Throughout the book I found that Jax Aubrey had Determination to go and meet the girl next door, who Riley had told him to stay away from. Even with Riley telling Jax to stay away from her Jax still think about going and meeting her on "Grunsday" which is the only day in which she exists. I feel that the reason for this is because of what he's heard about her and how she is kept there and now allowed to leave and is basically a prisoner, also hearing that everyone stays away from her, meaning she doesn't interact with anyone and is pretty much alone with no one to talk to or engage
The title of the book is Crenshaw. The author’s name is Kathrine Applegate. The genre is fantasy.

It was published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux (BYR). It also has 320 riveting pages that won't let you put the book down! This is my absolute favorite book ever and is full of mystery and edge.

After reading 80 pages of, “Skud,” by Dennis Foon, I felt motivated by the actions and determination shown by the main characters of the story, especially Andy. In the book, all the characters had a goal or objective and worked hard to reach that goal. Although most people would not advise someone to center their life around one certain thing, I think that when one finds a purpose or objective in life they should always do their best to reach this goal regardless of what others say or thinks of it. In the book, Andy dream was to become a popular actor.Although the possibility of getting cast is low and although he was hurt and unwell, Andy still went to the audition because of that small possibility. After reading about this, I felt determined and motivated by actions like this.

The author’s purpose in writing The Eighth Day was to teach a lesson. Not everything comes to you as easy as you think. Throughout the book, the main character, Jax struggles to obtain his friendship with Evangeline. Jax is called a transitioner. That means that he has eight days in a week. Evangeline is what they call kin. In this book, kin means that she can only live 1 out of all 8 days. This is a struggle for Jax because, for everyone one of her days, he has seven more. Plus, Jax’s guardian, Riley, was trying to keep Jax away from Evangeline. Riley is her captor. He has trapped her in a house and is going to keep her there until she dies. Jax doesn’t realize this is for her own good, and he goes against Riley to get her out. Riley is
The book I read was The Eighth Day by Dianne K Salerni. The genre of this novel is fantasy adventure. This book is labeled as fantasy because of it’s magic a well as it’s interesting fictional plot. Adventure is also featured in the title because of all the unusual and exciting occurrences. This piece of literature mixes Ancient magic,Arthurian legend and a modern twist to bring an intriguing book. The complicated alliances and cold-hearted villains keeps the reader on their toes.
How could someone’s mind not be changed after reading what we have read this semester? These books contain eye witnessed testimony of what the camps were like and how you had to live or be killed. The horror that occurs in any Holocaust or genocide is too horrible for a mind to create just for a story. The information presented by Abzug is not just a pile of statistics, it is evidence. I question if it is too real for someone not to believe it happened? I am disgusted at the fact that some people will deny the fact that this happened or even try to lessen what it was to make our country and its hypocritical government seem better and look like they tried to help.

In his book, Louv stresses that in a generation brought up amongst a culture of fear, our society is at direct blame for teaching young children to avoid intimate contact with the natural world. Well-intentioned parents, schools, and media have instilled this said culture, due to our own generalized social anxieties and fears. Fear of lawsuits, strangers, traffic and the unknown wilderness are only a few examples of how we as a society has begun to over-parent. Everything from a child’s school routine to their leisure time is carefully controlled these days. This general ignorance stems deep into this generation's’ parental expectations, only supporting the absence of unstructured outdoor activities in children’s lives. Other factors are

Sacrifice, even when it comes to one’s ultimate end, is crucial in order to survive as a productive race. In the book Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, he illustrates the hardships of the early-nineteenth-century lifestyles. With the resurrection of an evicted man, the novel sprouts from a broken family recovering and growing. This novel incorporates many grand gestures and adventures, such as the French Revolution, treason trials, and the sacrifice of one’s own life in the name of love.
