Throughout the history of mankind, a thought that had always crossed our minds was always the ability to create a creature similar to us with same features in a human being, and stature. The meaning of life and death had always been questioned for eternity; the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley address a man by the name of Victor Frankenstein, who desired to put an end to the myth of life and death. Using compare and contrast, we find out how Victor Frankenstein was depicted in the text and film, and what motivated him to attempt giving life to a creature, and his treatment towards the creature afterwards.

He was curios, and had always wondered on the meaning of life and death in both text and film. Victor also felt the need to create something that will keep our loved ones free of sickness, whether it had to do with creating a specific body part for the dysfunctional ones or having a chance of defeating death and disease to let everyone in the earth to have a chance of life, and to allow people to love each other and be together forever. Victor had same motives in the text and film.
His mother’s death is what changed his whole perspective on science and leaned towards the study of anatomy, as he was fascinated over the feeling of life and death, but what motivated Victor in the film was the death of one of the professors at the University he attended. The conversation he had concerning life and death with the professor pushed Victor even further. It was the complete opposite in the text. Unable to get his mind off what the professor had told him about getting close to creating a creature, it had struck his mind to go even further in the experiments his professor had conducted concerning
