Throughout history the citizens of the US have used firearms to protect the nation, protect their families, hunt for food and engage in sporting activities. However, in recent years, violence has significantly increased in the USA because of guns. There are more cases of children and young adults engaging in violence or getting caught in the crossfire. It is shameful to say that almost every day we hear about some gun violence. Guns can be used for self-defense or sports, however they also can be used for robbing, shooting and many other violent purposes. We can get safety and reduce crime rate by banning guns. All a person has to do is turn on the television to a news channel, and at any given time, heartache, most often linked to guns, can be found.
