Farmersville is in major deficit since the recession. In order to increase the City of Farmersville budget action is required to come up with a solution, which will benefit 10,704 people who resides within city limits. To be able to increase the budget the city came up with two measures, these measures intends to help people of Farmersville, California, which will bring more jobs, better service for the community, and road construction and will bring programs to help the young and the elderly. The city of Farmersville has a major budget deficit that requires action. Their first option is measure P that can help the community with revenues. According to the department of California law, “Medicinal and adult-use cannabis regulation and safety Act regulate, control, cultivation, transport, storage, manufacturing and sale of medicinal and adult usage” (California Legislative Information). Marijuana has been pass yet not many people would benefit from it, and in order for the benefits to reach the city of Farmersville; The City had to implement Cannabis Tax for businesses, this business are going to operate on the outskirts of the city and which revenues is going toward the City general foundlings. Money that is collected will go into the City of Farmersville funds for the community. Some people believe that cannabis is bad and will bring more violence in the city because the Marijuana brings bad people’s attention and some fear of people breaking in the dispensaries, yet other people disagree. Some people believe that California allowed weed plantation, yet not enough funds were entering into the Farmersville Budget. When there is no revenues in the city, people who resides in the city suffer a major impact by not having enough money to keep cop, fire fighters, programs and the city maintenance, which could a channel to delinquency and fear. Many people are not getting the right service because of lack of money.
