It was a normal hot summer day and my family and I, got up at 6:00 am to see the parade and fireworks, and also to visit family, on the Fourth of July.

Many people started to panic which lead to a lot of poverty and people struggling economically to support their families. It all started on October 29, 1929 which today we know it as “Black Tuesday.”. “On Black Tuesday when the stock market crashed, billions of the people’s and Bank’s dollars were lost as the world went downward” ( Stock Market Crash). This was known to be the largest economic downturn in history. After all of the chaos with the economy the crash of the stock market led to the Great Depression. It was for the 4th of July and was at a kid’s lake house nearly an hour away. It seemed as though his entire family showed up for this one party. The party started around 2pm and ended after 12. When my family and I parked, I remember thinking, “Are we the only people who don't drive a pick-up truck”.
