My goals for my high school career vary from year to year. or my freshman year, I plan to just survive and figure out how high school works. Going to a new school is tough enough for me, but in the past I have had little to no interaction with kids from other grades. Now, with the majority of my classes being ones with sophomores in them, it is all the more hectic, not to mention the halls. When I become a sophomore, I will focus on the more social aspect of school. Not in the form of chatting with my peers, of course, but more so in extra-curricular activities. I don't plan on finding much, but whatever I do find will be a benefit. Along with this, I plan on working on my issues with anxiety and general nervousness. I will be working on this throughout my school years, but I will focus on it as a …show more content…
As a junior, the subject of work will come into play. I believe that this will be the simplest of my goals, as there are many resources at the high school for this type of thing. In the last year of my high school course, I will do the majority of my college planning. I plan to have found a suitable college by this time, but I will likely have to orient myself into the position of freshman in college. Mainly, being able to go where I like to some extent, living without family, and taking classes that have many more than thirty people in them. However, no where in this sheet have I talked about my academics. In my mind, a 3.75 GPA is the bottom line for my grades, from now until college, where it ma be subject to change. In middle school, I was not as concerned with my grades. I understood that they were important, yes, but teenage angst tends not to care about what is deemed important in favor of laziness and self-pity. This needs to change for me, now more than ever. On a less important note, one of my goals this year is to throw myself wholeheartedly into writing
For me, thinking about high school is not that scary. I'm actually really excited for my future in high school as I didn’t have a good experience in grade 8. By the end of high school, my goal is to get at least 75% and over in all my subjects. I want to leave high school knowing that I improved more and more each year. Another goal of mine is that by the end of high school I wish to have a proper understanding of wht I want to do in my future. Its important for me to be happy with what I choose to do in my future because if you make a decision with thinking it fully through and not being committed with what you choose, it can ruin your future. My last goal is to leave high school being proud of everything ive done. That’s really important
All throughout school, students are ask what we want to be when we grow up. Many of us know or have a pretty good idea, but others have no clue what they want to pursue as a career in life, whether it be furthering their education at a university or attending a technical school. There are other students that plan to start work right out of high school. Either way we all have a plan, and the purpose of this paper is to inform you of mine. I personally struggle in making big decisions like deciding what to do with my life, but then I realized I have been asking myself the wrong questions. Instead of asking what I want to be when I grow up, I asked myself what do I want out of life? what are some of my goals that I wish to achieve? This led
My educational goals is to complete high school get my diploma, go to college for my bachelor degree in business. After I get my bachelors degree I plan to get my masters in business. My career goal is to open a business a year and a half after college. I want to work for a company or business, that a woman built from scratch. I want to see how she made it, and what techniques I can learn from watching her. How long it took her to get where she is today. In my future I plan to get my business off the ground, and not have to live paycheck to paycheck. I seen my mom and stepdad, and whole family do that my whole life live like that and it is not a good feeling to have or see. Them struggle to make ends meet sometimes. I want money to put back
While in high school I plan to maintain a 3.5 GPA or greater while staying involved and prospering in the sports and activities I practice. In the winter I plan to go to State in Knowledge bowl and go to State and possibly the National DECA tournament as well. The success in these activities will lead colleges and companies to be more attracted to me so I can later get jobs easier and get scholarships to reduce college debt later. While in high school I am also planning to establish a free speech organization to promote overall knowledge and understanding of others while
Every high school student becomes anxious when waiting for that day to graduate but as graduation gets closer we become more worried on what we will do next and how we will pursue our career out there in the real world. Senior year is about applying to any colleges or universities that will judge you based on how you did throughout your high school years. In addition, the career i'm going to pursue when I graduate and leave high school is in the criminology and criminal justice studies. With a bachelor in criminology and criminal justice I have a variety of jobs I can pick out of. My first choice is to become a customs and border protection officer because I want to protect what enters the U.S. and to keep terrorist from entering. My second
As soon as students begin their high school careers, colleges are looking for who will meet the requirements set to be accepted into college. Tulsa Community College specifically requires current high school students to make a certain score on each section of the ACT so they may take college courses while still in high school. For that reason, I took the ACT for the first time just after my sophomore year, hoping to score high enough for concurrent enrollment. Being a concurrent student allows me to receive college credit so that I may have more time for sports or extracurricular activities when I am an actual college student. My main goal is to major in music then have a career in the music industry. The music industry is a difficult career

Expectations are kept high for me because my parents want me to succeed in all I do. Graduating from high school, I hope to attend college and i will be the first in my family to do so. Growing up the way I did wasn’t easy, seeing my parents struggle was hard, but we still managed to make the best of each day.

In all honesty, my growth in academics have also reflected my perspective on the type of person that I want to be someday. For instance, throughout this entire year, I have progressed the type of person that I want to be in the near future and my ability to become an empowered learner has improved drastically. Knowing that my junior year is one of the most important years in high school, I have set high standards for myself and had applied self discipline on myself as well in order to maintain my path to success. With that being said, not only has self discipline and setting high standards for myself allow me to concentrate more this year, but it has also allowed me to develop a variety of interests and talents as well. Interests such as majoring in film and theater and also helping others have originated once I joined
Growing up in a household with a mother that did not finish high school and a father that did not finish elementary is not an ideal upbringing for any child. I grew up economically impoverished for the majority of my life, and my parents tell me they attribute this to the life choices they made in their youth when they came to this country. Today, I use these circumstances not to debilitate my confidence, but rather as motivation for me to strive for what I once imagined insurmountable.

All throughout my career in high school I have been told we are learning things to better prepare us for the lives we are going to lead. Also we are told that we are preparing for college as well in terms of the information we are required to learn. With that in mind I have tried to keep more practical things in mind when going about my learning and I have tried to pick classes that would challenge me and allow me to grow in some way. When looking at the future in terms of what I would like to continue learning or what I want to start learning there are a lot of different things that come to mind. First and foremost I want to learn things that I can use in my everyday life in the form of a job or something else and I want to be challenged by

In high school, it is very important that students choose classes that gives them experiences in fields that could be their potential careers. Upon entering high school, I made a goal to myself: I wanted to become a better version of myself, realizing my own strengths and weaknesses and, ultimately, preparing to be a part of a completely different atmosphere beyond high school and even college. From the beginning, I knew I was going to find a way to improve academically, as a member of Kingsway’s STEM Academy and Superintendent’s List throughout my high school career. However, I would never think that I, as an eighth grader, would ultimately rise above my classmates, eventually being third in my class freshman year and still enjoying the rigor of taking as many AP and Honors classes as I possibly could fit in my schedule. By being recognized and awarded for my achievements, I finally realized that being this type of student, one that strives to do the best and remains self-motivated no matter what difficulties are faced, gives me a purpose as student and overall enjoyment.
