Ethical Ten Commandments

There are many commandments in America. Most of them are very important in our society. Some are written rules, and some are unwritten. They go from not stealing to saying bless you. All Americans should follow these seven commandments to show that they have respect and manners.

The Ten Commandments address the most important aspects of life for a Christian, they instruct people not to murder, commit adultery, lie, and be honorable. They also instruct people most importantly to only worship one god, and that is God the Father. Christianity has deep roots in social justice, and Christians are directed to care for those that are poor, and those that are afflicted. They are also directed to care for those that have no support system, or are less fortunate than themselves. The model of behavior people are supposed to follow is that of Jesus, who reflected God’s sense of justice.

The Ten Commandments and the Native American code of ethics are very much alike. You can connect the commandment “I am the Lord Your God, You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve, with the native American ethic rise with the sun to pray, pray alone, pray often, the Great Spirit will listen if you only speak. You can also relate the commandments “you shall not covet your neighbors wife, you shall not covet your neighbors goods, and you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor with the Native American ethics “be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Government contracting is a lucrative industry, both large and small management and technology consulting firms along with defense, aerospace and other companies who bill themselves as "experts" in various different areas complete for billions of dollars in government contracts each year. The benefit of the federal government leveraging the skills and expertise is great; but there is also a downside. Ethical violations can and have occurred within the government contracting arena. Federal employees may be subjugated to a lot of different duties while employed. There are times where employees bring into question if the policies and practices that are being employed are really ethical. Unfortunately, there are certain circumstances that may prevent a person from questioning these policies and practices in fear of losing their job, or worse. One former federal employee stood up to question such policies for the wellbeing of the potentially innocent. The three code of ethics that I picked is occupational therapy, physical therapy and strength and conditioning. The reason why I picked these three career fields is because they are related to kinesiology. They are also interconnected in varies ways.

Araine 5 was a rocket designed by the European Space Agency. The rocket was set to launch on June 4, 1996 in Guyana. However, due to the carelessness of the designers, the rocket only lasted for thirty-seven seconds before it had to be destroyed. The cause of this malfunction was due to software errors that were not previously tested. A rocket requires the accuracy of a computer to generate calculations and corrections several times in a second.

It is one thing to establish a code of ethical conduct for an organization in the public sector, but it is quite another to really impress upon all employees the importance of living up to that code of conduct. What makes a code of conduct and how can management be assured that all employees understand the code and follow it's values and guidelines? When working in an organization, it is usually important to establish professional ethics while following consistent ethical principles. Professional ethics are personal and corporate standards of behavior that are set by businesses, associations, and organization. It creates an institution that reflects our own values and make us feel more confident about what is an acceptable behavior and what is not. This type of ethic could vary depending on the various types of situations, professions, and personal values. Many professionals that are trusted by the public like doctors, accountants, engineers and even an information technologist all have a Code of Ethics, which sets out expectations of the member’s behavior and how they operate internally and externally.
