Hello,
In this Memo, I wanted to highlight some key points in regards to the group work that we will be performing in the incoming weeks. Everybody has specific strengths and weaknesses, and hopefully this will allow us to recognize specific strengths and weaknesses, along with any possible concerns.
I am very goal driven and time structured. I also always try to find the best in every situation. In school, I try to gain the most possible personal satisfaction possible - whether this is “book learning” or character development. Ultimately, I would like to have a career I enjoy over money, prestige, etc. This also applies to my schoolwork.
I have an extensive amount of experience devoted to teamwork. I worked at Principal Financial for 9
This stage sees group members begin to confront each other as they begin to vie for roles within the group that will help them to belong and to feel valued. Thus as members begin to assert their individual personalities, the comfort of the forming stage begins to come under siege. Members experience personal, intra and inter group conflicts. Aggression and resentment may manifest in this stage and thus if strong personalities emerge and leadership is unresponsive to group and individual needs, the situation may become destructive to the
To be perfectly honest, I didn’t have a clue as regards “Forbidden Island” and wasn’t too familiar with many board or card games. My initial

What is groupthink? There is a simple definition for it, but is it truly that simple? The term groupthink refers to the inclination of group members to have the same opinions and beliefs; it frequently leads to mistakes. It often occurs without an individual being aware of it. Conflict is considered to be a harmful element when related to groups, but conflict is good when considering groupthink because it helps to eliminate the existence of a groupthink. The explanation sounds simple enough, but it is more complex than the description given.
Group work has been a cornerstone of the social work profession and requires a variety of facilitator skills and awareness of group processes. The SSLDTM Group Program for People with Difficulties in Social Situations (Socialwork1914, 2017) provides an excellent example of a psycho-educational group co-facilitated by two female social workers, Jane and Karen. After viewing the 6th session of this 8-week program, I began to understand how the concepts of group formation/development, interpersonal dynamics, and leadership styles contribute to successful group work outcomes.
Chapter conclusion: Benefits for employees are very important for companies. Benefits for employees include various insurance plans, paid vacation days, paid sick leave, paid days off, etc. Different companies need to establish different benefit plans based on their company conditions. In brief, benefit in one of the bridge between employers and employees.
Group Relay: The goal of this relay is to use different types of locomotions to win the relay race. Split the group in four even lines at the starting line. Demonstrate the movements that racers must perform. Race starts at the blow of the whistle (or other cue).
My focus this week was my group power point presentation. This was the assignment me nervous because my presentation was going to be a reflection on my team members as well, so I felt more pressure to put an informative and clear power point presentation. This assignment made me realized that team work is essential. We depended on each other to present an informative presentation, and we are not able to do it if we don’t communicate among ourselves. I found this group presentation to be challenging because we all have different schedules, responsibilities and time zones, but I have learned that even if everyone has different responsibilities, it is important to communicate with each other.
In school and in english, I try my hardest to get good grades. Even if I don't feel like studying I know i have to look it over in order to hopefully get a better grade. To study, I look over the terms or what is being studied a couple times over. After looking it over a couple times, I may test myself and see what I need to study more. I am good at getting my homework done. If I am done with the homework for tomorrow, I see if I can get any done or started for later in the week to be prepared. My goal is to get good grades in class and to finish out the class with a good grade. Another goal of mine is to get better at English and understand it more because I don't think it is my best class. I also would like to pass the Keystones. My weaknesses
I make schoolwork my priority along with getting involved in high school clubs and activities. I am an organized, hard-working person and I am always willing to take on a challenge to gain more experience and knowledge. Once I put my mind to something, I stick with it until I am completely satisfied with my result. I am always searching for other tasks and opportunities because I know that there is more out there for me to reach my fullest potential. I keep myself open to new ideas and I am always willing to share what I have learned.
Please remember that we should all be working on team work. This should be implemented on a daily basis. We should be calling each other to see if anyone needs help when you are done with your work.
This assignment is a reflective account on what I have learnt on the subject of partnership working in both group meeting and overall learning of the module in Lecture and Seminar, and how this knowledge could be applied to my future practice in health and social care. Partnership working based inter-professional meeting- What I learnt This is a team work exercise that involves interaction between two or more people of different professional disciplines. it involves collaboration, cooperation, pooling of knowledge and profession, effective communication with members involved meeting together on agreed plans, monitoring and evaluation and be able to complete the task according to agreed procedures.
After completing the group task of preparing a presentation on, transferring individual facilitation skills into a group work setting I will critically reflect upon my own participation. I will evaluate my self-awareness while working in the group, as well as those around me. The way that I personally dealt with any issues that arose within the group and how that affected the group dynamics. I will also briefly discuss the roles in which each member of the group took and how role allocation affected, the group dynamics and the working relationships. Finally I will evaluate my work having discussed it with my fellow group members.
Effective group communications come in forms of verbal and non-verbal techniques. Essential parts of the entire group’s contribution are that the group contains full participating members, the group is diverse, and that the diversity is recognized and respected (Hartley, 1997). In the videos viewed, three were evaluated on the effective and ineffective communication skills of the participants and suggestions made on how they could improve. The videos are titled, “Planning a Playground”, “Helping Annie”, and "The Politics of Sociology.
My dedication to my school work is one of the most important aspects of my persona. As my middle school French teacher stated I was a "surly, taciturn young lady, who emphatically refused to do her homework [...] but when [I] realized that the work was not impossible, not even difficult for [myself..I] left with a brand new attitude". Once the light sparked in me and I realized I had to give myself more credit and actually believe in my academic abilities, I began to put my all into my schoolwork, thus becoming a straight 'A' student throughout middle school and high school. For example, I stayed after school almost all of the time and ended up getting an 'A' in my accelerated Geometry course that I was previously close to failing. I was determined to prove my excellence to not only myself, but those that doubted me. Due to my dedication to acing this course I understood the concepts inside and out and actually began to help my teacher tutor my classmates after school. I was only able to achieve this through my determination for
