Islam is the second most popular religion in the world. Many people tend to believe that Arabs are the only people who are Muslim, this is false. In fact, the most populous region professing Islam is Indonesia. Islam is everywhere in the world, and it is actually in our country as well. We may not agree with them, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t try to understand them. To strengthen our faith with Christ and possibly convert others to the true faith, we must understand other false religions.
Islam came into effect by the prophet Mohammad. However, historians believe that Islam’s origin began with Prophets or Messengers. These Prophets, including Jesus and Moses, had original faith and spread Islam during their time. Most Muslims however do believe that Mohammad was the starting point of their religion.
Mohammad was the direct messenger from God. He was born into the Quraysh tribe in Mecca. This was the most dominant tribe in western Arabia. Later in his life, he began receiving messages from the angel Gabriel. Gabriel told Mohammad many things that would later result to the writings of the Quran. Some of the things the angel told him were that he must strictly become a monotheist, warn people of Judgement Day, and reprimand the wrongs of his city. Many people of Mecca believed what he was preaching and followed him. However, after his influential uncle died, the merchants in the city went after him. He then fled Mecca and went to Medina. He began life in Mecca where idolatry was a main fact of life but had to flee to Madinah to escape prosecution in what has come to be known as the Hijrah. Islam can be traced all the way back to 7th century saudi arabia. Allah gave the Quran to the angel Gabriel and he gave it to prophet Muhammad and he introduced islam in 610 A.D. Islam existed before Muhammad but it had about 70 families that followed it. Some famous people who followed this religion was Muhammed Ali, Kevin Gates, and Akon.
In 610 CE, Muhammad ibn Abdallah had been spoken to by an angel named Gabriel who had told him of God, who is Allah, the one true God. Muhammad went on, and started speaking the words of Allah to the people of Mecca, but many declined his speeches. Muhammad decided to leave Mecca and go to Medina, where he studied his new religion. Later, Islamic belief was born, and many had started following it. Many different ways Islam spread was through conquest, it was easy to follow, and trade.
Islam originated 610 AD in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Throughout time there are many stories and legends on how Islam sprung. According to the Quran it declares, that the holy book of Islam was brought down by angel Gabriel from Allah. Angel Gabriel gave the holy book to Prophet Muhammad. To prove this, the Quran states, "this is a revelation from the Lord of the universe. The Honest Spirit (Gabriel) came down with it, to reveal it into your heart that you may be one of the warners, in a perfect Arabic tongue" (Sura 26:192-195). "Say, 'Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (the Qur 'an) into your heart, in accordance with God 's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers '" (Sura 2:97). Islam is a major world religion. Its origin can be traced back to 610 CE in Arabia. The basis of this religion is the revelations to the prophet Mohammad. Dissatisfied with his life, he traveled to deserts, hills, and the wilderness surrounding Mecca, where he lived, to meditate and reflect. He became a new man through his revelations, which many of his followers believe Allah transmitted to him through his angel Gabriel. The objective of this work is to examine Islam, a highly controversial sensitive issue in today's world and specifically to examine the misconceptions, beliefs, and values of those of the Islamic faith. Most people think that the majority of Muslims live in the Middle East, while in reality there are more people of the Islamic faith living in Indonesia. Islam, just as Judaism and Christianity, is practiced in various cultures, serves to shape, and is shaped by those cultures. This study examines the perceptions of those of the three faiths in various countries and how they view one another and seek to answer how a level of threat is felt by those belonging to these three religious groups in various countries. Countries examined in this study include those of the United States, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, and the Middle East. For the one billion or more Muslims (about six million in the United States), who are of many racial and ethnic backgrounds -- Arabs being a minority -- Islam is the middle way between Judaism and Christianity; it restores the unity of the children of Abraham and overcomes the limitations of Judaism and Christianity. Jesus, the prophet to "the lost sheep of Israel," limits Christianity; Judaism is similarly limited. Islam proclaims a practical synthesis of Judaism and Christianity for all humanity.
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word "Islam" itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of "Allah" and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah's "God's" religion; the total submission to the will of Allah "God". The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a
