Our team name is Group 6. The following individuals are a part of this team: Katelyn Fox, Ryan Dickman, Vincent Mahr, and Conor Knox. If a team member does not communicate within the twenty-four hour agreed upon timely manner, then the team will be forced to move forward in the project without their input. If this is a repeated problem, their lack of communication skills will be represented in their peer evaluation. We expect each team member to own up to their behavior. Success of this project will depend on ownership and accountability. If the group cannot depend on a particular member, then the group will be forced to not take their input, when they finally do offer it, very seriously. It is expected that if a team member cannot attend
In a project the communication level is a very important part from the beginning to the end of project close out and completion stage. This method in the plan is extremely necessary and it is a needed tool that helps assist the project team, the stakeholders, and the executive team of Enterprise. This tool is effective and it makes sure all members involved with the project is on the same level of understanding, it makes sure all involved stays updated on the
The understanding of the distributed teams; in order to increase the cooperation and to decrease the coordination costs between the distributed teams. The following meetings recordings are essential:
I am taking your class CTEC 345. We have a project 01 and a project require to work in a group of two. Unfortunately, I could not get a classmate to work with. I asked one group to work together with them and they allowed me to join their group. I would like to get a permission from you if it is possible to work with a group of

I agree with you that assessments in a group is essential to understand the functioning of the group members. Also, I believe that it is important to assess individual members as well as the group as a whole. As a group facilitator we must constantly gather pertinent information that will be used to achieve the individuals and groups goals. Assessing the group helps to make the group more cohesive and beneficially to the members. You made a great point that understanding the characteristics of the group members can help improve group participation. I do believe that if a member is not participating does not mean that they are not benefiting from the group. Also, having a member that monopolize the group does not they are
Being as this group is not in the average group setting, communication is key for greater results. Members should make good use of use group email, group discussion board forum, or text for updates and for clarifying any questions. All members are encouraged to check their emails and discussion boards daily. If a member is unable to fulfil their commitment, all other members should be notified immediately so that the task can be reassigned and completed in a timely manner. Exchanges will be open, honest, respectful and proactive.
Dyads are activities where members of a group are paired together to discuss/solve problems or complete a specific task. This tool is use to increase comfort, provide fun, and provide different learning experiences (p. 220). Group leaders must plan and establish structure before conducting dyads. According to Jacobs et al. (2012), “group leaders need to know when to use dyads, how to pair up members, and the length of time dyads should last” (p. 210). Leaders/facilitators should use dyads in their first group session as a team building skill.
Trust may be a major issue during the group process. Since the members are female middle school students, the likelihood of them previously being betrayed by a trusted friend is great. It may be difficult for members to trust each other when disclosing personal information. Another issue that may arise is shame. The girls may not fully self-disclose because they are ashamed about the negative self-concept they have of themselves. It also may be difficult to say these negative thoughts about themselves out loud to other people. Hopefully, the fact that they all have some perception of themselves will aid in enabling them to self-disclose with confidence.
I always prepare for my groups well in advanced; having my writing utensils, worksheet or movie, and follow up questions helps my stay organized and not get overwhelmed if the group goes a different way then excepted. I believe I have the skills and knowledge of when to end a group for safety reasons because I have had to do it many times at Sheppard Pratt. I have had to stop groups due to patients becoming aggressive towards each other, overall negativity or disrespect for the therapeutic environment and others, and many other reasons. When the group is no longer focused on the task at hand, I try to redirect everyone back to the focus of the group with stimulating questions about the topic or ask the participants how it going. The group dynamic can be a difficult one to understand, but I believe I have a good overall
The facilitator was attuned to the group dynamics, and immediately after she noticed that the level of participants’ engagement decreased, she introduced another song or movement activity. It is worth emphasizing that the kids were familiar with the songs and dance movements. They especially enjoyed activities that incorporated singing and dancing, for example “Bananas Unite.” Some parents were just observing their kids, while others actively participated in singing.
3. Figure out where the communication breakdown is an fix it. I would argue that in this case, there appears to be a lack of communication on all fronts and that it is detrimental to a project of any type.
I am in a ssep group. My ssep group is against other groups. But we are respectful to all other groups. What we have to do is think of an idea that can be studied in space. We are trying to see if penicillin will affect haemophilus parainfluenzae in space. We are pushed to do our best in our ssep group. My group shows good character by respecting other groups. And even if we lose we will not get mad. We will show good character and congratulate the winners and support them all the way. We will even help them figure out some the fatal flaws in their project. We will cheer them on when they are on television. And if we do win we will not brag or say anybody’s project sucks. We will tell the other contestants good job. We will thank our science
The start of class we began with a group exercise to practice with our breathing and our interaction with our classmates. We had arrive and say the person’s name with ease. It was an exercise to make sure to you knew everyone. How your you react and how the breath takes a part of your speech once you speak. My experience with this exercise was I felt I was not taking the time to breathe, where I would just say the person’s name.
Levin (2005) suggests that the idea of a team is to share the same objectives. This may not always be the case if team members have never met before and are not fully clear of the task set. This can lead to confusion between members and may mean that some team members are unwilling to be told by their peers what to do. This is an example on ineffective team work.
