To me success is accomplishing the goals, doing things the right way, and doing what you love.

I failed to reach the top of the rock climbing wall on the playground, and as a result, I have strived even harder to reach the peak of success in everything I do. Instead of becoming discouraged and disappointed in myself, I found a way to improve myself for my next challenge. Learning from my mistakes has molded me into an improved person while giving me the motivation to keep pushing forward. Failure has taught me the importance of learning from your errors and trying again, no matter how difficult it may be. Failure can be a very difficult thing to cope with. It can be something that makes you or breaks you. I have learned that failure is what defines a person; it shows your motivation to bounce back when things get rough. I have learned from my failure instead of dwelling on it and making myself weaker.

In addition, the willingness to learn through failure can help to reach the desired destiny. Nearly everybody fears failing, because it has been associated with all sorts of negativity. Success is characterized by meeting a certain social standard either from meeting an outward expectations or achieving a personal dream or goal. Maya Angelou put it as, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it”. I believe that success should be sought after as reaching personal happiness rather than pursuing a goal set forth by others. I do believe it is amendable for your peers, mentors, and supporters to believe you have reached the level of success in their eyes. However, when one reaches a fulfilled state of mind because of achievements made, no exterior opinions should matter and I believe that is the kind of success we should all pursue.

Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose in the dictionary but the definition varies from person. In the autobiography of Sandra Cisneros, “Straw into Gold” and of Ben Franklin they both have a strong theme of success. Within these essays they both proved that if you have a dream, you should follow it with all your heart despite any obstacle because they could be stepping stones in disguise. Sandra Cisneros had a dream of becoming a writer so much so that she craved it. “But there was another hunger that had to be fed.

I’ve learned this throughout my life but particularly during my competitive running career. I turned around a struggling team and led us to a national title. The path to get there was daunting and we had failures along the way, but we never gave up, we trusted in our training, and when race day came we won by the largest margin since the 1970’s. No matter what you are pursuing in life you will fail, but it’s not that you failed that defines you but how you recover.

Sometimes life just throws big failures at you and many people quit and don’t care about the positives, which can be learned from. The way you answer back defines the person you are, not the beginning. I encourage those to break down the rock and to become successful. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s that simple. The one downfall is only yourself and if you don’t get back up on your feet and learn that valuable lesson then nothing will be possible. On the other hand, if you find the motivation to do so, it will take time, but those are positive steps to a brighter successful future. As Warren Buffet said, “The first rule is not to lose. The second rule is not to forget the first rule.” If you feel like you lose and fail, just push yourself to not break the rule and maintain success. Understand? You can do it, its not that difficult if everyone can do it. I have failed many times and I gave up without thinking about the positives. It just shuts us down. You cry and become too emotional to the point where stress takes over and build a dark cloud over yourself. As years passed on, tasks became harder for me and the thought of killing myself would be the best option to get out of the bubble. What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Success to me can mean many things. Although I am successful in school, that does not necessarily mean I will lead a successful life.

What is success? Success is achieving your goals in life. It means you know that you made it. To keep going and never stop trying. People who are a success never stop trying, even now they keep trying, athletes, business people, anyone. We all want to be a success. But if you just give up, you can never be one.

Success can be a fickle thing. The world as a whole views people as successful when they have a certain amount of money, own an expensive car, or any number of material things. It is not always earned, not always satisfying. Success has become a triumph, a greedy dragon hording its treasure. People step on each other, success rearing its head and battering others with fire. What is success? Success can be defined in many different forms. Whether it’s buying a big house or that new sports car. Success can be defined as having a high paying job or being famous. Being successful has always been admired. However, many people struggle with being successful. . My definition of success is quite different. I truly believe that success is setting goals for yourself and achieving those goals. Whether you struggle to achieve your goals you are still striving to achieve.
