Welcome, to Worlds Of Fun on Halloween night. Worlds Of Fun is an amusement theme park in Kansas City. On Halloween they turn the tables from fun to horrifying. Their goal is to scare you greatly into submission so that we can't continue but, we continue anyways because of the thrills and the explosion of adrenaline it brings us. The amusement park in my eyes is one of the most horrifying in the world. I was raised through horror events ever since I was about 6. Horror is my theme, my passion. Horror is fascinating to me and helps me to understand true fear sometimes.
Worlds Of Fun on Halloween night is where all of our nightmares become reality. The smell in the air smells like rotten molten death but, also food of course. They fog up the entire "island" as they call their terrifying amusement park. When we travel to Worlds Of Fun, we can not run from the roller coasters. When we ride a roller coaster we will understand the thrill that involves us not seeing the ground. Most of the roller coasters just look like we're falling to our death and are never going to stop. Then, right at the last moment we receive a huge rush of wind, force, and adrenaline, then the ride is over. We try riding the Momba when we can't see the ground in the front row, it's AWESOME. We will understand the true meaning of what a roller coaster

The initial theme park even on Halloween is kid friendly but the haunted house vary for the kids. The of the first times I went to worlds of fun on Halloween was 7 years ago. There was a haunted house there that I walked through and the entire house was filled with fog, strobe lights, and people to scare me. I couldn't see 2 feet in front of your face. They had to come find me because I couldn't find my way out. Imagine being trapped in a room at age 11 with no one else there and I can not find anyone. I also can hearing screaming, evil laughing, and a chainsaw revving. It was
Every year millions of kids get dressed up, knock on doors, and beg for candy. With Halloween just around the corner, you all are probably wondering where this strange tradition came from. Every year I have experienced this holiday and have done research on this topic. According to a 2014 Smithsonian.com article, stated by Natasha Geiling, in just one year Americans spent over six billion dollars on candy, costumes, and ghoulish decor in anticipation for Halloween. Many people think all Halloween is about dressing up and going trick or treating but there's more to it than that. The roots and variations from all around are what makes Halloween what it is today. In order to understand this holiday, we will go into the history of Halloween, how it's celebrated around the world, and superstitions revolving it.
A roller coaster ride is a thrilling awesome experience which involves many energies in the roller coaster itself. The ride/roller coaster often begins as a chain and motor and once it's on the top gravity takes over. At the
We all remember dressing up for Halloween night as children. Getting together with best friends and competing to see who has the best costume or can collect the most candy. For some, this was the best night of the year. Then there are the children who sit at home and go through the motions of what their parents do. These parents inevitably will carve a generic looking pumpkin and then sit down and hand out candy to kids the remainder of the night. The children that are staying at home with their parents are handing out candy to the kids who are living and enjoying their Halloween. As Mac Hammond in “Halloween” stresses, the children that are out having fun on Halloween are the true
Introduction: Patrons of the season of Halloween spend over $2.5 billion dollars every year on candy, costumes, and decorations. Every year millions of kids get dressed up, knock on doors, and beg for candy. Have you ever wondered where this strange tradition originated? The three most important points of Halloween can be summed up by looking at its origins, how it came to include jack-o-lanterns and bobbing for apples, and how it is celebrated today with trick-or-treating and haunted houses.
On this day streets are filled with masked people in outrages colorful costumes. Feathers as well as gold, purple and green seem to be just about everywhere people look. Beads are thrown high into the air from elaborate creative floats while people try desperately to be the lucky ones who catch these festive beads. While confetti falls down from the sky and the bands march through the streets filling the city with music as the crowds of people dance. New Orleans, the city that lets the good times roll is where the biggest party in America, also known as Mardi Gras takes place.
St. Louis and Kansas City have been rival cities since they were founded. The City of St. Louis was founded in 1764 due to its location on the Mississippi River. Kansas City followed years later in 1853 on account of its location for trade at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers. The fierce rivalry between these two Missouri cities remains as heated as ever, as each city competes for residents and tourists. St. Louis provides its residents a more comfortable way of life than Kansas City, as can be seen by comparing athletics, crime rates, food, and tourism.
