Great people live with good status and can take care of their family. Greater people live with good status and can take care of their family as well as their relatives and clans. The greatest people may or may not live with good status and may or may not take care of their family, but take care of their clans as well as the entire nation, are called national hero. The greatest and the superior people may or may not live with good status and may or may not take care of their family, but take care of entire humans and living things, are called gods.
Then, Who are
People that demonstrate leadership, set good examples for others that look up to them. This type of hero could be anyone. People look up to their parents, teachers, policemen, firefighters, their friend’s parents, and many more. These people can all count as heroes for being leaders and setting good examples for others to follow. People that just always do the right thing can be leaders, and because of that, some people are heroes and they do not even know it. For instance, in the article, Love Triumphs: 6-Year-Old Becomes a Hero to Band of Toddlers, Rescuers, Deamonte Love was a six-year-old boy that took charge of his siblings and neighbors when they were being rescued
In my opinion, a hero is just a person like you, who does normal things and events, but in extraordinary conditions and measures. They go above and beyond to try to help people and always put others before themselves. I give a huge amount of respect to these people and how they live with that mindset. An example of this person came to my mind as we toured the 911 memorial when Mr. Kriegshauser told us about all the firefighters who risked their lives going into tower one to save all the innocent people. This just sprung to my mind how much bravery it takes to do that act for someone who you do not even know. Honor isn’t only shown in those big events of terror or when people are in need or great help. You can show honor in everything you do in everyday events/occasions. You can put to test just by showing honor to your parents, when they ask for something from you or when they are in a time of need. That is what I like about America, in just the fact that we can show honor and acts of goodness without being told what to do or being forced into
When one thinks of heroes, names such as Ghandi, Martin Luther King, and Mother Theresa often come to mind. These people had done a lot of favors, courage, helps, and more of things for the people who needed them. The true definition of hero is a man of distinguished valor. Bravery, courage, intrepidity, boldness, daring, and prowess in war are a hero’s characteristics. However a hero is understood to be different to everyone. Upon closer examination, many different qualities than these become apparent. The definition of heroism changes with the context and time. Heroes of the past are not necessarily heroes of present time and vise versa. A person can be a hero for saving the life of one or of millions.
The relationship between gods and mortals in mythology has long been a complicated topic. The gods can be generous and supportive, and also devastating and destructive to any group of humans. Mortals must respect the powers above them that cannot be controlled. The gods rule over destiny, nature, and justice, and need to be recognized and worshipped for the powerful beings as they are. Regardless of one's actions, intentions, and thoughts, the gods in Greek myth have ultimate power and the final decision of justice over nature, mortals, and even each other.
The First Nation Peoples lived on the grassland of the Prairies, they were the first people to use the area for many resources. On the Prairies, the first Americans can get their medicine and food from the plants on the Prairie. They would burn the Prairies so they could beat the bison in a hunt. Bisons are the Native Peoples main source of food supply. Bisons were very important for the fur trade activity for the European town. The meat on the bison was theirs nutrition, the skin of the bison was used for clothing and shelter. Also, the bones and muscle became their tools source. The Prairie lands were the most fertile lands, the prairies could grow nearly anything for the First Nation food and medicine resource. Such as they grew and planted corn, wheat, and soybeans for their food source. The Natives would
The gods can be generous and subsidiary, and additionally devastating and damaging to any humans. Unable to manipulate the higher powers mortals must show respect. The gods rule over the justice, destiny, and cultural values. Demanding mortal's recognition and revered for the powerful beings they are. Irrespective of one's actions, intentions, and thoughts, the gods
My uncle, Gary Norder, is my American Hero because of his devotion toward me, and my family, The times he spends with me, and the effort he puts toward to support his family and mine amazes me. My uncle and his brothers started a company called Custom Caulking. The Norder brothers say it's been hard for them, but they still manage to sustain a wealthy business.
1- Identify the key personalities such as political leaders, athletes, entertainers, commentators, religious leaders, and others of the contemporary cultural context. How do these individuals influence beliefs, opinions, attitudes, and values?
One person’s hero might seem equivalent to an another ordinary person to another. My father might not be world famous, but to me he’s just as much of a hero to me than any one of those people. Every day he works to ensure sure that I have an opportunity to succeed in life, have a peaceful life, and be able to grow as a person.
The band Foster the People first started in Los Angeles, CA in 2009. Where singer Mark Foster formed the band after being a struggling musician and a commercial jingle writer. Foster knew Mark Pontius, the drummer, since film school where they were both talented musicians. Mark eventually left his old band Malbec to form a new band with Foster. After Foster had written a few songs, he realized that they had a singer and a drummer, but they needed a bassist. So Foster’s long time friend Cubbie Fink joined the band after losing his job as a television producer during the great recession. Together they formed the band Foster and the people, but people misunderstood and thought that it was Foster the People. Foster the people wrote their hit song
Heroes are those who have gone above what the average person would do to ensure the welfare of others. Natural disasters, terrorism, poverty, and war are some of the many things that destroy and end people’s lives. Throughout history, many people have made a difference. However, as history progresses, what we consider to be socially normal changes along with our definition of a hero. In Ancient Greece, Theseus, Hercules, and Perseus were considered heroes, but today only Theseus and Perseus would be considered heroes because Hercules would be shunned by society.
Another idea of a hero was when Gandhi had stood up for his country; India. “Gandhi led nationwide campaigns to ease poverty, expand women's rights, and build religious and ethnic amity” plus he had “spent a number of years in jail in both South Africa and India”. In other words Gandhi never gave up showing everyone how India should be independent. Gandhi had stood out his way by leading marches to declare independence. Gandhi had been admired for his bravery (when he was thrown in jail a few times), his confidence (he never showed any sign of weakness) and perseverance (he had never gave up).
There are many heroes, but there are those who sit back and question what or who makes a hero in today’s society. It has never been a set standard for heroes. In this modern world, there are many types of heroes. In today’s media, there is a contrast between million dollar sports figures, glorified celebrities, and the normal people we call heroes. Some heroes receive no recognition and others receive hero status with ease. However, it has yet to be determined whether our meaning of heroes has changed due to this influence. We have known about the
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself” (Campbell 1). When we think of heroes most of us think of movie stars or professional athletes, but it’s not always about your popularity or talent it can also be about how you help society. What I think make a great hero is someone who is able to overcome his or her obstacles in life, is highly motivated, and has plenty of bravery.
A hero is described as a person admired or idolized for courage, outstanding achievements, and noble qualities. Typically, when honoring a hero, a person would list the traits such as bravery, selflessness, and humility that distinguish the hero as noble and outstanding. Imagine worshiping a hero with no specific identity. In the poem, “The Unknown Citizen” by W. H. Auden the government tries to commemorate a man they only know the records and documents of. Auden uses irony, symbolism, and the structure of a eulogy to evaluate the disconnect between the government's idea of a model citizen and a person's individuality and personality; that disconnect suggests large government lacks genuine care for its citizens.
