There was once a little boy who had a dream of flying. He would always see planes, helicopters, birds, and flies, fly by his windows. He lived in an apartment building in New York city with his mom and pet cat named Brownie. The boy’s mom never let him outside or have any friends. She would lock the boy in his room with food and water while his mom went to work.
One morning before his mom locked him in his room to work the boy asked his mom “ Can I please go with you to work or the market at least”?
The boy’s mother screamed at him “NO”!
The boy said “Okay, fine”.
One day,his mom left but forgot to lock the room and apartment door and left her key on the kitchen table. He really was having the urge to fly now that he was able to go outside. The boy

He spent the night there and in the morning continued to fly. That day he flew to Hawaii. When he reached Hawaii he slept in the jungle by a waterfall and the next morning he was flying and decided he was gonna fly all around the world. He stopped every night in very deserted places so there were no risks of being found. One day he tried flying very high up and found a plane and decided to have a race with it even though he knew he would lose he wanted to try. He got tired and held onto the wing and looked at the window and saw his mom sitting there, then he knew she had been going around the world looking for him.
In his mind, he said,
“ My mom is gonna see me and she will try and break the window and jump at him and she would begin falling and I would have to save her. Then I will be stuck with her forever again.”
So he let go of the wing and began falling and landed on an island and decided to stay there forever.
In conclusion the boy stayed on the island forever and ever because it was deserted and no one would ever find him. He would still fly and have races with planes, but always came back to the

“Flying,” by Alice Miller is a complex story about a woman named Allie, who reminisces about a time spent when her cousin Mack taught her to fly when she was just a young girl. On different occasions when Mack visited, he would show her how to do new things. As Allie grew up she found herself thinking of the secret that Mack shared with her and how he told her not to tell anyone or she may get hurt. Allie longed for the feeling of flying, if she could just reach out and talk to Mack but too much time had passed. She dreams of flying in her sleep, not for long periods of time, but just enough to embrace that feeling she had years ago. She wonders if many people have experienced flying the way that she has and if she could fly by herself without Mack. One day, Allie tries to fly on her own and succeeds, soaring higher than she did with Mack. Before Allie knew it, she was flying through the clouds and around town. Now that Allie has experienced the feeling of flying again, more than ever she wanted to share with her kids. One night after the children were asleep she wanted to share her secret with her boys but instead chose her daughter. Miller suggests that when a person is afraid of doing something on their own, sometimes it just takes a little bit of courage to step out and let go of the things that could be holding a person back.
-Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder: In one of Alberto’s letters to Sophie he talked about flying. A small experiment shows Sophie the difference between the ideas of a child and a grown adult, and how something like flying can get such a different reaction from the two. “One morning, Mom, Dad and little Thomas, aged two or three, are having breakfast in the kitchen. After a while Mom gets up and goes over to the kitchen sink, and Dad - yes, Dad - flies up and floats around under the ceiling while Thomas sits watching. "What do you think?" Thomas says. Perhaps he points up at his father and says: "Daddy's flying!" Thomas will certainly be astonished, but then he very often is. Dad does so many strange things that this business of a little flight over the breakfast table makes no difference to him. Now it's Mom's turn. She hears what Thomas says and turns around abruptly. How do you think she reacts to the sight of Dad floating nonchalantly over the kitchen

Morrison permits Milkman at least one experience of actual flight, if only on a plane, but even then "the wings of all those other people's nightmares flapped in his face and constrained him" (222). Mostly, Milkman's flight fantasies are in the form of dreams, and they evoke womb images more than an idea of
One of the first things that he runs into his a porcupine that gets into his shelter and priks him. He also runs into a skunk that sprays him. “Stumbling and tripping, he scrambled into the water and slammed his head back and forth trying to wash his eyes” (130) So he builds a nice woven door for his cavern to keep things out. The next disaster that he runs into is that he his don gettin a drink when a moose comes and attacks him. The moose really hurts his ribs and he keeps moving on and gets back to the shelter. Then that same night a tornado comes and takes everything from him and puts him back at square one, with just his hatchet. However the tornado is what basically saves his life because he sees the plane tail and thinks about the survival kit on the inside. He tries and tries to get in and can’t until he bangs his hand off the plane and sees that he can get in by making a hole. He gets in and dives for the survival kit. This is where he almost doesn’t move on he sees the pilot down there only it is basically just a skeleton. He flips out because the fish have been eating him to and he has been eating the fish. He come back then goes back down for the survival kit. If he wouldn’t have gone back down and got it he would have never gotten the emergency transmitter that a local plane gets and comes gets
As they flew over the Canadian Wilderness, the worst thing that could possibly happen to the pilot, happened. “He stopped as a fresh spasm of pain hit him. Even Brian could see how bad it was--the pain drove the pilot back into the seat, back and down.” (page 10). This was the start of the symptoms for a heart attack, the pilot was having a heart attack. All Brian knew about the plane he was in was a brief lesson from the pilot and what he had read in books. “He was flying but did not where, had no idea where he was going. He looked at the dashboard of the plane, studied the dials and hoped to get some help, hoped to find a compass, but it was all so confusing, a jumble of numbers and lights.” (page 16). Once he had the plane in control, he had to use his knowledge to land. As a result of the heart attack, this was the start of the longest 54 days of his life, he was all alone
Characters- Piscine Molitor Patel (Pi)- In the pretext for the story, Pi is introduced as a shy, middle-aged man, recounting his story that changed his life. Ever since I was young, I have always been interested in flight. Flight gave me the idea that I could be free to travel the air and wander in any direction. The sky seemed limitless at that age and the limitlessness is what drew me to Peter Pan. As my mother would read to me, I imagined Peter taking my
