Florence Kelly fought for child labor. She has a strong disagreement of children working at night while we sleep. And some rhetorical devices that she uses to convey her message is compare and contrast, imagery, and description. Each of these devices show what children do while working at night and what children suffer off. Through the second paragraph she compares and contrast girls and boys, she compares them in the beginning of the sentence when she describes that “No other portion of the wages earning class increased so rapidly from decade to decade as young girls from fourteen to twenty years. Men increase, women increase, youth increase..” She talks about every age increasing each time “Rapidly from decade to decade” but later on contrast
