1)Geographical segmentation

South Korea is located in Northeast Asia, with a country area of 98,445 KM2. The Surface Area is about 99260 km Squares, with about 2/3 of the surface is covered by mountains and hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees. The geographic situation limits the country’s agriculture and leads to a high-price-rental and composed space condition of real estate in most of the major cities. The capital is Seoul, with is located in the north part of the country, with an increasing population of 10,349,312 in 2016.

Due to the special geographic situation, South Korea highly relies on import. South Korea imports $639Billion in total goods & services and exports$728Billon. Net exports indicate a trade surplus of $89.2B, which may lead to an economic development but in the meantime, it may result to higher prices and a devalued South Korean Won. From the table we can see that even with a much larger population, India couldn’t exceed South Korea too much neither in market shares nor in quantities. And this table demonstrated that South Korea had the potential market that we can explore.
