“I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday”- Jose N. Harris. As I transition from junior high school, I realize the importance of creating short and long term goals. It is necessary to set goals because if you don’t set them you don’t work to achieve anything, and just do anything you want.. In this essay I will reflect on my experiences in middle school and my current academic and personal situations in high school. I will outline my academic and personal goals for high school and discuss my future college and career interests.
First, in junior high I did pretty well in all of my classes, I always got honor roll except one of the eight quarters throughout junior high. For example, I got good grades because I would always work really hard even when I didn’t want to, because I set goals. There were not many issues I had to overcome on transitioning to high school and after school activities besides all of the practices for color guard. For example, we have a six hour practice and one three hour practice per week. And there are not any things I would do different now because my life isnt perfect but, it’s pretty great.

Some challenges I see accomplishing is not getting into the college I want to get into or not getting good grades could be the cause of that. My plan for success is to look at the requirements. A particular area of interest I have is either a designer, or maybe a teacher. My personal goals during high school are to make varsity color guard, graduate with good grades, and to get accepted into the college I
When I was a little girl, I would always dream of being those famous celebrities on television. But I did not grew a desire for that. As I grew more and experience more things in life, I start having a desire of being a pediatrician. I also have a desire to travel the world and live in Atlanta for the rest of my life.
I describe myself as a hardworking and determined student. I have many goals that I want to accomplish, and some are short-term goals such as graduating with a 4.0 gpa or higher from high school and become president for at least one of the clubs I am in. Other goals I have are long-term goals such as my goal of going and graduating college, and becoming a doctor as my future career.
“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths,” (Walt Disney). The overview of my Junior year in high school was, I believe, the best school year so far both in academic and my personal achievements. As a person I had a major growth, I become more active in school in which was a huge step for me, and academically, well I’ve never seen so many A’s since Freshmen year, well that is if I examine only second semester but overall I felt that my grades were better than last year. This year I became a person who is more open-minded, one who sees the outside world, my mind has opened a door which helped me find the inner me that was stuck in for the past 2 years of high school like if I were a bud that has finally opened. I shockley impressed at myself, willing to accept any new challenges this year which truly helped me become a better person in education and personally.
Every year, around 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States. I do not plan to be included in this statistic my senior year. Although going through high school can be very stressful at times, there are certain aspects that must be addressed first to ensure success. I will try my best this senior year to graduate, pursue higher learning, and plan for my future. Even though I have many expectations to accomplish before I graduate, these goals are the most important as of right now.
Goals are important to peoples everyday lives. Goals for high school, personal life, goals for your job, and goals for the future are important to our everyday lives towards the future. I’m Hailey Anderson, I’m a determined person that is not afraid to fail and then learn from it. My goals in my life is to focus on my education, improving my bowling skills, and find different ways to strengthen my short term memory loss. Goals in high school are good because you can focus on making goals, which can let you get to what you want to do in the future.
Throughout a person's life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of up and downs used to be related especially towards my social/high school life.Everybody has goals and dreams they set for themselves, but they don't always try to achieve them. People might try to, but they sometimes will have obstacles in their way, stopping them. The only thing to do is overcome the obstacles. I have many obstacles I have to overcome and accomplish in order to achieve this dream. My first obstacle will be to do well in my classes at my highschool and after graduation, apply to college. I know l have to study and work extremely hard to accomplish this goal. Since there
My senior year of high school will be filled with numerous decisions and new experiences. There are many things I would enjoy accomplishing before the end of my high school career. In order to achieve my goals, I will need to plan ahead. Setting goals is vital in providing motivation to attain them. The three goals I set for myself this year are meeting new people, traveling to places I have never been, and deciding what college I want to attend.
First of all hello, I’m currently a high school senior planning to attend college in the fall. Goals are described as an aim or a desired result, but they're more than that, they can change a person's life. A goal gives a person hope for the future. Right now I’m going to graduate from high school and the next huge step I’ll take is go to college. Continuing my education and becoming successful in my profession. Being able to cross off my goals one by one
Stepping on to my high school’s campus for the first time, I felt a little nervous, a bit excited and very clueless. I rushed to my friends who were conveniently standing near the entrance; almost as to feel safe. The transition from middle school to high school meant very much to me. I entered high school knowing that it was my chance to finally work towards reaching my goal of attending college; it was the chance life had privileged me with. Looking back it all now, It was a change I didn't feel prepared for, yet, I regret very little and glad I worked as hard as I did.
My goal for all these high school years is to get my high school diploma and degree.
My first goal for this school year is to get my ... stuff together, first and foremost. This is ridiculous, honestly i should be done or at least in my senior year but instead, i am a junior with 8 credits. Like... ew, thats not acceptable nor cute. I thought the more people you surround yourself around the easier it would be to pass, i don't know where i got that from but i believed that, faithfully. This year I am going to do things a little differently. I will have a very small very tight circle of friends, not even friends just associates really. Stay to myself and get my work done. I mean it shouldn't be that hard seeing i don't really care about other people that much let alone there lives, i don't like parties, and I am not a fan of large crowds. So staying to myself and knocking my classes out shouldn't be hard, seeing i don't really do anything else with my time
My goals for my high school career vary from year to year. or my freshman year, I plan to just survive and figure out how high school works. Going to a new school is tough enough for me, but in the past I have had little to no interaction with kids from other grades. Now, with the majority of my classes being ones with sophomores in them, it is all the more hectic, not to mention the halls. When I become a sophomore, I will focus on the more social aspect of school. Not in the form of chatting with my peers, of course, but more so in extra-curricular activities. I don't plan on finding much, but whatever I do find will be a benefit. Along with this, I plan on working on my issues with anxiety and general nervousness. I will be working on this throughout my school years, but I will focus on it as a
In middle school, I was like any modest student. I would strive to achieve the goals that I was aiming for. I earned the grades that I asked for, but something was not adequate. My friends and family didn't detect it, but they would later on. It all went underway in eighth grade. I would be with my friends almost everyday after school. We would gather at the recreation center right across from the middle school. The recreation center is one of those places where people all ages go. There are basketball courts, a soccer field, beach volleyball pit, a park and countless other things. One day, I was not my normal self. While everyone else was playing I sat there on my phone with a frown on my face.
My goals in high school and at the university level are easier said than done. However, the most important goal I have is to get a 3.8 or higher in each level. Another academic goal I have in mind is to never get a C or lower on any test, because I know this program will be difficult and I’m not expecting to get an A+ on every test. One last goal I have mind is to never to get below a C in any class, because I have a feeling that if I get a C in a class my grade will go below that quickly and I would never want a D or F even if it were the most difficult class on the planet.
When I graduate high school there are some goals and desires that I would like to have. Some of these goals are big and some of the goals are small. Most of the goals I have set for myself I would like to achieve in the early stages after I graduate high school. I would also like to have my desires by the time I’m I turn thirty. We all these goals and desires I want I realize that there are going to be some bumps down the road and it’s not always going to be smooth sailing.
