Before I chose the Healthcare Administration and Planning(HCAP) degree program I had committed myself to a major, at another university, that did not fuel my passion and or encouraged me to continue. I knew I needed to make a change. I decided to stop and refocus and find out what my purpose was. With experience in community and customer service I knew that I wanted to serve people and find a way that I could help others to live their best lives. I began by researching careers in which I could serve others and make a difference. That is how I found healthcare. For as long as I can remember, I have always sought to work in an industry that allowed me to help others. The HCAP program at Tennessee State University has filled me with a great …show more content…
I am also passionate about making sure that my work reaches all people regardless of income, gender, race, socioeconomic status, nationality, etc. I’m passionate about helping those in need and those that lack resources. I primarily seek to work with people in lower income communities and hopefully work on projects that could help rebuild and grow those same communities. Major topics and issues that interest me in education are women’s health, public health, and managed care. My purpose now is truly fueling my passion. Students often recognize the faculty members that assisted and encouraged us throughout our education. However, we often forget about the staff that assist us almost daily. Mrs. Debra McCauley, Administrative Assistant HAHS, has assisted me during my time in the HCAP program and I do not believe we as student show her our appreciation enough. Mrs. McCauley is always a present and pleasant face to see in the HCAP department. Mrs. McCauley makes it her business to her students informed and she works hard to complete tasks for all in a time
I am passionate about working in a primary school to support the education and welfare of pupils and families.
For almost half a decade HOSA has provided students the gateway for to develop leadership and technical skills in healthcare. For many, HOSA has allowed them to achieve their full potential and interact with people who share their same interests. HOSA has given me many opportunities, from national competition where I was able to study current health issues and interact with HOSA members from around the world to the fall leadership conference where I have been able to improve my leadership and communication skills. HOSA has given me countless opportunities, and now I want to give back. Becoming a HOSA state officer will allow me to give back to my fellow members by helping them to achieve their own personal interests in HOSA. I want to apply my experience as a leader and involvement in my community during my time as a HOSA state officer to help members fulfill their personal goals and the mission
Working with children and supporting their learning is my passion. I have always been inspired by the opportunity teaching offers each child to reach their full potential; which understandably plays a crucial part in children achieving lifelong learning.
This school year, I want to get more involved with clubs and athletics that interest me. I am in HOSA and Student Government; which I would like to run for a office in Student Government at the end of the school year. I was also apart of the football and basketball teams and I am also going to try to be on the track team. Furthermore, as the year progresses, I want to receive all A's in my classes (have succeeded so far). In English this year I am going to further my reading and writing skills. To do so, I will need to practice these skills continuously which I feel that I can accomplish.
Everyone has a dream or something they want to follow in life. Some want material gain while others want to help as many people as they can. I’m not saying wanting material gain is a bad thing, but what I am saying is that for me, money is not the number one concern when my dream is to help others. My hunger to help others only grows by the day. Because of what’s going on in the world we live in today, I believe that it is important that those who are less fortunate than others have the assistance they need to get to an even playing field, health-wise, with others.

The HLLC community not only provides students with accommodations of residential living but it rewards students with the opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities and teamwork talents. By being a member of the HLLC community I will be guided as student but shaped into a student leader. I will be able to learn about the right ways of approaching and bringing awareness to social issues, An example in which would be my passion to increase cleanliness and education around the globe. I once saw a documentary entitle “On my way to school”, it featured 6 children and their daily difficulties. They lived in an areas filled with filth, but were happy and thankful to at least have a roof over their heads. These kids would also have to
From the day I got my appendix removed in 7th grade, I knew that becoming a medical professional was my calling. Although the road to becoming a medical professional is a long, tiring, and difficult one, I believe that I will be able to conquer it. Throughout high school I was lucky enough to participate in a school organization of HOSA, which not only helped me in my decision to become a health care professional, but also allowed me to grow and learn as a leader over the last couple of years. The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health occupations education students, therefore, helping the students to meet the needs of the health care industry. Being an active member of HOSA for all four years of high school has been quite an experience.
I believe that Governors Honors Program is an amazing opportunity every student dreams of being a part of. Receiving a nomination, in and of itself, is an extreme compliment and achievement. Personally, I am very interested in the program because social sciences are a great passion of mine, and I would love to have the opportunity to further my knowledge and love of history. GHP also gives participants an early exposure to the college environment. It allows individuals to experience college in every aspect of living on campus to the actual college classes. In every single way, GHP is an amazing opportunity that I would be greatly honored to be a part of.
The human mind and behaviors are what interest me the most. That’s why I'm so passionate about helping others help themselves. The human service field is my home, the only place where I could see myself having an enjoyable career. I can't wait to branch out and put my education to use. Having a spirit as big as mines this is the perfect field for me to be going into and I can't wait for the day when I'm working as a mental health psychologist.
My work experience as a human services worker has developed in me a deep passion for liberty and justice. Later this month, I will graduate from SUNY Empire State with a Master's Degree in Social Policy. I enjoy doing research, and I am very adept at understanding and working with technology. I have the ability to teach and train others, both in a one-on-one and in a group
My passion that I have chosen to explore is helping people in subjects such as math. I chose this because I like to help people in any way I can. I will help people by tutoring third graders in subjects that they struggle in, most commonly math. I want to do this because it is something I know and understand being used to help people. The problem I have noticed is many elementary school kids have trouble understanding what their learning behind their homework and schoolwork.
Helping others is my greatest passion. It is what I want to do with my life. My career goal is to become a pediatrician. Helping children is what I like the most. It makes me feel accomplished and proud of myself.
My passion is to not only teach students in a creative and positive way that they are actually learning but also to inspire them to learn and make something great of themselves in their future. The reason being when I was younger I did not take my education that serious. If I would have known then how serious an education was, I feel that I could have accomplished more in middle and high school. After school I wouldn't care about actually learning about my homework. For this reason I want to inspire kids to want to learn at a young age and for them to see that their education and work ethic is very important even at their age. Most importantly I want my future students to want to learn.
