As soon as students begin their high school careers, colleges are looking for who will meet the requirements set to be accepted into college. Tulsa Community College specifically requires current high school students to make a certain score on each section of the ACT so they may take college courses while still in high school. For that reason, I took the ACT for the first time just after my sophomore year, hoping to score high enough for concurrent enrollment. Being a concurrent student allows me to receive college credit so that I may have more time for sports or extracurricular activities when I am an actual college student. My main goal is to major in music then have a career in the music industry. The music industry is a difficult career

In my years after my High School Graduation, and into my college life, I have many goals set in mind for what I want to achieve. My first goal is to graduate from high school finishing with a 4.0 as one of the valedictorians. I wish to continue working very hard in these last two quarters of school. After graduation, I want to attend Bluffton University and study Nursing for four years. I think that getting a nursing degree fits my personality well and that I will highly enjoy that career in my lifetime. I will pursue my Track and Field career there as well, and plan to improve my skills.

Working during high school helps students become more self-reliant as they realize the benefits of working. Furthermore, working while in high school builds the student’s interest in the career they want to pursue. During my high school career my counselor urged me to apply for the Prince George's County / Community College Concurrent / Dual Enrollment because she saw that I was excelling in my Advanced Placement classes and general classes quarterly. The program allowed me to take college courses before/after my high school began/ended daily. Every morning, I found myself waking up earlier than the average high school student, preparing for my 8am Psychology and Spch 101 classes. I found myself studying for midterms and final exams while the average high school student was preparing for prom. Also, I was one of the 7 in 33 students in my Advanced Placement English class who passed the Advanced Placement Exam which awarded me 3 college credits and waived the requirement of enrolling in English 102.
During my high school career, I have been involved in numerous activities. One of my favorite and most impactful activity was FFA. I have participated in many career development events and have competed successfully on the state level. I have been a team member of the state winning Ag Issues and Parliamentary Procedure team. Also, I have won the state Prepared Public Speaking contest as well as earning a national semi-finalist title. In addition, I have achieved leadership positions. I have served as my chapter’s Reporter and a mentored Agriculture 1 students. Another pivotal activity that I have participated in is 4-H. During 10 years of membership, I have served as my club’s Reporter, Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. Six of my static
Every high school student becomes anxious when waiting for that day to graduate but as graduation gets closer we become more worried on what we will do next and how we will pursue our career out there in the real world. Senior year is about applying to any colleges or universities that will judge you based on how you did throughout your high school years. In addition, the career i'm going to pursue when I graduate and leave high school is in the criminology and criminal justice studies. With a bachelor in criminology and criminal justice I have a variety of jobs I can pick out of. My first choice is to become a customs and border protection officer because I want to protect what enters the U.S. and to keep terrorist from entering. My second
On January 22, 2001, I was born at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. My family and I traveled around for about a year and a half of my life before settling down in Augusta, Georgia. We stayed in Georgia until I finished preschool, then we moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. The first several years living in Greensboro were typical until I reached middle school. In my early years of school, I was the kid who was always so sprightly but when I reached sixth grade that momentum shifted. I let procrastination bury me alive in addition to my low self-esteem leading me into sadness. The only form of serenity during middle school was music. Music rejuvenated my state of mind and permitted me to be happier. Immensely being involved in the choral program at the middle school majorly contributed to my happiness. I received high honors while being in the program that paved my high school choral career to be astounding. However, my academic high school career did not quite meet the same expectations.
A decision that will last a lifetime my parents had to make was a name between Alexis and Malori. I was four days away from being Alexis. I am Malori Kristine VonTobel and active within the school. I participate in Sunshine Society, Student Council, Pep Club, Knitting Club, Drama Club, volleyball, cheerleading, and swimming. Being this active and still having time to complete my senior project shows how determined I am with anything I do.

Expectations are kept high for me because my parents want me to succeed in all I do. Graduating from high school, I hope to attend college and i will be the first in my family to do so. Each year high school age students are faced with many tough decisions regarding their futures. One of the toughest decisions they will have to make is what to do after high school. Many high school students will choose to begin college after graduation, while some will choose to enter the workforce immediately, and others may choose to drop out of high school and enter the workforce with out graduating. There is a real need for students to receive career development counseling and interventions during their high school educations. This will help to set them up for success in their career and education choices leading into adulthood. High school counselors will be taxed with many roles related to the design and implementation of these programs
Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I’m not quite sure if it was because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to everyone else. Maybe there’s just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not make these mistakes again.

8:00 am. Get to class, don't make eye contact, sit down quietly, participate only when necessary. These are the actions taken by a freshman straight out of high school, just about two weeks after her graduation, to fit in to a totally new community. Coming from an all girls school in the upper east side, Berkeley College was and, sometimes still is, a culture shock. My high school only had approximately 200 girls overall and I graduated with only a class of 36 girls, even a class size too small for that school, but Berkeley College has however many campuses stocked with people. But high school was high school and this is college. It’s time for me to grow up, mature, and take responsibility for my own establishment in this world, but how?
I am a penny hoarder because I’ve worked every summer since I have started high school. My very first job was working in my grandfather’s company cleaning the offices every week. This job has taught me the importance of responsibility, and encouraged me to go out and find another job. After two years, I was hired at the local park district to work first hand with young girls, teaching them discipline, skills, and teamwork through the sport of cheerleading. This was my favorite job all throughout high school because I love working with kids, but unfortunately you can only be in high school to be a coach, so I did this for two years. My last year of high school I worked at a different park district at a summer camp where I created activities
