Buck Samuels would work best on the committee in the position of “Fund Raising and Sponsorship Officer”. He would be responsible for raising funds and scholarships. This position would fit him best based on him being familiar with the community’s leaders, his familiarization with the community and his ability to win people over with his likable personality.
Because he feels he is “good at getting people to do what they would rather not do”, and has a good connection to the community (being well known and likable), he would be a good person to create fundraising drives. This could be centered on fishing or woodworking and carving, or could involve his knowledge of home building. As Hallowell points out, “match what a person is good at and likes
As an involved member of the Business and Finance Academy as well as DECA, I feel I would be a suitable choice for an Executive Board member. I believe that with my success with DECA and my previous experience with leadership in Girl Scouts that being a part of the Executive Board would not only benefit the group but also myself. I am excited to get more involved and anxious to start more community service and fundraising programs within both the Academy and DECA. Throughout these past two years I have grown more comfortable with the students and faculty involved in these two organizations and have learned from them. I have many ideas about community service since I have many connections through Girl Scouts and also have ideas for
I would be honored to be selected as a member of the senior athletic committee because this would allow for me to bring my love for potomac sports to others in the community. Ever since I can remember I have been going to the Potomac football, basketball and games; each and every time I remember looking up to those high school student that were decked out in blue and orange. At the time I did not know of “SAC,” all I knew was that I wanted to be just as amped up to support potomac as they were. I believe that my love for potomac school sports is second to none. One of the reasons I love potomac sports so much is the sportsmanship our student athletes show on and off the field. This is defined in one of our core values, respect. I believe that
He is a 24-hour on call minister. He sets a wonderful example of giving to others; through various things he does each year. He provides transportation to doctor’s appointments to not only members of his church, but others outside of our congregation who need it, regardless of the distance. He is “Santa Clause” for the foster children of Lincoln County, Christian Ministries Christmas food/toy distribution, as well as at the Lutheran home of Salisbury, and where he has served for over 30 years. He is a partner with the communities in schools, and acts as a mentor at West Lincoln Middle School. He also serves at a proctor during exams at many schools in Lincoln County. He’s is very involved at North Brook Elementary School where he has served as the president for the PTA, and also prearranged and maintained a secret Santa shop there. He also organizes the community Lenten services each year. He has played a part in planning a pottery show to raise money in order to build a new and larger library on the western end of the county. He often preforms wedding and funerals for nonmembers in need throughout the community. In addition to all these great things, he also makes many home and hospital visits weekly to people in our
Mr. Scott Ferris as Vice President/Clerk and 3 more people as members; Chandra Mann, Sandrea Kerr and Barbara Braden to help to determine a petition with their votes.
With many distinguished and honorable roles under my belt I truly believe that I am the perfect candidate for the freshmen president. I was one of the co-captains for the Clover Hill High School Varsity Track and football teams. I was also president of the relay for life club. Other leadership roles that I have obtained in the past would include; freshmen mentor, senior class advisory consul, YMCA camp consular, Middle school track student coach, lead vocalist in RCS Acapella group, Algebra II student teacher, and lead roles in the school musicals. With all these leadership roles that I’ve obtained through out my high school year it has taught me to associate with not only other club, sport, or musical, but with the individual members. As
First, I like to donating money to causes I believe in. Even though monetary donations are difficult on a person with a low income or strict budget. There are always causes in my town of Phelan to get involved in. As in any other town, there are a number of disadvantaged homeless people needing help on a daily basis. Mark is one of our local homeless population and whenever we

Our names are Logan and Maggie Huff. We are contacting you regarding the fundraiser we have done for our niece Sophia Huff. We both started the fundraiser for Sophia however; the funds were released to Logan, Brigham’s brother. As you know, you have been receiving numerous messages from Brigham Huff. We have also been the recipient of many harassing and obscene messages. We have responded appropriately to those messages and we would like to share with you our story.
Charity was considered for this nomination because she has shown proficiency in each of Continental's core values. The team that nominated her was able to give specific examples of this as well as the positive results that have taken
There are three main traits that I possess that would qualify me as a dependable and responsible board member to represent the senior class. One trait that qualifies me for this position is that I am an organized individual. When papers or other miscellaneous items are handed to me, I place them in locations to where I know where they will be at for when the items are needed in the future.. This organization helps me and others become less confused on where items are placed and to spend less time searching for different items. The organization will help the senior class as a whole because the other students on the senior board will not be confused or flustered because they do not feel they are prepared for different activities, such as homecoming
In order to strategically meet the needs of the Board I would choose the following four new Board nominees: Peter Skylar, Charles Wong, Sue Novenski and Carmen Diaz. The hospital listed their needs and each of the nominees would be able to contribute to the hospital and create the environment that would work to its benefit. Listed in the order of preference to join the Board the nominees each had the following qualities that would assist in the major goals.
To be on a committee you should be passionate and excited about what you are going to influence over the next year. I tried being in committee last year even though I was not passionate about the committees. I did enjoy helping people while I was on the poverty committee but it wasn’t my passion. This year I want to experience helping different groups because I feel like I would be able to find out what my passion really is. I want to know this because it’s something I feel I must know about myself and that will also help me choose what I want to do as a career.
Last week, Garrett and I submitted our application to be reviewed for USEED fundraising. Our first step is to meet with Paul Racz, a USEED leader, for a 1 hour interview in order for our organization and fundraising campaign to be approved. This meeting will be happening this Thursday, Sept. 22 from 1:15pm - 2:00pm.
At Momentum we have an organization in which we support monetarily, called Speed the Light. Nolan has a passion for Speed the Light that goes deeper than most of the students in our district. Even though he is in a wheelchair and is not able to talk well or move any of his muscles, he raises the most money for the organization in the nation. He has done this by thinking of the idea of opening his own ice cream truck. With the
