implemented the policy of total warfare because, “he was determined to control the Mississippi valley”(86). Grant was very eager to be involved in the war and the actions he took proved to be very victories. He was able to capture nearly fifteen hundred prison in Tennessee valley. He also secured “Nashville and Memphis suppliers at Shiloh, and Vicksburg . Grant, following what Lincoln had stated about total war, allowed his men to forage food and take whatever plantation they could.
Most people wouldn't assume that smoking a cigarette could leave someone stranded on an island but unfortunately it was just that that lead to Rainsford's life being in a severe amount of danger on his own with no one to blame but himself. This all takes place in a story written by Richard Connell called, The Most Dangerous Game in which the main character Rainsford wounds up stranded on an island where he is forced to fight over the course of three days in the most dangerous game. In the film High Noon written by Carl Foreman the main character and towns marshall Will Kane is put to the test when his long time rival Frank Miller returns back to town in hopes of getting long lasting revenge on him. Unfortunately all that small town Hadleyvilles
On December twenty-third of the year 1776, Thomas Paine wrote the renowned words, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Never had truer words been written. Not only was the revolution trying for the men of the colonial army, but for the British army, and all those who had something riding on the outcome of the war. Though they were subjected to different sides of the war, George Washington, King George III of England and William Howe all experienced the hardships and trying times of the year 1776.
The Experience Of War Many authors have written about war themes, some extracts of the stories and poems that I have read and researched are The Upturned Face by Steven Crane .It is about a fictional war being fought in an imaginary Europe. Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell describes his senses and feeling of getting shot in the neck during battle. Exposure by Wilfred Owen, describes the horrors and reality of being in the trenches of the First World War. And The Making of Me by Robert Westall is about a shell-shocked grandfather who has the responsibility of looking after his grandchild.
War has been a part of human culture since it's birth. It has led to a great many massacres and has shown us the evil that exists within the souls of humanity. Some have even gone as far as saying that war is human nature. To better understand the reasons behind war and how it affects others, I've examined several different societies and cultures so as to better understand the necessity of war and see the cause of their external war attitude. To do so, different variables from two topics (military institutions and external war attitude) were matched up and crossed so as to look into the answers to these questions. The variables were then calculated and through these graphs, I was able to find different societies in which
