Explain some cases in which you would perm-ban/temp-ban people:
-----Advertising-----
Definition: If someone is posting an Ip such as "Play.opcraft.net" But a different Ip would be advertising.
Punishment: Perm ban.
What I would do as a helper: As a helper I would /mute the player, screenshot it then /cc (If i had perms)
Commands: /tempmute /cc or /ban /cc
------Hacking-----
Definition: Hacking is where you are using either Illegal Modifications to your client or an actual Hacked Client
Punishment: /ban if theres enough proof, But the proof will be holding for 48 hours for staff to review it.
What I would do as a helper: I would record with action and upload then make a ban report.
Commands: /tempban (Player) (time) (reason)
-----Spaming----
…show more content…
Punishment: /warn 2nd offence /tempmute 5min
What I would do as a helper: I would /warn them, if the player continues I would /tempmute them for 5 minutes
Commands: /Warn , /Tempmute
------Suspicious links------
Definition: Suspicious Links in chat are not allowed, Most of the time they are IP-Loggers or something that could potentially be a virus. No links in chat other than www.opcraft.net
Punishment: Perm mute
What I would do as a helper: I would /mute player
Commands: /mute
------ Chat flooding------
Definition: if someone is trying to flood chat by doing 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 7 8 that is classed as chat
Hacked Client: If Someone is hacking/ Useing a Blacklisten Mod and u ar Caught with it u wil be Temperarly banned for Hacked client Holding bane with ./Tempban [IGN][Time][Reason] and then we wil have a debate if the votes ar a in it wil be a unban or a Perm Ban from the server
Also in other server i i checked out people don't ban\mute there friend if there braking a rule, so I'm not doe's people even if there my friend i'll still ban\mute then for the better of the server. Also i'm not gonna give a none staff member Opped, and if they keep spamming me then it will be a
Spamming chat is when someone is rapidly and repeatedly typing the same thing a bunch of times and posting it in chat. When they get to the point where they are displaying the same exact message or a message quite like their last 3 or more times in 10-15 seconds, then it is considered spamming chat. In this situation, a Helper has all the commands to punish the player fully. When I first see that they meet the standards of 3 times per 15 seconds, then I would run the command: “/warn (IGN) Chat Spam”. After the player receives their warn, if the blatantly ignore it, and they continue to send similar messages 3 times per 15 seconds, then I will temporarily mute the player for 5 to 15 minutes, depending on what they are spamming and how fast they are spamming by running the command: “/mute (IGN) 5m(-15m) Chat Spam”.
if this player does not listen I would mute this player for 5m (/mute name 5m spamming 2nd offence) this could go up to 15m depending on how many lines you spam or depending on the situation.
If this happened I would first warn the player to slow down with their messages and, if the player continued to spam I would mute them for 5 minutes and if they continue 10 then 15 and if they continue after that I would report it to a Manager+. With suspicious links, I would first check the link seeing where it leads and how it acts when I clicked in then if I saw the link to be a problem I would report it to a higher staff that could deal with the issue. The same for inappropriate links I would report them to higher staff to deal with the player how they see fit. For staff disrespect, I would first warn the player in question to stop being disrespectful and if they continue being rude or disrespectful I would mute them for 5 minutes then 10 and finally 15 and if they continue, report them to the higher staff that can deal with them accordingly. Leaking staff's information is taken seriously by me and having being ddosed and doxed many times I know how important privacy is and anyone who leaks information will be reported with, screenshots, to a Manager or high staff that can ban the player from the server. Hackers will be temp-banned (with video) for 48 hours until a higher staff can look closer at the situation and make a decision if they need to ban the player. Advertising is sad, but common occurrence on
If staff impersonation happens i would give the player a tempmute for 15 minutes no warnings. Impersonating staff is completely unacceptable what so ever.
Advertising is when a player on the server says something in the chat like "GO JOIN MY SERVER @ (Their server)". What a helper would do is take a screenshot of the player's name, mute the player, then send the screenshot to a staff that could ban the player. My view on advertisers is that I look at them like they are a big wanna be. People who advertise usually advertise their own servers trying to get the OPCraft community to join their shitty server. I think that if you want people to join a server you should buy an advertisement on the Minecraft Servers webpage so people will join their server. It will
For a player that has been reported once or twice, I would inspect the player and keep an eye on them. If in the case of several reports, I would freeze them, request for the
Impersonating Staff- If a person is impersonating a staff I will then /tempmute (player) 15m Impersonating Staff. IF it continues I will /tempmute (player) 15mins and if continues after mute I will /ban (player) Staff impersonation
Using any sort of hacked client/blacked client is strictly not allowed if i caught a player using it I would instantly get proof of the hacker and alert a higher member of staff and give the evidence so they can perm ban them, if a higher staff cannot tp i would tempban them in a 48 hour ban and a higher member of staff can decide if it should be permanent or not when notified about the ban.
Fair punishment: As a helper I would mute them then post a screenshot in support chat for a Moderator+ to ban them. If I was a mod I would permanently ban them and take a screenshot.
Spamming Chat/Chat flood: Spamming/Chat flood is when some uses a sentence more than once in a matter of seconds.
Sadly, I am a staff that has been lied to. So when I notice a player lying to staff or myself (if I become staff) I would simply screenshot it, and temp ban that player for one hour. Why one hour? Well, with my past experience I realize players can and will find ways to bypass a mute, by spamming there faction name (renaming it/disband and re-making a faction). Instead of just waiting for a player to bypass the mute, I simply go to a ban. Obviously this could be changed if needed, but I do feel this is a good amount of time banned for a player who lies to
Hacking: If a player is hacking I would turn my recorder on right away get the proof I need that is enough to confirm the player is hacking then I would temp ban the hacker for 48 hours and inform a higher staff member.
/\- Mute Evasion: This is when a player finds a way to chat to others while muted. The most common way people do this is by putting items into the auction that are named something that relates to talking to someone else such as putting up bedrock in the auction that is named "Join my faction ". This results in the manager temp-banning the player for 15 minutes. I would not be able to do this as a helper, as I am not allowed.
