Explain Why I Like Call Of The Wild

“Call of the wild” is the worst book I ever read in my life. It is hard to understand, especially when the people talk. Also I didnt know alot of words mean. My favorite chapter was chapter six. The worst chapter was chapter seven.

The book and the movie of The Call of the Wild are both similar yet different. Like any movie based on a book, the movie of The Call of the Wild presents different characters and events than the book so it can be unique and enjoyable. In this essay, I’ll like to compare and contrast the book and the movie.

The Call of the Wild, on the surface, is a story about Buck, a four- year old dog that is part Shepherd and part St. Bernard. More importantly, it is a naturalistic tale about the survival of the fittest in nature. Throughout the novel, Buck proves that he is fit and can endure the law of the club, the law of the fang, and the laws of nature.

There are a few reasons why I recommend reading the classic, “The Call Of The Wild” by Jack London. There are very exhilarating action scenes throughout the book. The suspense is well placed and makes you wanting more and more. The story is told through the eyes of a dog, which gives an intriguing perspective to the storyline. These reasons and a few others give this book a lively feel.

This year’s summer reading options were marvelous. It was a hard choice to choose what book to read, but in the end, I chose The Call of the Wild by Jack London. My favorite books when I was younger was the Piggy and Gerald series and the Fancy Nancy books. I liked the Nancy Nancy books because I loved sparkles and pink, and glitter. I also liked the Piggy and Gerald because the books included animals and I loved animals. One memory I remember is I used to come home from school with books I had to read for homework. Sometimes my teacher would let us pick the books we wanted to read at home, because I loved the Piggy and Gerald and Fancy Nancy books I would always pick them. I would read those books in my room on a mini flower printed couch. I would let my dog jump up on the couch with me. I would get a lot of blankets and stuffed animals and made a fort. The will and perseverance of a person can get the through the hardest and most difficult of times. The Call of the Wild is an adventure fiction novel by Jack London. The novel gives and insight into human nature. Set during the Yukon gold rush the Call of the wild tells the story of Buck. Buck ,a dog from Southern California, who is kidnaped and sold on the blackmarket to a sled team in Alaska. Perseverance play a big part in buck’s journey throughout the novel.

This story was my favorite because, it was a little scary at times and my favorite type of books to read are horror books. I also liked this book because it had a lot of those moments where you can’t put the book down, it is to good to not read.

What is the same and what is different about the “Call of the Wild” movie and book? Well for starters I didn’t see that much of the movie. I shall try my best though.

London followed the same theme, among others, in many of his works, focusing on how the environment affects its inhabitants and the details of the environment itself. The descriptions of nature London took the time to include in his books and the way they affect the story is what makes his works truly remarkable. He strongly committed himself to his works and put a great deal of effort into researching them to ensure accuracy. In The Call of the Wild, there are three main themes that are made evident: naturalism, coming of age, and loss of innocence. Naturalism is what London is most known for, and is shown through his attention to the surroundings of his characters. Coming of age was displayed through specific life changing events that altered Buck’s perspective. And finally, loss of innocence can be seen in the gradual, but sure decline of Buck’s morals.
