In 2008 my wife and I were blessed with our first child Wyatt Gregory Peconi. He was born premature and only weighted one pound four ounces and would spend the rest of his short life in the NICU. He lived one month and twenty-eight days before getting sick he had necrotizing enterocolitis he would pass away from this sickness. This was very hard on my wife and me I took to drinking and a lot of anger and hate. We would eventually have our daughter Mackenzie Grace Peconi and this helped a lot and I found my best friend in life. Lanier Phillips was born March 14, 1923 in Lithonia, Georgia. As a child, he was told by his great-grandmother to never look a white man in the eye or, he'd "get a whipping, or maybe lynched." This was just part of his early life in Georgia. When African-Americans built a school for black children, Yellow River School, the Ku Klux Klan (or KKK) burned it down. It was then he knew he had no future in Georgia. Lanier was sent to live with relatives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1932, to help save him. He went to Main Street Elementary until he joined the army at the age of 18.

Emilio Pucci’s real name was Marchese Emilio Pucci di Barsento, and he was born on November 20, 1914 in Naples, Italy to one of Florence’s most respected families. Unlike other designers, Emilio was raised in comfort. In 1934 he became a skier, joining the Italian Olympic ski team, and started school earning his PhD in Political Science. Emilio got a skiing scholarship and attended the University of Georgia in 1935. He served several years as a pilot for the Italian Air Force, and returned to his home in Italy because of health issues that kept him from flying.
