During the time that I spent in labor force I was able to work with numerous of people in various fields of work. When I first read this assignment, I knew exactly who I wanted to interview. Indeed, out of all the people I’ve worked alongside with, none made an impression on me quite as much as my former manager Maria from H&R Block. Her commitment, friendliness and work ethic were nothing short of extraordinary. She was the first and only thought that came into my mind when I thought of who to interview for this assignment.

Some people in this world, such as women are underestimated, especially in mathematics, but the history of this subject isn’t exclusively male. There once was a lady named Hypatia of Alexandria who was a female mathematician and philosopher. Not many people have information about her family life. That situation is not uncommon for this time period (not having any family background). The goal of Hezbollah was to separate Israel from Lebanon and create an Islamic state. Hezbollah has attacked Israel countless times and they also fought in Lebanon’s civil war from 1975-1990. The Ta’if agreement ended the war and this is when Hezbollah became a top leader in politics. In 1992 the group was granted eight seats in the parliament. The group has big support from Iran and Syria, which has kept them protected.

Many might not know what a Sherpa is or how important they are when it comes to climbing Mt. Everest. The Sherpas, whose name converts to “Easterners” are usually in the environment of the mountainous Solukhumbu region of eastern Nepal, which is also home to the Sagarmatha National Park and to Mount Everest. Sherpa’s are very hard working, experienced, highly skilled climbers. Their jobs consist of preparing the routes for the foreign climbers so that they can follow them. Also, fix the ropes for the climbers which means putting them into places and carry the necessary materials (climbing kit) up the mountains. The therapist will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support Athena in defining significant concepts about herself in combination with her automatic thinking patterns. Climbing to the highest peak of a mountain is not so easy, especially if it’s Mt. Everest. An easier way to climb Everest would be with a Sherpa. A sherpa is a person who is used to being at high altitudes. He or she helps one carry their luggage, for example climbing gear, tents, ropes and sometimes they carry unnecessary luxury like espresso machines or heated carpets. Since sherpas are strong enough at high altitudes they carry these things for one. This makes it easier for the climber to climb the mountain without any complications. Although getting a sherpa is very expensive this will help one by being guided through the mountain. Having a sherpa does not secure one will return back.
