In late october 2013 I was sitting in the customer lounge of the dealership I was working at on lunch. After 11 months of coming to terms and having gone through rehab for the spectical of Star Citizen, me and a friend were looking at new releases across steam when we came to Space Engineers. A space sand box, minecraft esce game in early access being built by a company called Keen Software house, which had one other release called Miner Wars. On Febuary 4th i bought the game after a demo of the build system and was hooked to it. That was 4 years ago now and over 1000 hours across 3 accounts, 538 on my main, I feel the need to finally talk about this game. At the time of buying Space Engineers there was nothing else like it that I had …show more content…
While the devs push a weekly update many in the community feel that it is not a good way go go about things. Fixes are good but a lack of testing every week leads to updates that feel rushed or push us one step forward and 1 and a half steps back. This cycle has lead to quite a few in the community to shelve the game until it is more stable and many in that camp feel that this may never happen. The net code for the game is another hot topic. The games is constantly trying to figure out world position, player position and grid to subgrid position. This makes some builds summon what the community call clang, the noise the block system makes when it breaks or goes haywire. Clang normally rears its head when the games rotors, pistons or wheels are used in a way that bogs down the games simulation speed which causes some calculations the go nuts and a grid will not agree with the position of these objects and the subgrinds that they use causing either a physics freak out or destruction of the vehicle. The reason this is a major problem in the netcode is all of the above problems are amplified when 2 or more people are present in a server. Rubber banding of positions for craft and people cause destruction, and while sometimes funny, can destroy a hour or so of work in a few short seconds. Another issue with the develpment is what the community would like and what the devs are implementing. While it is the Devs game to make how they want
“I got up and pretended to study the pictures on the walls like I was a lover of religious art. When I got to the Merciful Mother right above Sinita’s head, I reached in my pocket and pulled out the bottom I’d found on the train. It was sparkly like a diamond and had a little hole in back so you could thread a ribbon through it and wear it like a romantic lady’s choker necklace. It wasn’t something I’d do, but I could see the button would make a good trade with someone inclined in that direction.
As they moved closer, Calvin noticed a someone speaking at a podium on a makeshift stage. From the distance, he noticed that many of the people in the crowd were middle-aged white men draped Confederate States of America paraphernalia. Upon noticing this, he signaled his family to go to the nearby pond without him as he’d catch up later. Janice took the kids to the pond while Calvin walked toward the crowd. When he arrived, about 30 yards from the podium, he recognized the man speaking. It was none other than Billy Cobb Guidry. In front of all these people, he spoke of white power, “niggers taking our country”, and “Mexicans going back where the hell they came from”. As the only black person anywhere in sight, Calvin left the scene filled
Exapmles of actions and decisions based on man’s wisdom and god’s wisdom was when they encountered the goathearded and decided to let them go. Even though they knew of the risk that if they let them go, they might inform the tailaban or mignt get tortured by the taiban to revela anyhthng they still let them go. This celary shos they wiesom and how they are under gods rule. It isn’t easy to leave your life up to luck. That what they exactly did they would rather free the goatheards than themselves. It shows hos gods wisom is in them. Shortly after large numbe of tailaban troops came down to the mountains They fight back, killing many Taliban soldiers, but they’re so badly outnumbered that they have no choice but to retreat, jumping down the
The courtroom bustles with the activity and chatter of a hundred different noble families, and their cousins on top of that. Veronique purses her lips at the head of the table, watching the incessant gossip of one woman pass onto another. The servants scramble with plates of food and bottles of wine alike, back and forth across the marbled floor. She does not know – or rather, she knows very well – why Caine insists on the constant socialisation. He flits about from noble to noble, like some sort of graceless hummingbird, laughing or frowning when he must. The mask is wonky on his face, clinging around his temples far too tightly, and pulling away from his nose as if repulsed. It is, all in all, quite the sight, she thinks. Veronique
V2 grimaced as he folded his arms across his chest. A local carnival had arrived in town and was stationed in the open lot across from Toshizou's manor. For the most part, V2 hated crowds of people, they drove him mad, not to mention the odor their bodies gave off when V2 was close enough to smell the blood that ran through their very veins.
In 1981 there were huge divisions throughout New Zealand due to the South African rugby team touring New Zealand. The tour lasted 56 days in total and started on the 22nd of July at Gisborne and finished 12th of September at Auckland. This tour affected nearly all of New Zealand; families and friends were put against each other - divided by who was for and against the tour.
As a member of the SSC Charity Committee I would benefit from gaining invaluable experience working with the Ronald McDonald House. Being a university student does not place myself in best position to donate money, however I am able to contribute my time. Previous experience in medical centers has provided insight to how a welcoming environment can alleviate the strain of dealing with personal health issues or those in family members. I can recall several instances in which children were flooded with fear knowing they would be seeing a doctor. Experiences in the past such as the pain of needles, the cold feel of a stethoscope, or the roughness of a tongue depressor all contribute to the negative attitudes of children towards medical
“With the loss of such a large chunk of the world population, militaries returned to slash and burn methods as they retreated, further damaging the environment. And, the loss of population also meant a decline of workers, which had a devastating domino effect on industry and those manufacturers that supplied the war machines. This resulted in rapidly failing economies throughout the world which then ultimately birthed the complete shutdown of governments, and politicians turning their backs on their own people as they went into hiding.
Today is Monday, that is day four if you if you place at day zero or day five if you called placement day of age. The temperature last night was 17 degrees. It went from 33 down to 17 and I knew that last night just at dark so what I did was closed the window, closed the ventilation, put in and turned on the heat lamp. When I came in this morning, they were nicely dispersed, they were steady state again, really happy in what I saw. So today what we did is definitely a little bit more managerial things we took the bellefonte's and cleaned them thoroughly. Again you should clean them everyday because the warmer the water and debris gets in there it promotes bacterial growth so we cleaned them. We got rid of all our small feed lids we don’t
Alex, let’s go home. The music is too loud now and I’m really exhausted. By the way the club is about to close in an hour anyways. My head is spinning. Let’s go to my house. Alex’s bracelet started flashing a couple of minutes later, which meant she had a mission to complete. I got so excited and said I will go with her, but she replied by saying that headquarters said that I wasn’t allowed to come in this mission and that I wasn’t feeling well too. I wondered why I wasn’t allowed, but that isn’t pertinent to what I started thinking. I was afraid something would happen since we were walking alone because it was midnight and bad things happen when we are alone on the streets. She wasn’t walking with the other agents because we have to meet
They weren't back to being total friends but they at least didn't hate each other. Well not as much. Mal still felt A little unexcluded because Lu and that girl were hanging out more and Mal was just there a tagging along. Mal, Lu, and that girl both have science together but there was a group project today, and Mal really wanted to work with Lu but then that girl came in and took Lu, Mal was sad because Lu and her usually do projects together. Mal was definitely feeling a little excluding happening between her, Lu and that girl but she ignored it because obviously there was still some recovering from the fight that Lu and Mal had. When school finished and everyone went to their lockers Mal met up with Lu and they were waiting in the lobby
