Rosa Parks once said, “Each person must live their life as a model for others.” (BrainyQuote) In the world, mothers, fathers, grandparents, sisters, and brothers, are all models for each other. Children look up to their parents and follow in their footsteps. After birth, we grow up around one main race, and that race becomes ”normal” as we get older. America is being colored with a variety of colors of races as time goes on. In the time when Martin Luther King Jr. was fighting for the rights of the black citizen, whites were portrayed superior to any other race, especially blacks. As the face of America is changing, this superiority of whites isn't so strong as it was before and races are being able to be looked at as a whole and not different social classes as they were in the past. As the years are changing and the race demographics is changing, we find ourselves more accepting each other, we realize the change is rapid, and we wonder why.
Over the generations, what people think being an American means has changed. The change for some people was nothing, but for others it could have been drastic. The things we do has definitely changed, like outside doing activities to playing games or on your phone constantly. The question here, is “How have generations changed what it means to be American?”, also “Do Americans from different time periods see American Identity differently?”. Overall, through the generations the thought of American Identity has changed and stayed the same in different ways.
It is delicate to discuss family issues with an unknown person but a necessity to sort out things in an amicable way. The world has changed a lot throughout the decades. From Jukeboxes to iPods, books to television, mail to text messages and so on. Even the music has changed. When you hear a song, you could almost tell what year it was made in. For example, if someone were to play a Michael Jackson to Prince song, may they rest in piece, you could ask someone "was this made in the 70's or 80's" just simply by how it sounds. It shows you how much the music has changed throughout the years. Not only have we changed technologically and musically, but socially as well. Our style, fashion, and the things we say certainly aren't similar to the style of the 70's. All of these prove that society has changed throughout the years. Although

A big cultural trend in America would definitely be technology. To me, this is definitely a trend because it has had such a big effect on so many American citizens and on America itself. You hear about iPhones and touch screen computers on television all the time. They're used in movies and television shows a lot, also. Heck, technology is what is used to record those movies and television shows. It has shaped America very differently today. You didn't see people with iPhones back then, or even today in many countries, technology still hasn't taken such a toll like it has done in America. Everywhere you look these days, people are buried in their phones, busy on the computer, or watching their favorite television shows all night. They're capable
Trends define the popular culture of the American society. From the Roaring Twenties of the 1920s to the Flower Power of the 1960s to Material Girls of the 1980s, the trends that define Generation Z are nonetheless different. Presently, Generation Z immerses themselves in the most popular trend of bodybuilding. It has been under the surface for a while, but recently spread through a forest like wildfire. In like manner, images of the professional bodybuilders surface the internet, and as teenagers look up to these figures, pictures of teenagers to men flood social media. From firsthand experience, individuals dedicate time, money, and effort to reaching a perfect body. It is a booming business. Society has social media to thank for the dilemma
In fact, the fate of the child after a divorce, and not 'how much child support will I have to pay' should be the prime concern of parents going different ways. Family lawyers can appropriately guide couples on how to prevent the child from feeling lonely after the separation. They also play a crucial role in determining child custody. The court, by itself, cannot decide which of the two parents is better suited to win the custody of the child. A family lawyer however, with his/her insight and argument, can enlighten the court on this matter. They can present the right information, such as the child's affinity and expenses, as well as the history of violence of either parent to lead the court in the right direction.
Within today’s society, people are constantly open to new technological and intellectual improvements, but when it comes to any disruptive alteration in the life that American citizens know, love, and are accustomed to, no measures can be taken in order to implement new innovations, even if it were for the welfare of the people themselves. The majority of the society today is resistant to great shifts in the American culture that would possibly cause some differentiation to their life that is currently flourishing, including shifts towards the acceptance of same-sex marriage, the widespread dissolution of extremely unhealthy fast food chains, and surprisingly, the elimination of racial, gender, and religious
Cultural trends are significant since they relate to the values practice within a society. Nonetheless, we live in a much more connected work, via social media, such as Facebook, Twitter etc. Moreover, we live in a multiplex work.
Impartial third party: Any divorce attorney that you hire should obviously be on your side. However, another of their functions is to help you decide if something is really worth fighting over. In the heat of the moment, it can be easy to get worked up and demand that you get to keep the decade-old couch that you and your soon to be ex-spouse purchased together. Meanwhile, you may also overlook something more important, such as child custody. A good lawyer will help you to focus on what's really important, helping to ensure that you don't get mired down in relative trivialities.
Technology has developed rapidly in today’s generation. Physical engagement lessens as technology progresses. The internet has become one powerful resource in today’s generation. Although, the internet is a helpful resource we must also take into consideration that not everything that is posted on the internet is true. Many websites may post, and may state some important information that may be intriguing which can be mistaken to be reliable. However, we must acknowledge if the website is a reliable source by viewing its content. Recently in a community college in Oregon a shooting took into place, and this is not the first time a mass shooting that has occurred. After the mass shooting the President instantly responds to come out to speak to the American people. As I further wanted to investigate on Obamas gun control speech I research the topic, and approach a site “The ONION America’s Finest News Source” they give a recap on Obamas speech, and they had no cites to their sources, no author is given, they have no proof of evidence. I immediately evaluated this site to be unreliable. When researching on the internet ask yourself if the website is stating true facts if so do they cite their sources. Secondly, does the website introduce who they are? Do they have the credibility to write about the certain topic? Lastly, take into consideration if they post logical evidence.
On Halloween, I decided to replicate the style and overall persona of 90’s R & B star Aaliyah. I wore baggy male pants, crop top, Timberland boots, and a large overcoat. Even though my prissy and consecutive mother was not very fond of my costume selection, I wore best Halloween costume at the neighborhood party. I was not judge or criticized for being in what was established as male clothing because it is the social norm for my generation and the generation before me. However, if I was edgy Aaliyah for Halloween in prior decades, I would have been seen as a social abomination because women and men did not wear each other’s clothing. Gender roles has always been expressed through fashion and as gender roles continue to progress so does the dance costuming. After analyzing the Waltz, Salsa, and, Hip Hop dance cultures, I have noticed that the female costuming traditionally represented women being submissive and socially inferior to men; however, as dance began to evolve and social revolutions began to take place, costuming showcased the movement towards gender equality.
