A true friendship is a bond between two people that care equally about each other and put the other person ahead of them for that person’s benefit. Friendships are given to people to show that someone cares about them. Friendships teach you how to care for someone, always do what is better for that person, and trust the people that stay with you.
When I was in sixth grade, I was going through various obstacles with my father. I had one friend that I truly had assurance with, so I confided to her. She was a very altruistic person that I revered so much. She was there with me when I was lamenting about my father and what he was experiencing. She was constantly checking up on me because she cared enough about me. In a friendship you must care about that person. In the book Of mice and men, George cared about Lenny so much

She would give me space when I needed to ponder what could happen, she would give me her shoulder to cry on, and she would leave everything she needed to do to comprehend what I had said. I would absolutely do the same for her. In a friendship you are supposed to put that person ahead of you, like George did what was best for Lenny. When Lenny was in trouble and people were going after him, George did what he had to do. George shot Lenny, while he was turned around. He did it because he put Lenny before him. It took all he had just to do it, although; he would do it again.
I trusted my friend with whatever I told her, so I told her everything that happened and why I was upset. I told her because I knew she would not tell anybody unless I told her. Lenny’s aunt trusted George to take care of him. They went everywhere and did everything together. George never left Lenny’s side because he promised he would not. They both trusted each other. I consider the most important items you can have in a friendship because once you break that trust, you will never be trusted

Fortunately, for everyone’s sake, not everyone was only out to save himself or herself. In contrast to the many examples where betrayal was the norm there are several examples of friends who were genuine and helped to make the situation better for someone even they could not make it better
A Friendship is made up by caring for someone special to you, It’s looking out for them, hanging out with them, and trusting them.
Firstly, a friend will always be there during your worst. For example, in the book “All Quiet on the Western Front.” Paul stays in medical care with his friend, Kemmerich, until he passes (Remarque). Thus, Paul was being a true friend by staying by Kemmerich’s side until death. Secondly, you can even be friendly to absolute strangers. For instance, in the book “All Quiet on the Western Front,” after Paul’s leave, he gave the Russian prisoners cakes (Remarque). Therefore, Paul felt bad for the prisoners, which showed friendship. Thirdly, even in war the enemies can show friendship. Case in point, in the movie “Flyboys,” during war a German airman had the change to kill Blaine but, he did not do it because Blaine’s gun was not working (Flyboys). Accordingly, it is okay to show friendship every now and again. As you can see, friendship brings out the respect and care in
What is friendship to you? Friendship is always doing whats right for your friend even though it might hurt. In of Mice & Men there is alot examples of what true friendship is. the theme John Steinbeck was trying to play out in of Mice & Men is that true friends do whats right.
Friends often come and go. It is sometimes very difficult to distinguish those who are truly there for you and those who are not. It is important to know the difference so you are not disappointed in the end. For instance, friendship is found in John Steinbeck’s novella Of Mice and Men. The main characters, George Milton and Lennie Small are friends that travel together and find work on ranches. George is the smart, ethical friend, while Lennie is mentally impaired and acts very childlike. After reading the story, I believe George was a good friend to Lennie.
Friendship: to have a genuine friendship indicates that each person is willing to do what is best for each other despite difficulty or sacrifice on their own part. A fine example of true friendship is in John Steinbeck’s novella, Of Mice and Men. In the novella the relationship between George and Lennie illustrates that a friendship is defined by doing what is best for the other.
George and Lennie were true friends because they both looked out for eachother. As far as the beginning of the book
In the book Of Mice and Mice by Steinbeck John, I think the theme is friendship. The setting of the story is the Great Depression. In the Great Depression people went solo. They wanted to be independent they did not want to depend on other. George and Lennie travel together they are best friends, so I believe the theme is friendship.
You know Lennie ? A big, tall dude that wasn’t all there ? Yeah, well he he had a “friend” named George. I put quotes around friend because was George really a friend to Lennie ? Maybe not a great friend but definitely his best friend, a good friend. In my opinion friendship is based on the good over bad. If you do more good than bad you’re a good friend.
‘Of Mice and Men’ Essay on Friendship There are many studies that show the importance one done by Karen A. Roberto the director of gerontology at Virginia Tech said that “Friendship is an undervalued resource [...] friends make your life better”(The New York Times-What are friends for). The novella ‘Of Mice and Men’ is about two friends (George and Lennie) that have an amazing relationship unlike many others at the time. They have a dream about owning their own land. They face many challenges along the way but keep persevering to achieve their dream Throughout the novella John Steinbeck portrays the importance of friendship by having a dynamic relationship between George Milton and Lennie Small.
Friendship is an integral part of the life of any human being. Most people feel the need to have a person who they can communicate with and talk about their challenges at any given time. Friendship is essential in
Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual acquaintance. True friendship is not just a "relationship", but self-sacrificing love. A friend is also one who supports, sympathizes, and is a person in whom you can confide. There are unique qualities that a person must have to be considered a friend.
True friendship can be defined as the relationship between two or more friends that contains mutual trust and support. Ordinarily, a friend is someone who knows a person almost better than his or her own self. Friendships are not about keeping secrets from one another, judgement, or competition; they are not one-sided or jealous. The ability of acting as one’s true self without fear of what others may presume is true friendship. Trust, happiness, care for one another, and loving as though a person is part of his or her own family are the structural beginnings of friendships. In the past, I had had several friendships come and go. Through these experiences, I have learned how to maintain a real, healthy relationship with friends. One outstanding example of the true meaning of friendship is found in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7; it reads, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
The main and important quality of a friend is to give support. One of my friends that I’ve been friends with for the longest time, Courtney, have been supportive from the beginning. She wouldn’t judge me by the decisions I had chosen. Instead of judging, she stood by my side through Adams Elementary, the school that we knew each other from, till this day. When I was eight years old, she experienced the greedy, bratty, and a mean little girl that matured through the adolescence stage. Courtney was the first person to give me encouragement that I needed in order to have a serious conversation with my mom, that owns a business of nine years, about deciding to pursue my own