Roller coasters are the bomb. Would people still enjoy amusement parks if they knew the danger of them? Roller coasters cause deaths and severe injuries. In one year, there’s 350 injuries on roller coasters. It’s like an injury a day! Now, it’s much rarer, because the technology is safer, but there’s always a slight risk. Inspectors notice that most injuries or deaths are from rides over twenty years old. One coaster is less than 10 years old. Amusement parks are fun, but can be life threatening.
About some of the rides. One of the rides i went on is steel venom. I am never going on that ride ever again because i have a fear of heights and it goes really high into the air. Another ride that i hate was the stupid power tower. I hate heights and i went on it with my dad and it
One such activity is the immense and thrill evoking Six Flags St. Louis. Six Flags is a giant theme park that allows customers to enjoy roller coasters, ferris wheels, food, drinks, and games. The park has rides that can accommodate any type of interest in rides a person may exhibit. Halloween, a holiday many of us know and love. A day when we celebrate together with our friends, family, neighbors and community. We go from door to door collecting candy, sweets and much more, racing on who can approach the most houses or who can collect the most candy in the group. It is all fun and games when trick or treating, and it has evolved into so much more than from the past. As years pass by, we celebrate this holiday annually, but of everything we’ve taken in from being children through our teen and adult years, do we truly know the background of Halloween Day?
Also there are limits that the district is spot on, like they don't want anyone to wear extremely terrifying costumes to school, as a result of someone calling the police. This is totally understandable that this shouldn't be allowed, but not being able to be a character and not have heavy makeup on is a little over the line. A girl or guy should be able to have some purple lipstick on or a smokey eye, that won't distract anyone from learning. Being able to dress and show who you truly are is the definition of Halloween. Sandra Belle also agrees, she says, “This doesn’t seem like it may be a good idea to me, it completely ruins the meaning of Halloween. Kids enjoy Halloween because they can show what they like by dressing up like what they like. Halloween has been a tradition for kids all over, and should not be restricted. There are limits on how short dresses and skirts should be on costumes though.” What Sandra says is one hundred percent correct at this point, we were all born to be able to express ourselves. It's Halloween, it is suppose to be scary! What's the point if the districts are taking every teens imagination away to a point where everyone will be dull and boring in the next 20 years. These high schools should not take the enjoyment away from us, halloween is the entire point to be scary. How does the districts define their Halloween, because taking scary away from this holiday is just
What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word “Halloween”? Most people would respond with costumes. According to history.com, however, the tradition of dressing up only started a couple hundred years ago. This tradition has both European and Celtic roots. It was believed that on Halloween, ghosts would come back to the earthly world.
Borrowing from Irish and English traditions, Americans began to dress up in costumes and go house to house asking for food or money. Over time this tradition turned in to today modern “trick or treating”. In the late 1800s, America turned Halloween into a holiday more about community and neighborly get-togethers than about ghosts, and witchcraft. As the centuries changed Halloween parties for both children and adults became the most common way to celebrate the day. Parties focused on games, foods of the season and festive costumes. Parents were encouraged by newspapers and community leaders to take anything “frightening” or “grotesque” out of Halloween celebrations. Because of these efforts, Halloween lost most of its superstitious and religious overtones by the beginning of the twentieth century (Kammen).
Individuals love to go to the amusement parks and try out the rides that are available. The most common and thrilling ride is the roller coaster. An amusement park is not an amusement park if it does not contain a roller coaster. What makes these roller coasters so fun that every amuse parks has one. A lot of people would say it is their extreme high speeds that makes it very exciting. That is a valid answer, but it is the wrong answer. The speed has nothing to do with the excitement. It is more than likely that most people travel faster on their ride along the highway on the way to the amusement park than they would in a roller coaster. Basically the thrill all comes from the acceleration and the feeling of weightlessness that they
