Last night I ventured from Bellaire to Corning to take in the Crestline at Miller game not knowing what to expect, mostly because I had no knowledge of Crestline other then their record going in to this one(3-2).
The stadium is very, very old school, with little seating. For some reason this works for the very passionate Falcons fans and for me I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The only down fall was the white off colored scoreboard, that you could not see until the sun went down.
This one was a six all tie at one time, then the Falcons soared to forty one straight points. Leading the way was their talented quarterback

The point extra was missed and this one was locked up, with a little over 7:00 left.
Miller would score on the ensuing kickoff but not in the traditional way. Eveland fielded the ball and then took it close to the 5-yard-line and the ball skidded into the end zone, where #10 Zach Waldrop 5-11 / 180 pounced on it like a wildcat taking down a gazelle out in the African wild and making this a13-6 Miller lead. #52(Not on the roster calmly hit the point after to make the score, Miller 13 Crestline 6, with 7:24 left. The P.A. announcer did call out the time left on the clock at times.
Later in the opening quarter the Bulldogs were forced to punt and things did not go well for them. The snap was over #30 Dakota Wireman head and rolled 20-yards behind him, where he did all he could by falling on the ball. Things were just starting to get bad for the Bulldogs. We at time had no clue to just how bad.
Compston would take the handoff from his quarterback and pick up 9-yards. He carried the pile about five-yard on the run as he showed a lot of lower body strength and true American grit, much like John Wayne did back in the good old days.
The drive ended with a little under 4:00 minutes left in the quarter, when Bartley plowed in from a yard out to make this a 19-6 game. The point after kick was god again and this was a20-6 game.
The last big play of the opening quarter came after #20 Moore Caleb 5-11 / 185 made a long run after a nice catch, but he fumbled the
It was the biggest game of the year, what every person wants to win, the championship. The score is tied 24-24 and the Idaho Hawks had the ball on twenty one yard line. It was third down and five and they ran the ball for only two yards and it was fourth down. They went for the field goal and got it. The score was 27-24 and the Texas Rams were ready to receive to it. On the return they ran for twenty yards. With only five seconds left the quarterback, John Halen, threw the ball to James Morgan. Morgan outran the cornerback and with no time left Morgan at the five yard line dropped the ball. The Hawks won, they were the champions.
Both defenses mitigated the playmaking elite passers from stretching the field, but it was Staubach who pulled off the unthinkable with the clock ticking. After the Vikings took a 14-10 lead on running back Brent McClanahan’s 1 yard rushing score, the Cowboys needed a touchdown on the games’ final drive.
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – It was not exactly a work of art when the Gents lost game one in heartbreaking fashion to play the if necessary game, but the Maroon and White jumped on the Tigers from the first pitch in the decider.
The Vikings had the ball with 1:42 left and at their 39-yard line and helped with a pass interference penalty on Kam Chancellor, went into the Seahawks area. After eating up the clock for a certain win, Walsh missed the winning point
In the second quarter, Garoppolo had a great start to the quarter throwing a short pass to James White who ran 56 yards for a big time reception. That pass set up a 1 yard run by LeGarrette Blount for the touchdown.
“Sunny and 75 with bright blue skies today is a great way to start off the college football season”, says a sports analyst on the tv from a tent in the tailgating section. Walking down the strip peeking through the trees seeing a glimpse of the arena reminded me of a modernized colosseum. Approaching the main entrance greeted by a metal statue and a stadium with a dark shade of brick with countless of doors and glass windows. Many Lovie Smith propaganda is seen around the stadium along with the array of Illinois gear. “Welcome to Memorial stadium, it’s game day for your Fighting Illini”, said the announcer. My stomach dropped for the fact that college football is officially back.
Cornish threw a great pass for Gus Aiga to score the first try of the afternoon, and then were immediately gifted field position when the kickoff went out on the full.
The first game started out close leading up to a tied score of, 11-11, but Lions caught momentum and scored seven more points, while Illini could only score one,18-12. A timeout was called for Illini. They battled their way to 16 points, but they did not keep their streak alive, ending the
Tony Satini combined with David Williams to march 80 metres up field off the kickoff, which immediately placed the Sea Eagles on the attack. Hodges sold a ball out of dummy half, spun through a defender and planted the ball down to make the halftime score 28-10.
Mark Ingram converted a critical 3rd-and-13 by breaking five different tackles and made a 14-yard gain.
Three plays and thirty-two-yards later Lincoln County scored again. The scoring play was a Yaden pass to Carrier,
The Pirates got things started with a eleven-yard run by Mack Dyer just fifteen seconds gone off of the clock. That run was followed by a twelve-yard run by Dominic Reyes, at the 10:45 mark. The Pirates offensive line was off to a good start in this one as you can see, with the two big runs. At the 9:07 mark Dyer was hit and coughed the ball up, luckily for the Pirates Lyden Collins pounced on it though the play went for a six-yard
Matt Frawley unsuccessfully attempted a field goal on the stroke of halftime, which meant the score remained 10-0 heading into the break.
In the first quarter, the Broncos started off with a three first down march down the field, but were forced to settle for a 34 yard field goal by Brandon McManus giving Denver an early 3-0 lead. When the Panthers took the ball for the first time, they went three downs without a first down and were forced to punt. The Denver defense was not spectacular at first, but they held Cam Newton and the Panthers down.
Defense was big again, with :27 seconds left in the half, when Moore was taken down by #54(Not on the Eagles roster)
