The boy identified his father as the offender of sexual exploitation, and reported him to law enforcement. There was medical evidence of abuse, and there was three to four reports made. Nevertheless, based the assessor’s report, the court of law placed solitary physiological custody to the father. The court ignored the medical proof of exploitation, which contained cigarette scorches, and the child’s requests to be placed with his mother were denied. The boy was remanded to his mother. The boy has few visits visitation with mother, and the boy’s lawyer did not persist the boy’s desires. This sounds so familiar after reading the story of Beth and Sam. The boy suffered sexual coercion and rape since they are 3 to 4 reports, and the child is treated as if his opinions and viewpoints do not matter. It seems the interview of a child should be conducted in expectation of a legal debate, and the attorney acted against the child and mother’s necessities. CW went to 1261 Everton Dr, Apt 9 Akron, OH 44307 because they were called out by Akron Police Department (APD) for allegations of abuse towards 2 children. CW Jonathon Henry and CW Sonya Cole pulled up to the apartment complex and observed that there were over 15 people sitting outside. Both CW could tell that this was the correct address because there were 3 police cars that were sitting outside. As the CW's were walking towards the apartment complex an APD officer asked if the two workers were from CSB. CW Cold responded that they were. The officer then told CW's that there were not 2 children, however, there was 3. The officer stated that there was one child in the bedroom sleeping that they did not know was in the home. CW's were also told by the officer that Mr. Brian Burrell (AP) was in the home and that he was very agitated. The officer told the CW that they had called him down, however, suspected that he would get upset after entering the home. The officer also said that he already knew that the kids were in the custody of CSB and that he would most likely not be happy that the two CW's were at the home. The officer the led both the CW upstairs to apartment 9.

A report was received on 06/05/2017 alleging that the mother (Hermionne) left Ashante (C-V 17) with a non-relative since 02/2017 without any legal rights. According to the report, the mother refuses to take her child back home and will not engage with Ms. Aarons (caretaker) to provide legal documentation for the child to be enroll in school and taken to a Primary Care Physician. Ashante has not been is school for the past 4 months and are unable to enroll in school without paperwork. According to the report, Ashante self mutilates her arms, and the mother refuses to get counseling. The report indicates Ashante was to follow-up with a Cardiologist for a chest pain and the mother refuses to take her to the doctor.

IRTC spoke with CPS, Cari Covahey, who reported that she observed the subject child and her siblings and there were no visible injury. CPS stated that there are no present issue regarding the subject child being sexual abused, but she seems to have a strong attraction to sexual related content. CPS uttered that she was told that the child is making comments about wanting to get pregnant and she frequently make remarks which are sexual in nature. Based on the above statement, this case does not meet the criteria for an IRT. However, if there is any suspicion pertaining to the subject child begin sexually abused in a physical manner, CPS is to contact IRTC or an IRTC at ECS (after hours) for a case reassessment.

When a child is suspected of being abused, neglected or placed at imminent risk of serious harm by a member of the staff of a private or public school or an institution that cares for the child, the person in charge of the school or facility must notify the child’s parent or other person responsible for the child’s care that a report has been made. The state’s department of child abuse responsibility is to notify the head of a facility, school or establishment that a report has been made.

A YWCA of Richmond counselor contacted DSVRC advocate requesting assistance with a client who sought a preliminary protective order in the General District Courthouse and had an upcoming permanent protective order hearing. Advocate became in contact with client, Ms. Z was a 22year old African American female whose abuser was her ex-boyfriend, whom she had no children with and did not cohabitate with. Ms. Z ended the relationship a few weeks ago due to physical violence within the relationship, her abuser began stalking her and threatening her through third parties. Speaking with Ms. Z she stated that the judge who heard her preliminary hearing advised her that she was unlikely to obtain a permanent order due to lack of evidence. Ms. Z stated

On this date and time this worker travelled to 3850 Cherokee Trail to speak with Mr. Sayers. This worker explained the report received by the Department again to Mr. Sayers. He stated that all of it was a lie and was unsure why Kathryn would say that he did that to her. Reporter stated she intends to track down the boss of the hotline because she wants to know what standards for this new level are in place for a worker when someone complains about the father. Per reporter, it should be handled urgently to protect the child. Reporter doesnt want it to get to the court. Friday night, the reporter learned that the father's sister cried on the phone about him molesting her over 30 years ago and she is still not over it. She is still in therapy. The paternal aunt is willing to be contacted for additional information. Reporter stated if nothing is done, she is not going to let it go.
