Reflective Paper
(1.) Use and integrate technology to create graphic design solutions.
I used a Mac with the Adobe Photoshop software to create the graphic design solutions for the problems. Purposely I used the software to manipulate the image provided of the theme park to look like an old western town. With the use of Adobe Photoshop, I was allowed to change the sky to a stunning sunset, the pavement into a dirt, remove the people, modern structures (signs and roller coasters) from the image. I also added myself to the scene. (2.) Use critical thinking and reflection to create graphic design solutions.
Before I began the design solution to the problem presented by my boss, critical thinking and reflection were used. I have a western fest watching all of my favorite John Wayne movies. I paid close attention to the background. I chose a mountain scene at twilight to give a feeling of the open range. When featuring myself in the scene I wore a plaid shirt, cowboy hat, jeans and a black pair boots. I found an appropriate jail window that I thought worked well with the structure.

I gave a lot of thought to the ethical implications of the scenario presented in the design problem with this assignment. I truly felt uneasy about it. There could be serious ethical ramification relating to changing the existing theme park into an Old Western Town and Resort. I decided to go ahead with this project after requesting a rider to be associated with the advertising. The rider would state that this is a theoretical representation of what the resort could look
The mock prison included three 6’ x 9’ prison cells, each of which housed three prisoners and three cots. The other rooms were assigned to prison guards and the warden. One small space became the solitary confinement room, and another small space was designated as the prison yard. The participants were randomly assigned to either the prisoner or prison guard role.
In his work, “Introduction: Nanotechnology, Society, and Ethics”, CalPoly Associate Professor of Philosophy Patrick Lin writes, “Let’s take a step back and consider any given technology we have created: gunpowder, the printing press, the camera, the automobile, nuclear power, the computer, Prozac, Viagra, the mobile phone, the Internet. Undoubtedly, these have brought us much good, but each has also changed society in important, fundamental ways and caused new problems, such as increased pollution, urban sprawl, cyber-crimes, privacy concerns, intellectual property concerns, drug dependencies, new cases of sexually-transmitted diseases, other unintended health problems, mutually-assured destruction and much more. The point here is not that we would have been better off without these inventions. Rather, we should come to terms that our creations can have unintended or unforeseen consequences” (Lin, n.d., p. 1). Lin’s point goes across the board for all technologies, there will be unforeseen consequences, some will be good and some will certainly be perceived as bad.
As everyone always says, Disney World is the happiest place on earth, but for Iowans' we have Adventureland, where we are sure to have a fun filled day. To us Iowans', Disney World and Adventure are the two best theme parks we've ever known of! Both theme parks are full of happiness, good food and exciting rides, although Disney World and Adventureland have lots of differences and yet some similarities in hand. In this paper I am going to explain and list off the vast similarities and differences of Disney World and Adventureland!
From the rocky ridges and tumbling falls to the highest peak in Georgia, the Blue Ridge region is one of the greatest places to build a new theme park. Although many have their doubts about the Blue Ridge region, especially considering how it doesn’t have very many famous attractions, I assure you that the Blue Ridge is absolutely perfect. So, without further ado, I present to you some of the many reasons why the Blue Ridge should be highly regarded as a choice of location to build the new Georgia-themed amusement park.
There are many rhetorical tools used in advertising today to grab the readers’ attention. Some of those include, but are not limited to, color, sex, surroundings, and fantasy. All of these tools are used in the advertisement of the MGM Grand that I chose to analyze. MGM Grand has chosen several techniques to help market themselves better to vacationers. It uses visual pictures, inviting colors, and an enticing choice of narrative as its strategy. One of the many things that Vegas has to offer is the chance to get rid of all of your inhibitions and just have fun. Also, the fact that Las Vegas is famous for the saying, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, sends a message to vacationers
Parks Victoria did not dictate a rigid brief but instead asked Hansen Partnership to create a ‘unique experience’ for the visitors. (Ricardo, 2014)
However, there were many that were opposed to the plan. In general, foreign imports coming in such great quantities could undermine British industry. More specifically, the site itself was questioned. Though the park offered enough space, the British were very protective of their parks “The Parks committee thought that the fair would lower property values of the highest portion of town, as well as permanently “disfigure” the natural area”. be convinced that it's about a prison. The colors and lighting serve this hyper-realist atmosphere.
Technology, although innovating/revolutionizing the delivery of healthcare, is concerning both ethically and professionally. In medicine, respectful and productive inter-collaborative relationships, specifically amongst healthcare professionals, have always been important. Recently, technological advances have caused these relationships to change in both structure and function. Some proponents believe that the field is changing for the better, while others believe technology will bring ethical dilemmas/conflicts which may impede with the "best" delivery of healthcare. Personally, I believe that technology brings both benefits and drawbacks to these relationships but, inevitably, is, and increasingly will become, a common aspect of society.
The use of natural resources to attract tourists, if successful, leads to the obligation of an infrastructure upon ‘nature’. Over time, it is the manmade structures that maintain the desirability of the tourist resort, not the natural features that prompted the original.(Ryan, 1991) Thus by focusing too much on attracting tourists
1. Assess the decisions made by the hotel’s management in relation to the various offers received
Climate change is unarguably one of the most significant problems challenging our environment today. There is a sufficient amount of evidence expressing the concern that climate change is likely to negatively influence many aspects of life for people around the world. Human engineering, which is the biomedical modification of humans, can be used to help people ease and adapt to climate change; It is a possible solution to the ever growing environmental problem of global warming. However many people will concede that there are an abundance of possible ethical concerns regarding human engineering. The major implication is the concern regarding its safety for the children and society.
Correctional facilities can play a significant role in achieving a therapeutic mission – if the physical environment is designed with features that promote mental health, healing and recovery. These include an environment that provides ample natural light; views to the outside, calming and uplifting colors and materials; normative furnishings; clear sightlines for proactive supervision; good acoustical treatment, and an open, orderly sequence of spaces. The setting should be safe and comfortable, emphasizing personal empowerment and individual dignity.
During today’s quest, you will employ your performance character skills to survey a current application for digital technology and its social, moral, and ethical implications for teachers. You will begin in the Introduction Level where you will read an explanation of the technology application and how it relates to ethical concerns for teachers. You will proceed through two additional levels prior to reaching your ultimate destination, The Conclusion, where you will collect your experience points (xp). Collect four badges along the way to help you monitor your progress.
