The gestalt is observed all mental element as unity because the gestalt declared that totality is the first point to observe the mental processed, whereas mental element are secondary. Therefore, every pieced of mental element are important to make a whole constellation of consciousness. This perception has a meaningful of consciousness that get to know a whole perspective of mental
After putting the CH2Cl2 to a beaker containing the drying agent anhydrous sodium sulfate, a sticky white solid was recovered.

The purpose of this lab was to utilize roasting, smelting, spectroscopy, and the carbonate test in order to determine the identity of an unknown copper mineral. I determined that the most useful of these tests in determining the mineral was roasting because it provides a fairly accurate percent composition of copper in the unknown mineral.
The two essays that I choose for the synthesis essay are Parkinson’s Alley by Joy Horowitz and The Environmental Issue from Hell: Global Warming Is the Great Moral Crisis of Our Time by Bill Mckibben. Parkinson’s Alley is about residents in California’s Central Valley town of Visalia who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. This part of California has the highest number of people diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease. The pesticides that are used in the surrounding farms seeps into the water that the residents use every day, causing them to get the disease. The Environmental Issue from Hell: Global Warming Is the Great Moral Crisis of Our Time is about how global warming is a moral crisis that, if not combated
Napoleon betrays his own principles time and time again for his own benefit. When Boxer the horse overworks himself and his lung collapses, Squealer, the main propaganda of Napoleons regime notifies everyone that Boxer is going to be taken into a veterinary hospital for recovery. However, the animals begin to realise that Boxer is instead being taken away to be slaughtered, Boxer tries to escape when he finds out the harsh truth, but is too fatigued from overworking himself. Squealer reappears at the farm to mitigate the outcry on the farm regarding Boxer’s whereabouts. He tells them that they have misunderstood the situation and that despite the veterinarian’s actions, nothing they did could save Boxer’s life. Napoleon’s corrupt ideas of betrayal
The idea that mental states are non-reducible properties of brain states is the central tenant of a theory of mind called property dualism. However, before we can assess the theory we must be aware that the question assumes the existence of mental states and as such we cannot answer this question from some perspectives (e.g. eliminative materialism)
Consciousness allows a person to recognize their existence, and subsequently, to form their essence. The
This theory focused on three components which are as followed; the first one is individual elements of consciousness, second is how they organized into more complex experiences, and third is how these mental phenomena correlated with physical events.
The same function that gives unity to the different representations in a judgment also gives unity to the mere synthesis of different representations in an intuition, which, expressed generally, is called the pure concept of understanding. The same understanding, therefore, and indeed by means of the very same actions through which it brings the logical form of a judgment into concepts by means of the analytical unity, also brings a transcendental content into its representations by means of the synthetic unity of the
The mind is a complex myriad of thoughts and psychological systems that even philosophers today cannot entirely grapple. It is composed of the senses, feelings, perceptions, and a whole series of other components. However, the mind is often believed to be similar or even the same as the brain. This gives rise to the mind-brain identity theory, and whether there exists a clear distinction between the physical world and the non-material mind. In this paper, I will delineate the similarities and differences between mind and brain, describe the relevant ideas such as functionalism and materialism, and provide explanations on how these theories crystallized. Further, I will discuss the differing views of this concept from multiple philosophers’ perspectives and highlight the significance of each. Ultimately, I will defend the view that the mind-brain identity theory is false by analyzing its errors and examining the invalid assumptions it makes about consciousness.
In this essay, I will talk about Jean-Paul Sartre’s work about the Nature of Consciousness. Firstly, I will discuss his theories of Consciousness and secondly, I will talk about how they developed in response to the work of other philosophers. Lastly, I will state why his work is still interesting today.
As the tool of scientific investigation increase, the relationship between the mind and the brain has never been more intimate. Chemical changes in our brain could lead to heightened euphoria or it can lead to the most profound depression. Damages to the brain can lead to changes that can eliminate the some abilities of the brain, such as smell, vision, or even the ability to recognized faces. Therefore, this is at that vary lease a powerful correlation between the state of the mind and state of the brain. But this is not enough for the Identity theories, so they go above and beyond this to explain this profound view.
from the physical body. In the Identity Theory, the mind is one with the brain and there
“No matter what we are, and what we sing, Time finds a withered leaf in every laurel” (Robinson). “Richard Cory” written by Edwin Arlington Robinson, tells a simple yet thought provoking story of a charming man who everyone envied, because he seemed to have his life completely well put together. In the poem, the people of the town seemed to be unhappy and resent what they thought was a humdrum life. But it was Richard Cory who was the one truly not happy, the moral of the poem is: appreciate your current status because money certainly does not buy happiness. Even the richest, most good looking people in the world have problems. Just because a person looks like
