Hero Is A Hero

Hero’s come in many different perspectives. Some might view a hero as the fictional super heroes. Other’s consider hero’s to be modern day people. Some qualities of a hero are someone who is courageous, brave, and kind. A hero is a person who is admired for their courageous acts and achievements. They never give up even when times get hard. It’s more about the hero taking a stand for what they believe is right. Taking a stand counts more than winning.

“A hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.” ~ Maya Angelou. Hero’s come from all different shapes, sizes, cultures, and ages. They don’t have any superpowers or special abilities, but the can reach the heart of others and inspire them with their stories. They grow out of their hardships or help others who have difficulty growing out of their own. Hero’s see everyone as like minded people, instead of focusing on each other’s differences. Three ideas that define a hero are humility, mindset, and selflessness.

To be a hero can can be defined in many ways. Heros are usually associated with courage, fearlessness, noble qualities, outstanding achievements, and a kind heart. These traits are what make up an ideal contributor to society helping those in need. The word hero can have a different meaning for cultures and religions. Osama Bin Laden may be considered a hero to the radical islams but he is a horrible human being to the rest of the world. It all depends on the views of the people.

What makes a hero? Saving a puppy from a burning building? Or what about being a single mother raising three kids and working two jobs? Both of these could be good candidates for heroes since they both possess the characteristic of strength—not just physical strength, but mental strength. This is one of the most important traits of a hero but it is not the only one. Courage, intelligence, and morality are also necessary in order to really get penciled in to the “hero” category. Being a hero also means doing what’s right almost all the time, even when no one is looking. They will help people even if they don't get anything for doing it. Heroes will never try or make the situation worse. Secondly a hero is someone who tries to understand emotionally what you are going through. They will not just try to help you because they are getting something in return. Lastly a hero is someone who puts other before themselves. They will fight for other peoples benefit, they will not take false credit for solving a problem but actually not solve it, and they will try to fix it as much as they possibly

Everyone has their own opinion on what qualities a hero should have. A hero should be someone who is humble, who does not help others for publicity but because that is what their heart desires. There are many types of heroes, they come in all shapes, sizes, genders and race. Heroes should be someone who has impacted the lives of others and is someone everyone admires.

A hero is defined as a person, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. What is your perception of a hero? Is it a “hero” from the movies, like spiderman or batman? The idea of heroism is widespread and many opinions arise from the concept. A hero is someone who goes out of their way for another’s well being. Calvin Coolidge, a writer, once said, “Heroism is not only in the man, but in the occasion.” (Brainy quote). For one to actually be a hero, one must take the opportunity at any occasion. Heroism occurs often in the real world, many examples are established in novels, and there are many different opinions among the theory of heroism, but in reality the only real meaning is one who helps

Maya Angelou once said, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people”. The Cambridge Dictionary defines a hero as, a person admired for bravery, great achievements, or good qualities. A hero is not a follower of people, does not sit around being lazy, and is not unwise about making decisions. There are three characteristics which I would use to analyze a hero; leadership, passion, and sage.

Philip Zimbardo states “ to be a hero is means you step across the line and are willing to make a sacrifice, so heroes always are making a sacrifice. Heroes always take a risk. Heroes always deviant. Heroes always doing something that most people don't and we want to change - I want to democratize heroism to say any of us can be a hero.” This quote describes what a hero is and what they do. A person who works hard and fights for what they believe is right are heroic. They have to overcome challenges and keep pushing forward. These individuals have to be determined to persevere over these obstacles. A hero must be altruistic, they have to help others without expecting anything in return and risk it all to do what they believe is right. It does not matter who you are but what you do. Heroes are people who stand up for what they believe in when no one else take action. An individual who is defined as hero must be altruistic, be able to persevere over challenges, and have determination to fight for what they believe in.

I believe that a hero is someone who never gives up, is selfless, always stays positive, and remains hopeful in the hardest of times to be hopeful in. They are kind to all they meet, no matter the person. They are brave when things get a little scary. They are willing to sacrifice whatever they have to make sure the job gets done, and they have confidence in doing it. They are role models in every aspect, and anybody who knows them would strive to be like them in any way possible.

A hero can be anyone. A hero does not have to be a super hero that is on TV or in the movies. A hero can be anyone who is admired for his or her courage and outstanding achievements. A hero can be a parent, a family member, a friend, or even a doctor. A hero is a person who comes into another persons life to help and encourage the other person. The hero can have a significant effect on any person. They could have helped a person when he or she was having a hard time or they saved them from an accident. A hero is a being who is recognized and idolized for his or her traits, achievements, and values. A hero is the character who chooses to do good rather than evil, often sacrificing of himself to help others. Heroes can be any form and type

A hero is powerful, strong, and will have the heart to do what is right. A hero is never selfish and will be generous to others all around them. They will be willing to do the right thing and stand up for what is right even if they are doing it alone. Heroes are almost always remembered for something they did and in some way their name gets remembered and their legacy of a good example. ¨The legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example.¨(Benjamin Disraeli).

Every person has a different image pop up in their head when they think about what a hero is. With a vast amount of reasons for why someone should be qualified as a hero. Most people choose a  person who makes them believe they are capable of anything just by what they could accomplish. A hero should be someone you look up to and are impressed by all they have and can do.  That is why my hero is Deborah Speer (my mom), her accomplishments inspire me everyday.

I think that a hero is a person who would spend time helping or saving people who need help. The traits of a hero should be Happiness (Joy), Bravery, Courage , Curious (To walk into the unknown), Anyone can be a hero in their own way.

When the word "hero" is spoken, everyone has different thoughts. Some will think of super powers like flying and saving people from villains; while others have a certain person they know or have heard of that come to mind who have done something to make a difference in the lives of others but who is a hero to you? To answer this question you must first ask yourself what a hero is; what comes to your mind when someone says the word. When I am confronted with these questions I always have the same thoughts; smart, strong will power, and someone who stands up for what they believe is right.
