You can face adversity in many different ways such as a bean, a carrot, and an egg. I face adversity in many different ways it depends on the situation. I am going to tell you about one experience i reacted as an egg, a carrot and then a coffee bean. I reacted as a coffee bean when i got engaged, it made me stronger in my relationship and made me stronger as a person. I feel like it changed the way i look at many different things, such as the way i look at relationships versus being engaged. All the responsibilities that goes along with being engaged instead of just being in a relationship. We are stronger together when it comes to decision making and conversations. That is how i handle adversity as a coffee bean. I remember when i reacted
Adversity will be overcome when one becomes brave , determined , and has the willingness to fail.As being born without a arm, baseball player Jim Abbott, had a long journey ahead of him.Or the brave runners who ran the Boston Marathon after two bombs went off at the finsh line. last year.Even Malala Yousafzai, a young who got shot in the head by the taliban because she thought that girls all girl should get an education. All of these people remember to maintain in control , be brave , and accept failure when overcoming adversity.
Overcoming adversity is hard, but these people survived the toughest obstacles that life could throw at you. Before getting back up after you fall you have to gather all your strength and push whatever made you fall harder.Every time you fall the same solution might not work so you have to be stubborn and keep an attitude that tells your challenger Try your best shot, and that if you fall you won’t be gone for long.People overcome obstacles in less than three ways the three ways are by keeping a positive attitude, being determined, and lastly being a creative problem solver.
my application would be incomplete without my background not due to its bleak moments but because of its triumphant conclusion. i believe it shows my initiative, tenacity, and determination to succeed even in the face of tremendous adversity. High school began during a dismal period of my life. I suffered from depression due to a combination of bullying and my father's alcoholism and abandonment of my family. i was anxious yet excited about starting highschool,i knew it could be an opportunity to improve the family and social problems that plagued me. I knew that to overcome my shortcomings i would have to devout all of my time and effort into bettering myself. My self improvement began with me starting a counseling program for the children
When adversity strikes, am I a carrot, egg, or coffee bean? That is a complex metaphorical question that requires thoughtful deliberation before being answered. A carrot, egg, and coffee bean all respond to the same adversity (boiling water) in different ways. A carrot enters boiling water strong and hard, but comes out weak and soft. When an egg enters boiling water it is fragile, but afterwards the inside becomes hard. The coffee bean that is subjected to boiling water actually changes the water and releases a pleasant fragrance and flavor. Responding to adversity the way a coffee bean does would probably be the best option, but I do not feel that I respond like a coffee bean during every adverse situation I face. In reality, I feel that I respond to varying situations in different ways, as a carrot, egg, and coffee bean.
Howard Schultz believed “In times of adversity and change, we really discover who we are and what we’re made of.” What I think this means is you don’t know how much you can handle till you go through it. This quote means so much to me, because I recently faced a challenge when I had my knee problems not too long ago. My life changed forever when I landed wrong going for a rebound in a mid season game.
“Adversity causes some men to break, and others to break records.”-William A. Ward After reading this story it really made me think about how I personally handle adversity when it is presented to me. I can see myself as all three; the carrot, egg and the coffee bean depending on the situation.
“Write a brief essay explaining how you have succeeded in the face of adversity in your life.”
Life is hard and challenging. My experiences with adversity influenced the way I approach my goals. I learned about perseverance and strategies in achieving success. I found out that to earn achievement I need to take certain steps to get there. The only way to get to achievement is to have some type of struggle and failure on the way.
In this argument essay I will explain on when accepting is the best way to deal with adversity and when fighting back is the best way. Also knowing to which kind of situation should be accepted, and which adversity are best met with resistance. What is Adversity? Adversity is difficulties, misfortune, also is suffering pain, sorrows, hardship and distress.
Life without adversity is like a human without characteristics. No matter how your life goes, adversity will always be there. Merriam-Webster states that adversity is a difficult situation or condition: misfortune or tragedy. My life in the past 9 years has had many events that has caused my family many difficulties that have been very hard to get past. Being told that my dad was a cheater was the hardest thing to hear. The thought of him being with 2 other women during my parents’ marriage was the most disgusting thing to hear. I never imagined I would ever hear this about my dad. After this happened, moving on in my life was a major thing I had to do, supporting my sister and mom was important, and being able to move past it and trust people again was crucial.
I chose the power quote “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” –Abraham Lincoln. I chose this quote because facing adversity is tough but it can still be overcame but power on the other is often taken way too far and the people who have the power are controlling and become upset if you don’t agree or oppose them. So I agree with the idea that is expressed in this quote because everyone faced adversity on a daily bases but not everyone gets to experience power. If you look into the past at dictators like Hitler and Mussolini the faced their own adversity and overcame it but when they got power they abused it and they used it to their advantage and they ended up staring World War 2. In many prep discussions for colleges, the topic of failure, overcoming adversity and injecting emotion are always present. These discussions make me realize that my life has been very blessed. Around me I have friends with Cancer and other illnesses. Friends, who have lost parents, have financial difficulties or less than perfect home life. This is not my world and here is where I am a leader.
been the home to my family for a couple generations. Ralls is a rural farm community far enough outside Lubbock to retain its small town integrity, but close enough to utilize Lubbock’s amenities.
All people handle adversity differently. Thats where the question of are you the carrot, egg, or coffee bean comes into play. The answer to this question will determine which of these on would be. Adversity can have different affects on people as water does on these three items.
