Overcoming Obstacles Everybody has their own past and gone through their own personal obstacles. Some choose to live or not live again. I chose to live again and not let a jerk or alleged “step dad” ruin my life. He ruined my life by taking my mom away, screaming, and traumatizing my life by physically and mentally hurting me. He was someone I thought I could trust, but he easily broke that six years ago. He came into my world when I was around eight years old, started forming the trust, “loving” my mom, but slowly started demolishing the “trust” by breaking us down one by one. At first I thought he was an incredible man who cared about me and his other kids, but I was proved wrong. My life was flipped upside down in fifth grade. You see,
I don’t know how to start this, but I believe that everyone in life at least goes through one sort of form of an obstacle. An obstacle I face in life right now would have to be the fact that my grandma is working her butt off just so she can keep her family alive. The only reason why this bothers me is because I can’t do anything about it. Like I want to help by working, but I’m only 14 and still have two more years until I can get a part time job. Since, I’ve been a little kid, I always admired my grandma. She was my role model. She taught me that in life nothing is easy and that you have to work very hard for the things you want in life. She left her family just so my mom and I would have a better life than she did. I know this is how
The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
Have you ever been scared to accomplish a challenge? I'm going to be talking about the time when I accomplished one of the challenges that I have always wanted to learn how to do. Some people that were involved or a whiteness of my accomplishment was my sister named Malina and my little cousin named Mazzy .
Starting my second semester in Modern I, I was really excited to see what new things I would learn and what new goals I needed to set for myself. I was definitely ready to push myself and work even harder than the semester before. During my second semester I set only two new goals and kept one from first semester. The two goals that I set included, getting stronger in my inversions and watching the alignment of my hip. The goal that I kept from last semester was making sure that I was coming to class alert and ready to work. After second semester mid-term, I started to work a lot on building strength in my arms. During class, Professor Hapke would always come over to me and fix my arms while I was in downward dog. To make sure I was gliding
To me "success" is when a person overcomes obstacles, in order to achieve their goals, no matter how big or small. Everyone in life has a goal, whether it's to have a great occupation, or to get over a phobia. Once a goal is set, people come up with their own plan in order to complete their goal, where they will reach success. Sometimes people will often give up their on goal during the process of achieving it, due to the overwhelming difficulty of their personal obstacles. With motivation, support, and strength, there's no obstacle that people cannot overcome, these are the three elements to success.
THE well one more obstacle i became over was to become good at wrestling and i actually started practicing and my coach believe me and one my last tournament i got second place in my tournament and they were all proud of me How i overcame my obstacles was i just kept doing what i needed to do to become successful and i didn't do it by myself i had many people to help me friends family and sometimes people that i don't know and i just never stopped when i was tired or was done with it but people showed me that never give up on your dreams and i just thought of what the prize at the end of the road would give me and it gave me stuff that will help me in life Well one obstacle was that i had to bring up some of my grades and if any of my friends
August 27th, Sometimes you just to need to know the facts, and at other times, you will need to put on your best act.
Prompt #2: Describe an obstacle that you’ve experienced. What does your experience show about your character?
Overcoming anything can seem out of one’s reach. I have faced many obstacles in my life. The challenge I would like to share is obtaining a college education while having a family. Being a strong willed person has helped me to make a way for school. It became an obstacle when, I graduate high school. I had been put on homebound due to; I had my first child just months before I graduated.
In my life I have faced many obstacles. There has been times when I was unsure about how I was going to handle a situation and how I was going to move on from it. Although some obstacles may be abominable, I am a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason". If God brings you to it, he will help you get through it.
As humans, we face various obstacles on a daily basis. Most of the time, they are relatively insignificant due to the frequency and value they have in our lives. However, all of us have and will continue to deal with significant obstacles that will greatly challenge us. I have discovered that having a supportive family, setting goals, and determination has helped me effectively overcome obstacles.
Prior start to exercise, yoga, meditation or eating healthy and clean, I thought about the barriers and challenges that may limit my ability to initiate these actions. In addition, it is important to know the challenges and barriers because it will enable me to understand how I am going to achieve my goal and work hard for it. One of the challenge is to find the time and effort to initiate the action. Physical activity and yoga exercise for instance, for me I enjoy working in group, but I did not have the resources or time to join the gym (no transportation, course-work load, and working on my research). Thus, I decided to sign up for an online personal trainer and the trainer assisted me to incorporate physical activity, meditation and yoga
We all face obstacles in our lives. Sometimes the obstacles are physical and we must determine a path in which to best navigate past them. Occasionally, they are less visible, but no less real. From childhood we learn how to overcome obstacles, but as we age the obstacles become seemingly more difficult to navigate. How we choose to overcome our obstacles is dependent upon how we have found success in overcoming them throughout our lives. Resiliency is an enabling attitude which allows us to overcome those obstacles (Harrington, 2012).
I felt very bad for my dad, but now he’s just annoying, and pitiful. He really needs to get a life again, and get back out there, instead of depending on me to be there for him. This has changed me for the better I think, because I see my dad and don’t ever want to end up like him, depending on others to make him feel validated, drinking a lot, hanging out with people that are younger than him, it’s just pitiful and depressing to be around
“The smile on my face doesn't mean my life is perfect, it just means I appreciate what I have and what God has blessed me with” The unknown person once said. That quote really ties into the character named Quarta from the book named “The Girl Born Who Was Born With Only 2 Arms And 2 legs,” because Quarta has only two arms and two legs which is different. People need to give her another chance and stop underestimating her.
