Bay Ridge is a neighborhood located in the southern part of Brooklyn. It is a neighborhood that is home to various different ethnicities as well as religions. Bay Ridge has been known to give a small town feeling within the big city of New York City. There have been several instances of different kinds of interactions that I have personally witnessed that has given this neighborhood that small town feeling. Even on the busiest of streets in Bay Ridge, there were personal social interactions that assimilated those in a small town. I found this area to be interesting because in a city as big and diverse as a New York City, you would not expect to a neighborhood of this size to give you a feeling of a small town.
