In a culture with a diverse assessment structure and augmented judgment visibly by companies with changeable ethics and interests, there appears to be further difficulties on business individuals to make tougher ethical assessments. In our day-to-day performances, we depend on on our ethical principles to monitor us in the correct path and do the correct things. The substance of any efficacious and perpetual business is they segment a mutual ethical matter concentrating on presenting and generating value along with allocating their business values with the citizens they network with on a day-to-day basis.
Due to my involvement in my school, I have a plethora of opportunities that affect my community. As a member of the National Honor Society, we stay involved in activities that benefit our chapter and Walkerton itself. For instance, we annually undergo a food drive at our school in order to supply food for the people in the community. Then we transport the food to the food pantry and once every month we take turns to distribute the food to the people who need it. This distribution we do for the community aids the people in need as most people receiving the food are unable to transport the food themselves. Alongside the food drives, I spend hours of volunteering for concessions, tutoring students after school, and aiding for the band teacher.
This paper is composed for the individual assignment for week 2 of the MBA 633 Legal Issues in the Workplace course. The topic for this assignment consists of the differences between ethical and legal business issues. This paper will provide answers to questions related to employee behavior away from the office, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and bribes. Both topics have been presented in the form of video cases (video 93 and 98) found in the Cengage digital video library.
Any employee who feels that he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment should immediately contact the Human Resources Department for investigation and corrective action. Protection from retaliation will be provided and confidentiality will be provided as much as reasonably possible. Any employee who witnesses someone engaging in what could be deemed as sexually harassing conduct is obligated to notify the Human Resources Department even if the victim says that they can handle it or that they can take care of it themselves. Sexual harassment is an illegal act and must be reported and investigated just like any other illegal activity.
Chattahoochee Technical College is pretty active in the community. They are doing a great job encouraging student and faculty to give back to the community by supporting
They have recently built a Career and Technology Center next to the high school. Fairfield Central High School have received new textbooks this year in almost every class. This past week the cheerleaders and the staff from Fairfield Central helped raise money for our coach’s wife has cancer. We decided to sell bracelets and these papers called paws. We sold the paws and bracelets at school, but we just sold the bracelets at the game. I do not know exactly much money we made but I’m pretty sure it was a lot. That shows that Fairfield is very wealthy and will do anything for a good cause.
As a campus, it is up to us to expose out students to more and to inspire them to do more. So, it is in our best interest to partner with our surrounding community leaders. We are within the ideal area; there are major churches such as Antioch, Concord, Friendship West, and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. Along with the churches, there is Youth World that serves as an aid to at-risk children. Another bonus is the fact that the high school a majority of our students will graduate from is right up the street.
The California Scholarship Federation at my high school actively participates in our school's peer to peer tutor and mentor program, as well as serve food to the homeless at our local Gospel Mission and assist in the community's effort to clean our local river, the Tuolumne River. Twice a year, we fundraise for the end of the year senior scholarships for worthy senior CSF members and over the summer we organize a picnic
We at Saint Mary’s are very fortunate among the Memphis community. We go to a great school, have nicer homes, and overall stability in our lives. Not all Memphians, much less kids in Memphis, are nearly as lucky as we are. The need for the Community Fund is to create a bridge from us to those less fortunate than we are. We have time and funds, so helping other children is a necessity. Creating a world, or a better Greater Memphis Community, where all children can have the opportunity to thrive and have the chances we do is the goal. We need the Community Fund, so we can spread the blessings we are given because it is only fair we try to help others to the best of our ability.
2. The ethical dilemma presented to me while in command of Bravo Company is that 1LT Urbanks took three dead-lined trucks to support missions. I reminded him earlier in the week to fix those vehicles. Prior to this SSG Jones (B. Co Head Mechanic) was killed causing a delay in the upkeep of our vehicles.
When it comes to conducting research, you would need to find which way would be best to inform the customers on the issue that’s presented. You would need to have basic information on how much money this will cost the customer and how cost effective this will be. Research should be done to find out what the city leaders have done unethically and if these individuals should still be employed within the company.
While in high school, I have been able to give back to my community through my
