Students should start homework when they get home
Students should start homework when they get home. One reason is because everything is fresh in their minds. The second reason is so they can finish school work/projects, then play or watch tv. The third reason is so that the students don't stay up to late. These are three main points to the side.
The first reason again is because everything is fresh in the students minds. They will remember what the homework is about. Everything they learned throughout the day will still be fresh in their minds. Marissa Burke states that, “When the kids come home and head straight into homework, the work of the day is fresh in their minds. It can be easier to help them understand problems being asked or to recall suggestions from their teachers”(pg 1). Marissa means that it is better to do homework right when they get home, and it helps them to understand the

Others say it is better for kids to watch tv, be on their phone, and play outside before they do homework. Students may even have clubs, sports, etc. right after school. They may even have sports after school making them start homework late anyways. Diane D. states that “After getting off the bus, none are ready to sit down and concentrate. I let them have a snack, then go play to burn off their energy, have dinner, then it's homework time”(pg 1). But, by doing this it causes procrastination. Which means even starting your homework even later. That means going to bed late and waking up late for school. The when you finish homework early the whole night is clear.
In conclusion I feel that students should start homework early when they get home. The first reason is because everything is fresh in their brains. The second reason is so they can finish work before playing, or watching tv, or being on their phones. The third reason is so the students don't stay up
Everyday, when the school day is over, students are most likely to get homework to do when they get home. This can be a lot or a little amount of homework, but it can still effect the students the way they are. These effects can be good, bad, or nothing, so today, we take a look whether homework should be assigned or not.
The only good thing about homework every night is that it keeps kids brains fresh throughout the night. If kids don't have homework every night then the kids Could forget what they learned in class that day. If they forget what they learned in class then they won't be able to pass the class. If kids can't pass their classes then the world will become not very smart.
Also, Students don’t want to wake up and finish homework in the morning. If teachers give students less homework they will not have to do that and be late for school. Students sometimes wake up late and are in a rush while also knowing
These people are incorrect because it is more important to come well rested and prepared for class than worrying about after school plans. Students have the weekend for plans when they actually have 2 full days to hang out with their friends. Students worry more about hanging out with friends than having a good education and because of this, they end up doing homework at night when they should really be sleeping. But sometimes they do not stay up because of homework, they stay up on their smartphones texting or checking Facebook looking at what the social media has to say about something that is really
First of all, I believe that schools should start later in the morning because of the students grades. According to Lauren Gold the students with the best sleep score – those who spent the longest time asleep and most time in deep sleep – were also the ones with the highest grades in the class. (Source D) This shows that the students who sleep more, are more apt to pay attention in class, which therefore means they would get better grades. Also with the more sleep they get, the more energy they will have participate with the class as well. Likewise, sleep helps the brain to commit new information to memory. (Source H)This fact
Homework in general can be difficult for a student, but when they get multiple assignments from more than one class, it can be overwhelming. Homework alone can take hours on end to finish without adding after school activities like sports or business at home. Studying for exams can be even more stressful and may take even longer than doing homework, making late nights even later. Students have to study in order to get good grades, but cutting their sleep short will not benefit them.
As a result, students will perform at a higher level, academically. Various studies have proven that students who are physically prepared for school, operate at a greater level scholarly. A specific examination would include, the study accomplished at Northwestern University in 2005. This specific study, examined 60 high school seniors and concluded that they attained a higher scored in the afternoon (3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.), than they did in the morning (6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), on vigilance tests, symbol copying, visual search tasks, and logical reasoning. In addition, research has shown that students who are sleep deprived are more likely to experience symptoms of forgetfulness, lack of concentrations and a limited ability in regards to learning. Therefore, these symptoms will negatively impact ones academic performance. Furthermore, generating the school hours, in regards to starting the day later will result in an increase in attendance, thus, an increase in academics. Studies through various schools that when the chances of one succeeding in a course increases when ones’ attendance is regular. Therefore, I believe that school should unquestionably, begin at a later time due to the beneficial development in ones academics that would result in extra
Schools shouldn’t have too much homework. Because it can be too much work. School should let students wear street clothes. For instance, some students may not have all the brain. But homework is good for extra credit.Street clothes should ok as long it’s school appropriate. And kids will have more things to wear. This is important because some may assume that school uniforms lessen a family’s clothing expense. However, many parents have complained about the cost of uniforms, which can be significant. Children outgrow uniforms quickly, and their uniforms may often get stained or torn. Replacement costs begin to add up, and parents also have to pay for casual clothes to wear outside of school. Schools with strict dress codes and uniforms have
"Should I finish my homework or go to sleep" is a question students are challenged with on a daily basis. A teenager who doesn’t get enough sleep often are sluggish and unproductive throughout the day. In order for the school to be beneficial for the students, school should start later in the mornings; however, other people disagree and say if we start later it would cause the students to end later.
`Students should be able to go to school later and get more sleep. Not only because sleep, but because of activities they will be partaken in after school. Also, students should be able to have time to do anything they wanted to do after school. Lastly, students should be able to have enough time when they wake up to eat and get ready in a reasonable
However, the majority of families have two parents that work full time and if they are having to come home and help their younger ones with work that should only be done during school hours, then it is more stress added onto their day. The time it takes for a parent to have their child to do homework could range anywhere from one to two hours. The problem with that is that families tend to be on a set schedule after school and work. When they are set to a schedule some things tend to get cut like playing outside, family bonding time, and in some cases it could cause the child to get to bed at a later time. Lack of sleep not only effects the child, but it also pays a toll on the parents. Therefore, homework not only has a bad outcome on the students but their relationship with their parents and home
Kids health will improve if they start late. According to www.npr.org, “It's for kids safety and their health.” I believe that if students get more sleep as they sleep they’ll stretch out and grow. That means your learning will improve also. They need more hours of sleep to be able to learn new thing in school and not be tired. Most students in school sleep during class.
The first reason teachers should give students less homework is that it takes away their childhood. When a student goes to school for seven hours a day, and then goes home to three hours of homework, they do not get to be a kid. It is suggested that student adopt an eight-eight-eight schedule. This schedule being eight
Bringing home school work every night is beneficial to helping kids understand the material more. If students don’t fully comprehend the notes before the end of class, homework is a good source to practice more and prepare for future exams. Sometimes, bringing home school work may seem like useless repetition of what was done in class, but studies show that “repetition creates strength. Performing a skill over and over again causes learning to stick like glue in the child's brain” (Ponte par. 9). Also, most class periods are brief, and leave little time for teachers to get through an entire lesson without any students being completely confused. Therefore, whatever isn’t finished within the class period, can be sent home with students to help
-Students work on homework until it is time for bed. -Most kids still have to prepare for the next day after they have finished their homework. -By the time students finally get into bed, accomplishing
