“With the loss of such a large chunk of the world population, militaries returned to slash and burn methods as they retreated, further damaging the environment. And, the loss of population also meant a decline of workers, which had a devastating domino effect on industry and those manufacturers that supplied the war machines. This resulted in rapidly failing economies throughout the world which then ultimately birthed the complete shutdown of governments, and politicians turning their backs on their own people as they went into hiding. “By 2029, the great wars were already looking like they were beginning their death throes. Armies no longer had the manpower to keep fighting due to having taken heavy mass casualties throughout 2027 and …show more content…
“With a world population down below five percent from what it was originally before the wars and that number expected to plummet to below one percent, the apparatuses seemed like a viable, if not only, option for the continuation of humankind. With the planet’s current dire state, polluted and destroyed, day-to-day survival had become utter misery at best. So, at least, being imprisoned in a pod, in the simulated paradise that it provided, didn’t seem all too bad an option. “The first of the pods were initially put into production on a full-scale effort sometime in the summer of 2029 just as the great wars had ended. Their manufacture, at the time, had used up what was left of the government’s available resources to do so, but they got it done, and the first of the survivors entered in internment on November 3, 2029. “Soon, pod facilities started to spring up throughout Europe, the United States, and Canada. At least, what was left of those places. And, by March of 2030, more than half of the surviving population of the planet—those who could afford the enormous cost of a pod—were actively sealed away in I.I.L.A.s. “The apparatuses, however, didn’t just come with a heavy price tag, though, Phillip. They came with a maintenance cost as well. Someone one had to stay behind and preserve the integrity and infrastructure of the pod’s mechanical and
ENGI 2304 requires a report that analyzes the feasibility of the science used in any science fiction film. I will focus on the potentiality of hibernation pods in real life, mainly on how it could be made.
Our capsule is much larger than previous ones due to the necessities needed to support life. The complex had three floors partitioned into several sections. At the center of each was a circular room with a ladder. Arranged along the north side are inter-capsule communication monitors. On the top floor, the central room also provides our communications panel used to contact Earth. On the top floor, the outer ring is divided into an exercise room to the north and a dining room to the south. The middle floor’s outer ring is divided into a lab to the south, the men’s living quarters to the northwest, the women’s living quarter’s to the northeast. The lowest floor’s outer ring contains the greenhouse.
"Everywhere in the world was heard the sound of things breaking." Advanced European societies could not support long wars or so many thought prior to World War I. They were right in a way. The societies could not support a long war unchanged. The First World War left no aspect of European civilization untouched as pre-war governments were transformed to fight total war. The war metamorphed Europe socially, politicaly, economically, and intellectualy.

European countries channeled all of their resources into total war which resulted in enormous social change. The result of working together for a common goal seemed to be unifying European societies. Death knocked down all barriers between people. All belligerents had enacted some form
Suddenly, the room exploded with extremely bright lights as the ships generators started up. With a sudden burst of blue light the pods hatch burst off and dissolved into nothingness. The human inside woke
It is quite clear that any attempt by Congress to legislate new sanctions or conditions beyond the JCPOA scope can be interpreted as a sign of bad faith by United States and it will be rejected by European Allies, then it will be the US that will have gone rogue and isolated.
They led into other rooms filled with pods—tubes—or whatever you called them. They must have had tens of thousands of people in those tubes. Phillip, maybe millions. If we were in them, and I saw my family in them, too, then it’s probable that all of us are in them. Our whole world is in those tubes.”
“Now, when I was young there was only what would have been considered a handful of us left in existence… the human populace, that is. Oh, I don’t know what the numbers were exactly, but I would say the human population was around thirty-five million worldwide, give or take a few. That number was better than what it had been, of course… Back around 2030 at the time of the conclusion of the great wars it was next to nothing. And, if I recall correctly, it

If shown on the maps, how did the area change from the historic map to the modern map in terms of: The places since 1810 to 2017 have changed drastically. I like looking at the maps to really see where my ancestors lived. As I went through the maps you could see the counties change over the years and add more as the population grew. My relatives lived in Allegheny, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States in the 1810’s and through the 1850’s. This area is around Pittsburg, as you would see it today.
On August 22, 2016, Washington State University became a tobacco and nicotine free campus. The reason for this new change is the university wants to “focus on the promotion of tobacco and nicotine cessation programs form students, faculty, and staff” (EHS). When the new policy became in effect the Environment Health and safety came out with two documents. One document, EHS Announcement, gave an announcement about the new law that is enforced on campus now. In the other document, SPPM 6.10, goes into depth about the change on campus. Each piece is informative and share similar characterizes. Both documents have the same author, Environmental Health, and Safety. In both the documents the indented readers of people of Washington State
“By June 17, 2030, the last of the great wars had ceased,” Stacy began to explain as the mainframe brought up entirely new images. “All of the world’s governments had fallen and their military were left depleted of not only crucial supplies, but of able bodied fighters. In the end, there were no victors of any of the great wars as a result of population depletion. Only a slow, drawn out series of cease fires which took place as the world’s population continued to dwindle down even further due to the rapid spread of disease, pollution, and lack of food.
The Tic pod was cramped at best holding a small squad and not much more. Releasing the hatch he watched as powerful hydraulics forced open a jaw like structure designed to tear open enemy ships. The wall crumbled under the pressure, opening a clear path into the next room. Dust swirled in the air and the lights flickered giving the room a menacing feel, although to the artificial intelligence they were all just variables that could not be quantified. A sensation that he was not used to hit him and it took a moment to realize it was burnt flesh. Not used to smelling anything the sensation was not unpleasant, just interesting.
The overcast, gloomy sky cast an ominous atmosphere over the makeshift boat, while the water gently ebbed at it. Ren and the Emissary stepped out of the vessel, the latter coughing uncontrollably at the cold. After a while, the Emissary palmed a coin into Ren’s hand and started towards the faint glimmer of what seemed to be a lighthouse in the distance. Ren stared at her as she determinedly made her way towards the mysterious structure.
