Heroism: From First Responders To Athletes

A hero is an person who can help through good times and bad times. My hero is a 3rd baseman for the Chicago Cubs, kris Bryant.

Heroes come in all sizes, shapes, genders, and backgrounds. Heroes can be defined by many different standards and are people of great character, who spend their lives doing what they can to help others in need. Everyone has his or her favorite hero, my favorite hero is one that is little known but to me is a true inspiration. My hero is Rolf Benirschke. He is my hero for the courage, inspiration, and help that his words provided me when I was recovering from lifesaving surgery.

Heroes are individuals who perform extraordinary deeds, thinks about others before themselves, and make sacrifices for others. They are selfless, bold leaders, and have a lot of perseverance. A hero stands for what they believe in and have made or are making a significant impact on history. An example of a hero was George Washington because he was one of the founding fathers of America.

Dictionary.com defines hero as a person noted for courageous acts or nobility of character. When someone uses the word “hero,” I think of a person who has done something courageous. Specifically, I automatically think of veterans and the men and women overseas fighting for our freedom. I could never imagine enlisting in the military, but people put their lives on the line everyday to fight for our freedom. Moreover, I think of someone who has won the Medal of Honor. The Medal of Honor is a distinguished award only presented to a person who went above and beyond the call of duty through some act of bravery. In conclusion, the word “hero” makes me think of someone who went above and beyond what was asked of them through some act of bravery

A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.

One person that I would classify as being a hero would be Oprah Winfrey. The reason for this is because over the years, Oprah Winfrey has donated millions of dollars to others. One time she donated over 7 Million to a school in Africa so the kids can get an education. She also has created the Oprah’s Angel Network and donated over 80 million to nonprofit organizations around the world. Oprah is a true hero; she is always giving to the poor and needy all around the world without question.

An example for a hero would be a, FireFighter or a Doctor, and The Police. FireFighters put out a house on fire or a building and they even get you out of there safely, They also make sure you’re okay by giving you oxegen. Police make sure you are at safety and save you from any harm or child predators. They also help you if you if you are lost and need help finding your way home.

What is a hero? Well everybody has a different definition but one key trait all heros have is bravery. On hero that carries this trait is a president. Presidents not only stand up in front of a lot of people during speeches but also have control over the united states of america. Another hero is a soldier, they risk their lives every day to protect our country. Heros don’t only need to be in real life they can also be in books, like dallas winston from the outsiders.

When I think of a hero, I picture someone who is unselfish. This person could be a surgeon that saves lives, or maybe just your best friend telling you not to give up when you feel like you failed. That person makes you feel cared for. A hero is someone who helps others, and is there for you when you need it most.

In times of need, there’s always a divide. Those who choose to help others at any cost and those who choose to ignore others’ strife. Acts of heroes and acts of bystanders occur each day. A hero is someone who thinks positively in dire situations and connects with others through empathy during times of trouble.

Heroes are very special people, and I have some of my own. After doing interviews on my mom and grandma, I discovered that we all have a different definition of ‘hero’ but a hero is important to each of us. For example, my grandma thinks a hero is someone who lives what they believe, and my mom thinks a hero is someone who is selfless, puts others before them, and always does the right thing.

What is a hero? A hero can be a lot of things. My definition of a hero is not a fictional character like ‘Superman’ or ‘Wonder Woman’, a hero to me is simply one being that commits countless, or even one single act of bravery that is fueled by extreme love or friendship. For example, to me, my mother is my biggest hero. She is a hero to me because no matter the circumstance or the situation, she has never failed to be there for me and help me when I am in need. My mom is a single mom that goes out of her way every single day to provide for me, to make sure that I always have the best of everything, and most importantly, to keep a roof over my head, and food on our table. In today's day and age, heroes are necessary. Today in Texas a historical tropical storm has left families and government in distress with over 10 feet of floods a day. The state issued a state of emergency and asked people to come and help to people who could not escape and the next hours a whole fleet

A hero can be someone who saves lives, someone who teaches valuable lessons, someone who makes good choices that will affect others in a positive way, or someone who encourages others to do great things.

A hero is someone who risks, or risked, their lives everyday for someone other than themselves. My hero is my dad. My dad has been there for me since I was born. He has been at my soccer games, softball games, track meets, and cross-country meets. But what makes my dad a superhero is that he is in the air force. That means that he risks his life for other people everyday just by going to work.
