That statistic should really be taken into consideration when determining whether or not college is "worth it" or not. My Dad didn't go to college. He worked long hard hours at southwire and traveling. As I was growing up he told me to keep working harder, and not to give up in life and just work for things. He wants me to go to college or the Air Force that way. I have a better job and I don't want to start my life off struggling. Instead of struggling he wants me doing good. College is not worth the cost, because some people can not afford it. With college being expensive a lot of college kids having to work and study and go to class some kids just can't handle it.

Despite of whether going to college is worth it or not, recent college graduates have become more successful in their lives. Some people may think that attending college is a waste of time and money, while others feel that college gives them valuable skills in the real world. College will help the person gain the necessary work skills for his or her future job career. Moreover, the job that a person gets after college can outweigh the money and time the person spent in college. College graduates will be more favorable to have a better job than those who does not have a college degree. As our generation is rapidly changing, the work- force is getting tougher which means having a higher education is important in today’s world. Having a college degree is an obvious part of the candidate and is expected by the many employers. Nonetheless, going to college can also give students the opportunity network and develop personal connections among other students who are also interested in the career field.

Climate change is the unusual change in the average temperature of the earth. This unusual change is primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels, oil and coal. Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases act like bricks in a fireplace. They radiate heat in all directions long after the fire goes out. Because of the large amounts of fossil fuels burned each year, there is too much heat radiation. For that reason, the earth’s temperature has risen and will continue to rise, which has a negative impact on ecosystems.

There are endless job opportunities for individuals with all varieties of experience and education levels. Jobs that require a college education are generally different than jobs that require a trade or skill. A study conducted by the Georgetown Center on Education and Workforce expressed that “during the next decade, the overwhelming majority of jobs will require some college training and that a high school diploma alone will be a ticket to a life of poverty” (Wallace). Receiving a college education opens up the doors to more opportunities for a person in their future and to allow them to earn enough money to obtain a desired lifestyle. In general, a college education will lead to a higher pay with less manual labor and danger than an individual that attended a trade school.

Once again the question stands, is college worth it? There have been many successful individuals that did not attend college, or that did not receive a college degree. Ted Turner, Ralph Lauren, Mark Zuckerberg, and Michael Dell are all examples of people who did not receive a college degree, but are worth billions. Among many others, Steve Jobs is one of my favorites to research and talk about. He did not have it easy in any way, yet he overcame many obstacles and became a very successful and well-known individual.

The reward of college is great but is it worth all of the effort put into it? Taxation can be traced back to the colonists, when they were severely taxed by Great Britain on multiple items from tea to business documents that were mandatory to be stamped by the Stamp Act. Throughout the history of the United States, the tax system has evolved dramatically. Initially tariffs, or taxes, provided the primary source of revenue for the government. Consumption and Income taxes were announced years apart from each other. Consumption taxing was first developed in 1974 by William Andrews. While Income taxing was first developed in 1894 and was passed by the Wilson-Gorman tariff. Both taxes were made for completely opposite reasons. Income taxes were originally made to help pay for any revenue that would be lost by tariff reductions.

The demand for higher education is ever increasing as competition in the job market also increases. The rate of employment of college-educated is twice that of the national average compared to high school graduates. Employee counterparts who have college degrees receive better pays than their counterparts with no degree. They are also known to retain their works for longer and have a better perspective of the revolving issues.
