Not only but also I have a famous person to tell you about so let me tell you. There was a woman named Eva Peron. She was born on May 7, 1919 and died on July 26, 1952. She was 33 years old when she died. What she is famous for is fighting for the woman suffrage. She fought really hard and since she had a high position she was heard. She fought because it wasn’t fair that they had barely any freedom as women had to play housewives. They did not have the same rights as men. They had to always have skirts or dresses on that isn’t fair. Women were controlled on how to act, what to wear, and how to behave in public. Finally here is why you should go to Argentina. In Argentina there are beautiful lands like Moreno Glaciers, Lake Argentino and,
Did you know that women in the United States did not have the right to vote until the year 1920? Exactly 144 years after the United States was granted freedom from Great Britain. The women’s suffrage movement, however, did not actually start until 1848, and lasted up until they were granted the right to vote in 1920. Women all over the country were fighting for their right to vote in hopes of bettering their lives. The women’s suffrage movement was a long fought process by many people all over the world, over all different races, religions, even gender. (Cooney 1)
In America the citizens defended women's rights. For example in 1820 on February 15, Susan B. Anthony was born. In 1852, she dedicated her life to women's suffrage and led the women's right movement. While she was fighting for women's rights she ignored all of the opposition and the abuse she was getting because she was standing up for what's right. She also campaigned for the abomination of slavery. In 1900 she finally persuaded the university of rochester to admit women. “I declare to you that women must not depend upon the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself and there i take my stand.” - Susan B. Anthony. She died in 1906 on March 13. On September 4, 1981. Also Beyonce Giselle Knowles-carter also known as Beyonce became
Despite the years of oppression, women have overcome sexism and have made a difference. Since the late 18th century, around The French Revolution, women have been fighting for equality, freedom, and rights. These women became known as feminist. Feminists have been fighting for years, and to this day, for equal rights, and they have won many battles. Here are some examples in recent history of how women succeeded: from 1916-1920, women started Women’s suffrage. The 19th Amendment passed allowing women the rights
During the late 19th century, women were in a society where man was dominant. Women not having natural born rights, such as the right to vote, to speak in public, access to equal education, and so forth, did not stop them to fight for their rights. Women's lives soon changed when Lucy Stone, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Susan B. Anthony played a prominent role to help bring about change.
Not many are strong enough to speak out. People like us usually aren't brave enough to argue towards something, even though they strongly believe in it. Despite that, there is a woman, a fearless speaker, who spoke up until her death to make the world a better place. Born on June 27th, 1869, Emma Goldman is the leading figure of American feminism and an influential anarchist in history. From a young age, she experienced poverty or noticed much violence towards women. This led to her standing out as an anarchist she is known today. All her life was about conflicting with poverty, freedom of speech, birth control, violence, women's rights, and government's military preparations. She dedicated her life towards opposing and never gave up even
For many years, women have not experienced the same freedoms as men. Being a woman, I am extremely grateful to those women who, many years ago, fought against social standards that were so constricting to women. Today, women can vote, own property instead of being property, live anywhere and have any career which she may choose.
Before 1880, women did not have as many rights as they do today in the United States of America. Women were not able to initiate divorce; they did not have custody over their children; they were not entitled to their own wages; they could not vote; etcetera. This movement was necessary to create a more just and fair society for Americans because women deserved to be treated as well as men were. These things were changed as a result of many suffragists who fought for women’s rights for years. Three women who devoted their lives to gaining equal rights for women were Susan B. Anthony, Lucy Stone, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Without these women among others, women in America would not be treated as they are today.
Women’s Rights was and still is a major issue throughout the entire world, but more specifically, in the United States of America. Women have been treated unjustly for awhile. From being beaten by their husbands, to not being able to own property if they were married, women have been through it all. Many of these situations started to change because of a group of women that decided to stand up for what they believe in. A few activists that helped improve the rights of women are Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Lucretia Mott.
Susan once said it was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the union. (Anthony 42).Although we as women have equal right to vote now and it don't feel like a big issues but it was at one time. That period of time was in the late 1800's. Not only were women not allow to vote in the United States, but they could even be fined and arrested for their offense. Susan be Anthony was one of many women who was a campaigner for women rights. Also Elizabeth Caddy Stanton along with Susan be Anthony devoted their life to achieving a goal for women to vote.
As long as we can remember women have remained overlooked , but that was until one woman stood up to all stereotypes and brought the beginning of a change. Susan B. Anthony was a women’s rights activist who ignited the fire that led to the right for women’s suffrage. Before the 1920’s women
In 1923, I married one of the Suffragettes working with Emmeline, and I asked her to tell me all about their efforts to give women voting rights. Because of what she told me, I was able to increase my efforts to grant women voting equality with men in
If it wasn’t for the brave women who fought for our rights in history, we wouldn’t have the freedom we have today. In history women couldn’t vote, women would also get less wage than men, women couldn’t do anything without permission from their husband. In 1920 american women fought for their right to vote. It took over 100 years for women to win the right to vote. Until August 26 1920 the 19th amendment to the constitution was finally signed were women had all the same rights as men. Women were finally heard and still continue to fight to be heard today. On January 21, 2017 there was a Women’s March around the world. Women stand together for their rights, safety, health, and families.
Since the beginning of time, women have been fighting politically to have the same privileges as men. In 1917, Lucy Burns and others became the first to ever picketed the White House, and their claimed

Argentina is a stunning country and it is one that should sit high on anyone's bucket list. There's a challenge, though, when planning a trip because the country is so massive it's difficult to know where to start or end up. It's difficult to narrow the tourist attractions down to just 5 because there are so many, but we dedicated ourselves to choosing the absolute best and here's what we came up with.
