Have you ever asked yourself why we have not always believed words? Words are over used and can understand them in many different ways. A person can say something, mean it one way, but the person who heard it understands it in a different way. We can change words as quickly as the thought. Actions are harder to have multiple meanings. Basically the phrase “Actions speak louder than words” means, what you do is more important than what you say. From experience, this statement is true. Words are just a group of letters that makes phrases or statements. Those phrases and statements cannot truly show emotions or feelings. Just because a person says it, does not signify that they mean the words they speak. Anyone can apologize, but then
The phrase words hold more power than weapons simply means words that you say can hurt people more than weapons. The main reason I would say words hurt more than weapons because things you say can break you down and hurt more than an actual weapon can. So what I’m going to talk about is why words do the things it does worse than weapons do.
It’s happened to us all, we have said something that didn’t come out right. When, this happens the words that spill out do not represent your message. Instead the person or people the words are directed to may be offended or worse. This is an example where I was placed in this exact position.
Are actions more powerful than words? With popular social media sites, statements from well known figures can be seen by millions in a matter of mere seconds. Often times popular athletes, celebrities, or even normal people will make claims they do not fulfill, or have tremendous success through their actions without uttering a word beforehand.
For instance, some actions show more promise than words. In the show The Originals Season 2 Episode 22 Niklaus told his brother Elijah that if he crossed him again he promised him he would dagger him. although Elijah did not believe the words of his brother Niklaus he was soon proven wrong. Throughout the whole Niklaus did dagger Elijah and told him " Never doubt my actions and promises that they mean more than my own words brother."
Sometimes, words will not justify in conflicts. In conflicts, words might not get people's point cross. Word are twigs, they will not do any good. If a person is explaining something and the other person is not listening, a slap might
Actions speak louder than words because no matter how much you tell someone something with your words they’ll never really believe you until some action is taken.
Each person has their own beliefs. They all have emotion and they have their own approach on things. People see things each day that changes their opinions on something. Imagine having your own opinion about something, only to have somebody come and tell you that your opinion is wrong. They say things that make you question why you had that opinion in the first place. Imagine going about your everyday life, until somebody tells you a story that is filled with emotion. How would you react? Words have extreme power as long as somebody knows how to use them. The fictional novel, Animal Farm by George Orwell helped show how powerful words can be used. The words in the book were powerful because of emotion, the pigs using fear to keep the
The book “Murder on the Orient Express” shows a great amount of irony, when it comes to actions speak louder than words. Murdering someone, which is an action, has a much different affect than words. Daisy Armstrong is a little baby girl that is kidnapped and murdered by Mr. Ratchett. Mr. Ratchett is also murdered later on in the book by several people. Every person has their own individual reason for not liking Mr. Ratchett and participating in the murder. Two people that strongly disliked Mr. Ratchett, causing their actions to speak louder than words, are Mrs. Hubbard Mary Debenham.
My first reason for why I think that actions can do more than words is because actions can offer you more information about a person than somebody else’s words. In a book called, “To Kill a Mockingbird” a kid named Scout Finch hears rumors about a man named Boo Radley that say that he’s a crazy person who stabbed his father and fed on small animals like squirrels or cats , but if she actually sees him face to face his actions would most likely
Some often say that words will very well speak louder than actions can. This is so because many believe that every action is not able to be performed at any given moment in time. Seeing how this may be, words cannot be the only source of evidence because not everyone will say the truth of the problem. Some things words cannot do is prove a strong belief true, show an example of a point and cannot better portray the transition of an action because it will not prove the difference.
Can actions speak louder than words? A common question asked by many people and there are many answers to support this. Back during the civil rights movement Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for every black person to be equal.
Actions can be more powerful than words because most of the time people will just tell you what you want to hear and they make promises to satisfy you.
The actions that people do speak louder than the words they say. The aphorism “actions speak louder than words” can be traced back all the way to Gersham Bulkeley’s book titled Will and Doom, which he wrote in 1692. A person could say all they want about how they are going to do something, but they may never fulfill their words. The actions a person does are much more important than just talking the talk.
Someone once said, “Words only hurt when you allow yourself to believe them.” I let myself believe they were right. This gave me the initiative to change what people thought of me. I took it upon myself to change me, only because of the insecurity I had felt from the power of just one spoken word. I held the decision within me to either let the word control me or disregard any suspicion that it meant anything. I had chosen to believe what others thought of me, and let the
Personally, I suppose that actions speak louder than words due to experiences in my life. In particular, one day I was in a soccer game, and I was the goalkeeper. Meanwhile, the game proceeded and then there was a free kick; the opponent was approaching the ball to shoot it at me, but he stared at me like a raging lion, and he ripped through the ball with all his force, and the ball came at me going at one hundred miles per hour. I tried to stop it, but the ball kinked my wrist backward like a cobra’s body when
