“My high school career has been busy. A positive of it being busy is that life never gets boring, but a negative to me always being busy is that sometimes I want to take it slow and relax," says Kenton Stover, son of Ken and Amy Stover. When Kenton does get time to relax, he enjoys doing Powersports mechanics, hunting, fishing, hanging out with his girlfriend, and being free in this great country. Kenton is involved in FFA, FCCLA, he is the chapter president of Skills USA, he is the senior class historian, and Stover attends Votec at State Fair Community College studying building trades; Kenton also plays baseball and basketball.
Kenton's greatest high school accomplishments were being the first Skills USA district officer from State
I have several notable accomplishments, most of them are of academics. Some of the awards/accomplishments that I can recall ever since I was in middle school are: First position on spelling contest, department award for the most Helpful student, Student of the quarter, Presidential award for educational excellence (Gold Seal), 4.0 Honor roll, Indian Classical dance, Achieve3000 state winner, department award for “Excellence in English Language Acquisition,” and Academic Excellence Lettering Award. Among all these awards and recognition, I consider Achieve3000 to be the greatest because it was a state level competition and was moderately competitive to win. In the Achieve3000 program, basically, an individual has to compete with the students
All throughout school, students are ask what we want to be when we grow up. Many of us know or have a pretty good idea, but others have no clue what they want to pursue as a career in life, whether it be furthering their education at a university or attending a technical school. There are other students that plan to start work right out of high school. Either way we all have a plan, and the purpose of this paper is to inform you of mine. I personally struggle in making big decisions like deciding what to do with my life, but then I realized I have been asking myself the wrong questions. Instead of asking what I want to be when I grow up, I asked myself what do I want out of life? what are some of my goals that I wish to achieve? This led
I am one of three children in my family,I have two younger brothers , one of them who is fifteen and another other one is twelve . I live with both of my parents who didn’t have the opportunity to get very far in their education. At the ages of 14 they had to leave home to work in an unknown city to help support their other parents and other nine or ten siblings. Thankfully the path has been different for me and my brothers who have had the opportunity to get the best education possible. and i will proudly be the first High School Graduate in both sides of my families .
With a year full of hurdles I was set to overcome, senior year did not seem like the right time for me to defeat my dragon. My introverted qualities have grown tremendously over the course of my life due to traumatic events I have been forced to face on my own. Since adolescence, I have always been known as the “quiet girl” in the room. I always took this as a compliment, until recently, when I realized I was missing out on crucial events that would help prepare me for the future. Through careful consideration, I decided that senior year would be the ideal time to slay my dragon, introversion.
As a freshman in high school, I had the worst grades in Biology, English and Math. I was struggling in English and Biology because of my poor English-language skills. I was new to the United States, and that made the transition difficult. However in math I was just being lazy and I did not want to put in the effort needed to get a decent grade.
There’s four main seasons that occur throughout the year. I’ve always loved the saying “like the seasons we change.” When I hear this saying I like to think of a tree; how it can go from being a little sprout, to small tree with only branches, to being so full of life with colors and leaves everywhere. This tree withstands the scorching hot summers, the brutal cold winters and all of what is in between. This tree stands strong and continues to grow and mature through it all. I would compare myself to this tree as I have grown, and matured as well. Throughout my four years of high school I’ve changed just like the seasons.
As I sat down to write this essay, I reflected on all of my achievements during my high school years at Holy Trinity Academy, and what most accurately demonstrates my leadership skills. The most prominent leadership goal that I achieved was through my involvement in Student Council.
According to Nadeem et al research study (2012), at the point when nervousness builds, scholastic accomplishment diminishes in both male and female understudies. On the other hand, Dobson (2012) research suggests that anxiety can be limited if tended to at an early age. Diminishing nervousness levels in students is vital for making a difference to expand scholarly accomplishment. Students of all scholastic accomplishment levels experience the ill effects of scholarly nervousness. Indeed, even students who do well on classwork and homework can experience the ill effects of test nervousness and do inadequately on tests. Meager scholastic execution can expand uneasiness levels. Talented students who are sticklers can experience the ill effects
I don’t have many interesting achievements at this point in my life. I’ve never been actively involved in any clubs or sports. I’ve never had a real job or played an active role in my community. Despite my apparent laziness, I really want the next couple of years to be a learning experience that will allow me to atone for my past mistakes. My high school career is almost over, and the end came much faster than I ever expected. In the next two years I will leave my high school self behind, and try my best become a responsible adult, who is ready to face whatever challenges I may face in higher education and beyond.
After examining, history, income, and schooling, it is clear that to strive to be a lawyer would be an excellent goal after high school. Lawyers have always been very important throughout history, have very high income, and require a lot of schooling. Becoming a lawyer would be a great career to get into.
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I aimed for something
One in-school accomplishment is that I am currently taking Geometry and Advanced Language Arts. These two classes each only comprise 8% of my grade, so most people do not have both classes. Another in-school accomplishment is that I have been in the district’s gifted and talented program since 4th grade. On the other hand, I also have various out-of-school accomplishments. I have been part of the Gifted Child Society since I was 5. Next year, I am working as a CIT at their summer camp. I also participate in archery outside of school, and am currently doing a Youth League.
Education is it all that it's worked up to be? Is knowing the amount of chromosomes you have truly necessary for all students who attend high-school? This may show as if the student were going to be a doctor or go into any part of the medical field. But even then does that little bit of knowledge truly make or break their chance at being successful I don’t think so but.
David is a student who embraces the idea of making the most of a high school career. He is well rounded with a myriad of interests and abilities. A student who does not sit back or just go through the motions, David makes a point of getting involved. Not afraid of trying something new, David has involved himself with sports, community, employment, and hobbies along with academics. I admire David’s ability to juggle the many facets of his busy life. It is refreshing to see David face everything with a positive attitude and determination, but not forgetting to have fun along the way.
There are many significant in your life. From being born to your first step to going to school. There are life milestones but milestones are so much more than just a moment. Milestones are what make your life up, where you take a minute and say, "Wow I actually did this.” For me, one of my biggest milestones was high school graduation. It wasn't the actual graduation itself, but the meaning underneath and what it meant for me for the rest of my life. Not only was I growing older and moving on with my entire environment changed. Graduation marked the end of a chapter in my book with some people and continues new ones with others. I will never forget Graduation day. I remember the morning with yelling and having to get ready, the evening with the actual graduation, and the night when it was all said and done.
