Professional Preparation
We are all so happy you are back at Irwin Preschool, you have been back to work for 10 weeks after a 6-month medical leave. You continue to be extremely dependable and punctual. You come to work early each morning and prepare the classroom for your students. Together you plan with your co-teacher and you are working to manage your time and balance your duties to meet the job expectations. If you are unable to finish work at school, you continue to take it home to complete.
Linda, remember the base layer needs to stay in each center. Base layer materials can switch out from time to time. When setting up the theme materials be sure there is a place for everything so children know expectation for cleanup time. You changed your

Making everyone feel happy and comfortable is key to good communication. Relationships should always be held at a professional level between yourself and the children, staff or parents. By doing this there will be a certain way of communicating with each individual.

One easy way to provide feedback and information to parents is to make an online newsletter. My teacher updates her newsletter about once every two weeks and then sends an email to the parents to let them know. The newsletter is on the schools main page, but the bi-weekly reminder is how she communicates the information with parents. In my teachers newsletter she includes a calendar for the month, important school events, like the Thanksgiving Feast. My teacher also includes what the students are learning in class and ways that the parents could help them at home, such as read aloud time, and finding vocabulary words together. The newsletter also has information
Communicating effectively within the school setting is very important to enable strong relationship to build between colleagues, children and parents.
Communication between teachers and the parents of students is essential for the growth and success of the student both inside and outside of the classroom. This communication is best achieved through parent conference opportunities. One way that this is achieved is through regular open house nights. This is where parents, and other members of the community, are invited to come to the school and talk to the teachers and other faculty at the school. Another conference opportunity presents itself in a scheduled appointment between the teacher and the parent. This will enable the parent to meet face-to-face with their child’s teacher during a time that is more convenient to them, as these appointments can occur before, during, and after school. Additionally, conferences can take place over the phone. This is a convenient way for both parties to communicate effectively in a way that works best for them.
I continued teaching for two more years until my daughter was born. During that time, I was voted for three years in a row as "Students ' favorite teacher." However, I grudgingly left teaching to be able financially to support my growing family. I started an environmental consulting business with my wife who is a biochemical engineer and was working as an environmental consultant for a firm in Orange County. For the next eighteen years, I developed and managed a successful company called Ecotek. Though, teaching was always on my mind and the part that I enjoyed the most about Ecotek was the environmental training and the presentations that I did for my clients. My three children are in college now, but four years ago I started hearing that inner voice telling me to follow my bliss. I knew that I wanted to go back to teaching, so I took several assignments as a substitute teacher to see if I have what it takes to be a good teacher. I found out quickly that I want to teach and that I enjoy it, school administrators offered me several long term substitute positions and soon enough, within a year, I left the business to my wife and started teaching biology full time at Lynwood Unified School District. It has been four happy years since I returned to the teaching profession. As a biology teacher at Firebaugh High School, I feel that
Answer: Effective communication is very important in relationship building with children, young people and adults.
Effective communications is important in developing positive relationships because as a teacher`s assistant it develops trust between you and them communication is verbal, body language and eye contact and it is a two way process in how we listen and respond, identify and understand and be able to respond to it through communication appropriately to their ages needs and abilities. By providing some insight into the daily teaching methods, teachers are using newsletters to invite parents into the classroom. Equipping parents with the information they require to deepen their knowledge and assist in making them feel confident in their involvement.

According Charlotte Danielson's Framework for teaching in domain four it touched on professional responsibilities. As a teacher you should be reflecting on teaching, maintaining accurate records, communicating with families, participating in a professional community, growing and developing professionally and showing professionalism. In the video both teachers showed professionalism in how they conducted with one another and how they conducted with the students. In addition they did reflect on teaching and how they could make this an effective lesson for the students. Furthermore aside from the typical professional behavior they also were aware of the learning process of their students. An example of this was when they divided the students
As mentioned prior, students in middle school are going through significant changes. This means that there must be a clear path of communication between the parents/guardians and the educator. Parent-teacher conferences are a great way for parents to be involved in the learning environment. Through these conferences, parents can learn how their adolescent is performing in class. These conferences not only address academic progress, but also behavioral needs. It is common for students to act up for attention or to look cool in the middle grades. With parent-teacher conferences, the parent(s) can be made aware of any negative behaviors that need to be addressed. Another approach is a school newsletter, which I personally really like. Within the newsletter can be important upcoming dates, shout-outs, and relevant information. I really enjoy the idea of newsletters being sent home versus emailed. This is because I have students who do not have internet access at home. It is not fair for those students and parents to miss out if they do not have internet access. The communication line between parents/guardians and the educator is critical in the middle level. It is crucial for me to fulfill my role as an educator and communicating with the families. If I push this topic to the side, it is my student who suffers. It is not fair to my student to suffer if I do not perform my job the proper way.
