Owning a gun is legal in the United States for self-defense or hunting or sports, and it’s the second amendment. However, in recent years, violence has significantly increased in the USA because of guns. There are more cases of children and young adults engaging in violence or getting caught in the crossfire. It is shameful to say that almost every day we hear about some gun violence. Guns can be used for self-defense or sports, however they also can be used for robbing, shooting and many other violent purposes. We can get safety and reduce crime rate by banning guns. These are the reasons why guns should be banned.

Developing stricter gun laws in the United States can lower the amount of crime that is committed using firearms, as well as to prevent accidental death, homicides and suicides. Gun control is effective, and many nations have the statistics to prove that. Firearms have a place in society, but it is not in the name of self-protection. The source is somewhat incorrect, as gun control is necessary, but it does not mean that all firearms should be eliminated.

A mass shooting is defined as a single shooting incident which kills or injures four or more people, including the assailant.” These numbers are outrageous and something needs to be done.
