“The right to bear arms”, an amendment so prioritized by our founding fathers that it earned the very second spot on the list of birth rights as Americans. However, with constant tragedies striking the United States, such as massacres in public high schools and universities, mall shootings, and attempted assassinations on state representatives, it’s no wonder law makers are constantly debating the topic of gun control.

Gun control is a controversial issue for a long time around the world, particularly in U.S. because of a lots of mass shooting in school and public places. The second Amendment of the U.S. constitution is one of the shortest in all of the bill of right, it was written by the time period of American’s birth and it is the spirit of self-defense that help the new citizens of U.S. win their own freedom from the British. But now as the gun shooting problem happening every day in America, this gun control problem has gradually become to a hot issue. Compare to other countries like Britain, Canada, Japan, China, the difference between U.S. and those countries is in these countries to get a firearm is a very difficult thing

The pro gun control debate is sided by the more liberal organizations. Whether they are conspicuously discernible organizations for gun control, or even just more liberal news sources, be sure you ken their political standing afore taking their data as whole truth. Even an organization such as NPR cannot be held as 100% reliable, because of their generally liberal agendas. The gun control debate facts for the anti control side are just as suspect. Gun control is defined as the “regulation of the selling, owning, and use of guns” (“Gun Control” Merriam-Webster 1). Gun control is a heated topic that many Americans concern themselves with today after recent mass shootings. Suggested solutions are posed and debated between different viewpoints. The laws in existence today should be carried out and tightened before excess laws are passed. Many Americans have turned to face the issue of gun control after recent mass shootings like the one in Las Vegas or in some Churches. Some Americans with a more liberal view believe that tighter gun control laws should be enacted. More conservative Americans believe that the gun control laws already passed should be followed through. The gun laws that have already been passed should be followed through opposed to enacting new laws because many laws are already in place, gun control laws do not stop illegally obtaining a gun, and strict gun control laws have failed to prevent mass killings in countries.

Gun control is a law that controls how guns are sold and used, and who can own them. Allowing people to possess and use a gun with legal documents in the United States is legal. There have been arguments on whether or not is should be legal to own a gun as some people see it as beneficial and others do not. It is believed that guns are beneficial to have, and they are there because we need to be able to protect ourselves. We should not allow the government to have power over gun control for many reasons including the loss of tradition of hunting, not being able to protect ourselves, and simply because of the second amendment.

Some States in the United States are debating whether or not to set the Gun Control Law. Some people oppose this law while others support this it. I support the Gun Control Law. I support the law because their will be fewer suicides, less gun related deaths and people will less likely make attempts on shootings

Imagine a small, happy family with a mom, a dad, and a little baby girl. Now imagine them hiding together in fear in the corner of their house as a man holds them at gunpoint, robbing them of everything they have. They can’t defend themselves because there has been a recent ban on all handguns in the United States. Scenarios like this will happen every day if we allow more gun control laws to be put into effect. Guns are used in defensive ways 250,000 to 350,000 times a year (Barrett). Can you imagine America losing that many more people every year, all because they enforced laws that wouldn’t allow everyone to have a gun? Gun laws in the United States are effective as they are and do not need to be added to or changed. In order to truly understand why, it is important to examine the causes of the problem, the effects of the problem, and what is being done or what can be done to help solve the problem.

The concept of gun control has become a hot button item as we live in a country where mass murders, school shootings, and many other gun related crimes are becoming more and more frequent. People are faced with the impending questions on what should be done to limit these types of crimes and how can one defend themselves and their loved ones from becoming victims to these senseless acts? The main question regarding these issues is; should stricter gun control be instituted in the United States?

The reason why our nation is allowed to bear a large quantity of firearms is due to the Second Amendment of our constitution, which specifically states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." (U.S. Const. am. 2) Because of how vague this amendment is when it comes to law interpretation, it is often used by gun advocates to argue for lenient gun laws. Even though the Second Amendment prevents the federal government from completely banning guns in America, there are still restrictions on the distribution and possession of firearms. Each of the states have their own specific gun laws but generally, a person must obtain a license or permit to purchase or possess a firearm. Also, another thing to note is that all states allow some form of concealed carry, which is carrying a concealed firearm in public. Despite the laws that allow the bearing and distribution of guns, society has multiple viewpoints concerning the usage and appropriateness of the freedom of having the "right to bear arms."

Although an ongoing issue throughout decades, recently the debate surrounding gun control laws is being heated by the multiple mass shootings that have been occurring in the past few years. With each mass shooting the issue whether if gun control laws are the answer or not to solve this perceived national crisis. The reason why the United States, unlike many other countries that have already banned or restricted more heavily certain guns, has not developed a more radical approach to the problem is because of the Constitution.

Gun control is the set of laws or policies that regulate the sale, manufacture, transfer, possession, modification, and/or use of firearms by civilians. Are the United States’ current laws for gun control effective? Is the U.S. in need of reform or enactment of new laws? Alarming statistics indicate that the status quo is ineffective. Gun control laws in the US should be stricter and uniform since there are an unusually high quantity of gun-related incidents in the U.S.. Additionally, countries that have more rigorous gun control are shown to have drastically lower gun-related death rates. Through stricter gun control, we may protect the country and its future generations from people who should not be able to obtain firearms.

The processing of possessing a gun is pretty easy and it goes by the steps. Processing depends on state because each state has different ways of possessing gun. At first, Many states require a few days to pass between the time a person purchases a gun and the time when they can take possession of the gun. A background check of criminal records is mandatory in some states before one can assume ownership of a gun. Gun permit is required to own a gun or use a firearm, more likely, people are required a permit for any jobs and some states also require all guns to be registered. Gun control laws sometimes create a direct ban on some types of guns, including Unregistered and illegal guns, Concealed weapons, Assault weapons such as machine

We have all heard of all the tragedies throughout the country regarding guns. According to the President (2013) "We know that we cannot stop every act of violence with guns, but what if we tried to stop even one?" Weapon controls in the U.S. is structured at a state level and each state has their own restrictions on gun control. In different parts of the nation, there is significantly more resistant to firearm laws. For instance, in Texas, the gun law permits individuals to carry handguns on their side like in the cowboy era. In Kansas, firearm owner is not required to have a permit to concealed weapon. In Missouri there is not required that a gun salesman to have a background check or a waiting period. However, there is a requirement to take a gun class, once you pass the class a buyer can purchase a gun then register it with the sheriff department. In California a person can petition the court to remove a firearm from a family member capable of violence.

Now comparing to owning a gun, it’s much easier than owning a car. What you need to do in order to own one is to have money and passing a small background check to make sure you are not a criminal. There are no insurance of owning a gun like owning a car and you don’t have to prove to people that you can handle it with care after purchasing it. In fact, gun shooting lessons are completely optional after you pass the very few steps of owning the said product. When in the old days of owning a car, the US learned that regulations must be issued on that. The policies of carefully owning a gun has not been changed and the homicide rate for nation continues to strike impressively high.

Gun control laws are policies that the government uses to regulate how guns are used, manufactured, and possessed. There are many laws and many different restrictions on guns for civilian use but there is also the 2nd amendment which supports the right to bear arms. There are major punishments for people if they do not abide by the laws put in place. Government officials should ease off their stance on creating more gun control because it is beginning to violate the second amendment right as an American citizen. People even feel safer when they are carrying a gun because it gives them the confidence they need to where if they get attacked they would be able to defend themselves.
